If anyone is thinking about taking Hospitality Management you'll be glad you did at PCC from Dr. Mark Keene. There's ALOT of homework and ALOT of detail but trust me its all good. Financial aid office was extremely helpful with anything I needed they were there to take of my financial needs and made sure all was taken care of on time. The student services office that help students out with grocery cards or gas cards were all very cool and always helpful. So if PCC is on your mind I say give it a go!

As a music major, they have excellent programs regarding the arts and have a separate building specifically for the arts. Although, sometimes music classes may be held at other buildings. I did finish with 70 credits with a 3.0 GPA although, when it comes to counseling and class advisory, they're not much help unfortunately. Basically for the most part, you do have to figure it out on your own. I generally did have a good experience and education at PCC. Especially with understanding with how music works when it comes to theory. Some of the learning is hands on and off. When it comes to college social life, if I'm being honest, it was great to make the connections I did...although, I should've mainly focused on trying to further my education rather than distracting myself. Other than that, it's generally a good community college if you're coming out of high school and a beautiful campus in my opinion.

Parking was $220 + Sales Tax during Fall/Spring semesters. Winter/Summer are a bit cheaper. As a business major, professors here in my experience weren't the best. Rarely you'll get a highly knowledgeable professor with legit experience in the field you're studying in. Some professors just make me wonder how in the world they get to teach in the first place. For example, we had an HR professor making us type 10 page essays every week with no substance to it. Overall: I did enjoy my experience here. I did what I can in those 2 years, 1 year being remote. Worked here as a SA. There's definitely a lot of improvements needed to be made. From school initiatives, in-house internships, old buildings that need to be replaced, library study room filled with mold, administration-student relationships etc. Students should be more engaging here and I just didn't get the vibe here in most classes. My recommendation if you're considering going here is to do as much research as you can and try your best to foster self-initiatives and join clubs or work on campus. I'll comment in particular on the academics of the School of Theology…read more I found a trilogy of major theological approaches, which are not separate and distinct but integrally interconnected; yet an identification proved very helpful to me On one hand, there was Biblical Studies. In addition to what you may expect "Bible study" to be, as I had been doing it for all of my Christian life, this approach focuses heavily on parsing essential Greek or Hebrew words (I often tell people some of those words cannot be accurately translated in less than a paragraph), on details of historical and cultural contexts (context is everything!), and on identification of authors and their biographies. All of this is highly important; yet after I while I began to feel bogged down in minutiae. Another major approach is Systematic Theology. This formulates doctrinal overviews overarching all of what the Bible and the Christian Church teach. It's great for developing a biblically-based worldview, for enabling us to bring together perspectives that may superficially appear widely divergent. Eventually, though, I began to it could be too much of an ivory tower head trip (the same reaction I had to my undergraduate philosophy course, BTW). What I discovered at Fuller was a great middle ground: Biblical Theology. This bridges Biblical Studies and Systematic Theology, crucially incorporating indispensable elements of both; yet the focus is on what the scripture actually teaches. Biblical Theology is the conclusion of the quests of Biblical Studies and Systematic Theology. Biblical Theology is what I fell in love with. It's the core of the ministries the Lord has me in now.

They also don't follow their own published policy's. For nursing school the lack of empathy and understanding they have for their students is foul. As an RN I always encourage other future RNs and LVNs to avoid this school completely.

As a yelper here for over 13 years, I don't sugarcoat my words (or in my reviews), and I don't intend to do so here either. The USC program is rigorous and not for everyone. There were so many readings that I often genuinely wondered if it was even humanly possible to get through them all. Granted, I am a slow reader, and that certainly did not help. Beyond the beautiful campus and the prestige that comes with the school, more importantly know that there is no financial aid for tuition fees for master program. Education does not come cheap. Still I am grateful for the learning experience and for my many professors who were simply wonderful and amazing professionals. A big shout out to Dr. Julianna Kirschner, Professor Monica Koyama, Dr. Muthuswamy and Dr. Courtney Pade. P.S. I didn't attend this prestigious University; however, I joke that I am an honorary alumna. My brothers from another mother all graduated from here, and I attend Homecoming with them every year. In fact, I used to work with Eddie Tannenbaum who discovered Traveler (USC's Mascot) when he was a junior in 1961. The campus is beautiful and features several Romanesque Revival style buildings. A portion of the main campus was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. The Coliseum is in walking distance. I've attended many football games here over the years and have seen Clay Matthews, Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, & Matt Leinart play. I remember the glory days of Pete Carroll. Our favorite tailgate party is the one hosted by LAMBDA. They have a great DJ, delicious food, a premium bar, fun activities and, of course, fabulous attendees! This year we were treated to yummy eats from Bludso's BBQ & tasty treats by Ice Cream Occasions. When the party was over, we all headed to the Coliseum for the match between the Trojans & the Huskies. Sadly, we lost this game but we will continue to Fight On!
