She is skillful in relaxing muscles and breaking up muscle tightness as well as working on specific areeas needing loosening of the facia. She has a wonderful understanding of the muscles and sub structures and can relieve tightness and cramping as well as increase stimulation and reduce pain. I found her using a Groupon special and ended up going twice more in the two weeks I was vacationing here, as well as sending my son to her and recommending her to our friends in the area. She does real bodywork and found the points in my shoulder that were giving me issues all the way down to my wrist and hand. After that first hour, I decided it was worth coming back for 90 minutes at a time to allow for this more targeted work as well as get a full-body massage, which combined deep tissue, stretch and more traditional Swedish techniques. Anna was one of only a few massage therapists I have encountered who talked to me about stretches and at-home ways to alleviate the same-old same-old problems I (and many others who spend all day hunched over a computer) have.... she is both knowledgeable and dedicated. In a basement with very low-lighting and little windows. Went in for a couples massage and we had to go one after the other. They said because they didn't have two masseuses the price would be discounted but we ended up paying more than the listed price on the door. The massage experiences was terrible as well. The lady walked in on me while changing and didn't leave the room and watched me change. I got on the bed with a towel and underwear on and she ripped the towel and underwear off of my body. She never asked before hand if I was comfortable with this and I was extremely nervous. The masseuse got ON TOP of the bed with me and straddled my naked body with her legs and i was very uncomfortable. I was never asked for a massage preference and it was very rough and unpleasant. When leaving a tip for the receipt the lady was very weird about me signing it. I attempted to pick the receipt up to look at it and she kept her hand pressed on it so she could watch me write the number for a tip. I tipped very well. As soon as I was done she took the paper and examined it and looked at me like I had not tipped enough. EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
