I must admit I was very leery of the services they would have here - I mean come on - I'm from San Francisco and lived in NY, places where spa services are top notch all over the city, and I'm here in MAINE?? How good can a deep massage REALLY be in a small town of Maine? Well, I'm glad I can say I was proven WRONG! I had a one-hour treatment with Tiffany, and let me tell you - her knowledge and skill could have presented her from any cosmopolitan city - San Fran, NY, LA, etc. (but not Boston: sorry, but i had two different experiences in Boston that definitely was not at that level). I gave specific areas to be worked on, and she knew exactly what to do, and then some! I loved that she wanted to know exactly what I wanted - more of a general body massage? or more time on a specific area? - the latter of which is what I needed (iliopsoas/iT band,etc). She really went in there, slowly and carefully, and yes, DEEPLY and THOROUGHLY. She made sure I knew what was going on, and during the whole time was very pleasant to chat with, as well as making my session informative. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. I also want to make note that Tiffany told me she was the youngest person (by experience there), and that only let me know how solid and serious the spa represents itself. I believe it has been around for over 10 years, and I guess their word-of-mouth is so entrusted as it even can be difficult to find a time slot to come in. Amber was absolutely awesome at answering questions and concerns and was so prompt. She helped me pick out my lip wear so I could do my own touch ups. I showed her lots of pictures of hair and makeup ideas for everyone and she let me know how long it would take and pricing. She was so helpful and reassuring to this nervous bride. On the day of the wedding they arrived on time with everything they needed. They were open to lots of ideas and made helpful suggestions. Amber used airbrush makeup to make me look flawless and beautiful. Rachel took time to put in alllll of my hair extensions and give me the exact romantic style I was dreaming of. They made all of my bridesmaids,mom and mother in law look absolutely gorgeous. They were both so much fun and worked so well together. We loved having them there. There prices were reasonable and I loved that they come to location.

I swear it was 20 minutes from the time I walked in until she threw me out the back door. I didn't get just a hair cut but also a waxing. I called for an appointment and asked if I could come right away since I was getting my oil changed at O'Connors. I needed a fresh cut and I was told Whitney would take me. COOL! So, Whitney starts cutting my hair (dry, which she told me is how she does it) and I thought Edward Scissorhands was doing my hair because hair was flying all over the place! So much so that I was spitting it out as I was trying to speak to her. I thought she would use the blow dryer and get the hair off of me but NO...NO, she sent me on my way with hair all over me. I asked when I got there if they have a waxing service and Whitney said yes that she would check when she finished my hair. (I don't know why she didn't check then.) By the time Whitney asked, the Esthetician had left for the day so Whitney decided to do it herself. The Esthetician had turned off the waxing pod so it was already cool but Whitney used it anyway. She said something about it being too cold but that didn't stop her. Needless to say, it was a terrible job. All she did was rip my skin. When I got home and looked at what she had done I was so mad. She never used anything to get the COLD WAX off my face, didn't use a tweezer to get any hair she missed, never even gave me a mirror to look at myself. My eyebrows and lip were exactly they way they looked when I walked in (until the next day when my skin started to peel). I'm pretty sure she wasn't supposed to be doing the Esthetician's job because she threw me out the back door. I payed $50.00 for a short hair cut, eyebrow and lip wax without knowing how I looked. I tipped her $7.00 and left out the back door. I walked back to O'Connors and thought about how my tip was too cheap so when I retrieved my car I went back to give her another couple of dollars. I went in and asked for her again and was told her was in the back getting her hair did!! Well, now I get it...she was in such a hurry because she was waiting to get her own hair done!! OH, SHOOT!! Why didn't you say something and I wouldn't have gone there. I spent $60.00 and got an "OK" hair cut and terrible waxing. I looked like an idiot by the time I got back to O'Connors!! I tip very well so it bothered me that I didn't give her 20%. Now, I really wish I would have seen the terrible job she did before I went back to give her more tip money.

I've gone to her for waxing only and somehow she does the best job while also making it not hurt too much and I don't breakout as much. Her new place has ample parking (it's easiest in the back of the building so that you can exit from there). It's a cozy room with freshly changed linens. I plan on getting a facial from her soon, though I will need to book ahead as she gets busy in the summer! Now if only she would do eyebrow threading!
