If you stop in too close to 7:00pm ( when they close) they will make it very clear you are NOT welcome there.

I have now shopped here 3 times. This is a combined Home Goods/TJ Maxx, so I am reviewing both…read more What to love: Quality items at great prices. I come mostly for the kitchen and bathroom items. I am also pleasantly surprised by the number of dresses they stock (way more than similar stores like Ross and Marshall's). Anything you are tempted to look for on Amazon, get here instead, and it will be cheaper and of much higher quality. I am extremely pleased with the glass mugs, bath towels, soap dishes, and cutting boards I picked up this year. I also found a lovely dress for family pictures. The cashiers are careful about wrapping and bagging my breakable purchases. What not to love: All Home Goods/TJMaxx (and nearly every "discount" store I have ever seen) are a mess - too many items stacked on the shelves, and bargain hunters dishevel everything even more rooting through the stock. This one is probably worse than average; be prepared to dig through piles to make your finds. This location is awful when it comes to wait time at the checkout. It was much better during my last visit, with many more cash registers open (so maybe they are improving?), but my first two visits necessitated 45 minutes of standing in line at the checkout. Ridiculous. Overall: Home Goods/TJ Maxx stock amazing bargain items, but if you have the option, there are better locations.

Great prices for so much fun! Love the themed items they get in, Halloween Christmas etc.read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Target that left me embarrassed and frustrated…read more I was in the self checkout line with my children. There were about eight self checkout stations in use, and multiple carts clearly had more than ten items. As I was next in line, an employee named Eddie told me I needed to move out of self checkout and go to a register, which meant going to the back of a different line. I asked whether this was a suggestion or if I was being told to move. Another employee, Patty, then spoke up and said I was being told to move because I had more than ten items. The issue is consistency. I was not the only customer over that item count. Several others were allowed to remain in self checkout without comment. I was the only one singled out. The only obvious difference was that I had children with me. Being publicly redirected while others were ignored felt targeted, unnecessary, and frankly humiliating. The tone from both Eddie and Patty lacked basic courtesy or explanation. There was no effort to be respectful or consistent. It came across as staff convenience rather than policy, and it showed a real lack of basic human decency in how customers are treated. I have shopped at Target for years, but the quality of service at this location has noticeably declined. If rules are going to be enforced, they should be enforced fairly and respectfully. Otherwise it feels like profiling, not customer service. I am genuinely curious. Have other customers experienced this kind of treatment here, especially parents or families? Or is basic courtesy just no longer part of the experience at this store?

I needed something as simple as 2 bathroom rugs. The selection is huge, but with my luck, didn't have the color I want. I'll check another location. I spent well over an hour just walking the aisles to see what all they have. The wall art, rug section, and outdoor sections are truly huge. Otherwise, a chain-level Home Depot that delivers expected service and prices. This store is conveniently located on 35W at Basswood, although an argument that can be made that nothing is convenient about that stretch of 35W because it is traffic-bound nearly all friggin day. But I digress... For certain things, like shower heads and tools, Home Depot has better prices than Amazon. As drawn as I am to the convenience of Prime next day delivery, the benefit of the touchy-feely factor for home improvement supplies is likely to keep the brick and mortar model alive and well for Home Depot. It's really one of the few retail businesses that's insulated from the web extinction because literally every time I walk in I feel *empowered* to build and fix stuff. So yeah, there'll always be a place for Home Depot. This location of three within a 15 minute's drive or so from me. I tend towards the Keller store because it's easier to enter and exit, always has the items I need, and is slightly cleaner.
