Please come in knowing everything about what you want or you will be made to feel like an idiot when asking for help. Limited staff, and when I was finally helped I felt like I was bothering them for not knowing a professional name for a plant. Shocker they couldn't find the plant I was looking for either. If we could give 1/2 points I would give them a 3.5, I rounded up. This use to be my favorite Calloways location to get pretty and different plants. The last 2 times I have visited the selections haven't been great and the plants that I am interested in look terrible. I will say the staff here is very knowledgeable and helpful. Calloway's is nothing new to gardening aficionados. This nicely-laid out garden center is a great place to find the larger selection that a true Nursery can provide over places like Lowe's, Home Depot or Walmart, in particular a selection of trees. I am fairly new to the planting scene,having just purchased a house that provides landscaping opportunities. We came here looking for a Chaste Tree (she like purple flowers) and found some at a higher price than we expected, though not unreasonable form a market perspective based on the few other places we've looked. We enjoyed browsing the floor, finding both full sun and shade-friendly plants, nicely trimmed and cared for. The succulents section seemed a little spare, but had plenty to look at. The store is clean, the staff friendly and we will be back! read more

My yard was covered in Autumn weeds. I wasn't optimistic because I have used weed killer granules on my yard pretty often, with only moderate results. I took some weed samples to Calloway's on North Tarrant Blvd. They showed me some weed killer spray that they said would work (picture enclosed). I bought two bottles because I wanted to cover the yard adequately...The spray worked great, and didn't hurt the St.Augustine or Bermuda grass. The best lawn advice I have ever received. read more

I'm so glad we popped into Calloway's Nursery a couple months ago. A few trips later and I've got a few container plants on my patio and my husband and I built our first small raised vegetable garden. The staff is incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. While you can go to a big box store, your won't find the amount of knowledge with every person who works there. Plus their selection of plants, flowers, vegetables, containers, soil, and everything you'd need to landscape can be found here (and high quality). Big shout out to Bonnie and Chad who helped guide us through the "new to vegetable gardening club". I'm looking forward to many more visits and eating the "veggies" of our labor. read more

Great return policy. My expensive delivered tree died and I can take it back minus dirt. It was a cherry weeping tree ($200 plus $60 delivery) not available until spring again but they will return my payment hopefully the delivery change too but not holding my breath. I do get many items from this good nursery. I recommend them and have good memories. Go to the nursery but compare prices to others and return policy. I suggest local places with good selection and what they can do to deliver. Not all plants die. read more

The plants at this location are okay, it's smaller than I thought and the selection of plants are okay. Some look healthy and some don't. I saw a few plants with mealybugs, the staff seem to no have any bedside manners or customer service experience because all they do is stare or talk to each other. The main ones that do talk to customers are the managers, which are very sweet but when your staff isn't following through with the same presence, it changes the experience. I would recommend another location for everyone or support another nursery. read more

Convenient location. Nice selection of plants, flowers, and other garden accessories. Unlike some other reviews, we had a good experience. Employees were courteous at check out; I will say I wasn't quite sure who was an employee and who was a customer. The plants are lovely but VERY expensive. They do not provide any kind of protection for transferring the plants or help with loading them.

I had a really weird experience at this nursery. I just moved into a home and it is spring so I needed to purchase a lot of stuff. Filled my cart with all sorts of things including some flower arrangements that I saw. I had to wait in a really long line to check out. Right as I get up to the register to pay a female employee comes up and tells me that the flower arrangements in my cart are for someone else that preordered them! I asked if she could point me to where they have similar arrangements that I can purchase and she said that they don't have them and I will just have to look around and pick something else out. She literally took the arrangements out of my cart and wheeled them off and just pointed out at the sea of plants for me to start over again looking. I left the line and looked around but the whole experience was strange so I just decided to leave without buying anything. I went to another nearby nursery and had a much better experience and they had a better selection. read more

Very disappointed, Drove 30 minutes in the hopes of getting some good advice for lawn care, fertilizer, over-seeding etc. Asked 4 different employees for advice and nobody could answer a single question. All anyone would say is, "everyone's unloading the truck" without offering to help. Waited around for a while and finally left. Definitely won't ever return. This is my first time at this location. I don't know if the folks there were just having a bad morning, but what an unpleasant experience. I was one of a few customers and at no point while I was shopping g was I even acknowledged. A simple hello would have been nice. I got to the register and something was obviously going on with the woman there. She was on the phone while she helped the customer ahead of me. Instead of letting us know she would be a moment, she put the caller on hold and left to go talk to someone while we stood there trying to figure out what was going on. Very poor customer service. There was nobody at the cash register. Each time we were asking someone for help, they made it seem like we were inconveniencing them to answer our questions. I put in an online order on 8/1/2021 to pickup at store on North Tarrant. I've called Sunday , the girl answers the phone and don't know how to check the online order, so I left a message for the manager to call me. Again, I called on Monday 8/2 and Kelsey or Carrie answered, again she doesn't know how to check the online orders. This time I tell her that I ordered a plat of St Augustine Palmetto plugs and 2 elephant ears, so she told me that there out of elephant ears and she'll have her manager call me. I mentioned to her that the payment has already been taken out of my account and also asked her what was there online ordering & pickup procedures. Both store employees that I talk to doesn't have a clue on the process nor do they know how to check on your online order. If a business doesn't have the time, manpower or desire to offer a type of service then they need to halt the actual service immediately. Now I need to physically go in the store and get my refund. I'll take my business somewhere else. read more
