Keep in mind, my uncle has been going to this clinic for several decades and this is his first time seeing Dr Andrew Fung, who was extremely inconsiderate, rude, and unhelpful. Uncle went in to receive the documents needed for his blood work. They gave him the WRONG documents, it was the blood work papers for another patient of theirs (who is female and not even the same gender as my uncle). They were not careful and didnt check the paper before giving it to him! So he had to go back a 2nd time to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, the front desk and doctor kept claiming that no mistake was made, not checking the name on the paper and still insisting that they were right. They ignored his concern, met him with animosity, and kept insisting he was wrong. The doctor was extremely rude, dismissed him, and didnt care to assess the issue at all. They were extremely rude, inconsiderate, and brash. It wasn't until my uncle had the chance to point out the discrepancy in the names and they finally realized the issue. But they didnt apologize at all! My relative ended up leaving without a resolution. And will never be coming back again. If accuracy, competency, and compassion mean a lot to you when seeing a doctor, then DONT GO HERE.

He essentially saved me from an ER visit by carefully and skillfully putting my jaw back in place. He was very thorough, explaining what he was going to do and how he would do it, and he talked me through the whole process. Thanks to him, the procedure was quick, smooth, and far less scary than it could have been.

Has an attitude, does everything so slow, has no empathy. The staff unfortunately bad as well. Slow, no empathy, and get irritated with questions or concerns once they finally see you. We had an appointment at 10:30am. Did not get seen until 11:40am. Doctor seemed bothered overall and overwhelmed. Doctors and nurses do a lot for us and I understand they can be burnt out. But the type of care given here is terrible. Either they need more staff or higher pay so they can do their job without making patients feel like nuisances. Also it's nearly impossible to schedule an appointment over the phone. Only way we've been able to schedule an appointment is coming in person.

I unfortunately witnessed a staff member with shoulder length hair scream at a patient who just had opened the door to exit. She also pushed away another patient aside prior to this incident. After reading some of the reviews, I guess it's different when the situation is different? Please…read moreunderstand that this happened in 2006. At 21, I was diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome and needed emergency spinal surgery or else I wouldn't be able to walk for an even longer time or function without diapers. Not only was this a huge mental shock, but I was on a walker and unable to stand on my own. The waiting room was chaotic with people and most of them were the elderly. The receptionist wasn't pleasant but I had been referred to Dr. Tsai by my orthopedic specialist doctor that morning. So, as I waited for the time to go by and the office to close, I did see many people sitting there go in and out. Some people tried to walk in and heckle with the receptionist about changing appointments or making appointments on the spot. As each person grew frustrated and angry, I could only watch. But, when the waiting room was empty, I was brought in and sat down with Dr. Tsai, who reminded me of Winnie-The-Pooh. The news of surgery in an hour stunned me but he was very personable and kind as he explained the process and what was to happen. Later, at Garfield Hospital, I changed and as the anesthesiologist had me count backwards, I felt a strange sense of ease and it was because I knew what was going to happen since Dr. Tsai explained it to me. Although he wasn't there when I woke up, he visited me soon after and was very relaxed and at ease. I found out later that he had spoken to my frantic family and comforted them in the waiting room, letting them know I was alright and showing them the removed bone fragments. He broke my fear of not being able to walk for a few months (according to nurses) by picking me up and standing me up. He restored plenty of my hope and, though my back has never been the same, my sheer will to live and strive for greatness has never died off. The fact I returned to finish my 4th year of college one week later was because of his skill and kindness. He encouraged me despite delivering the bad news, and gave me hope when I felt at my worst. I am deeply thankful to him for this experience. May Dr. Tsai Rest In Peace.

The front office operations are SEVERELY lacking though. I have encountered numerous problems when trying to schedule appointments; basically you have a small window of time to call(9:30-12 then 1-2:30), and if the receptionist is busy, the phone will ring, go to voice mail and then the voice mailbox will be full so you cant even leave a message. Additionally, I feel that all appointments are scheduled at the same time. 9:30. Then you sign in and the order you are seen is the order in which you put your name on the sign in sheet. This is fine for most of the folks who see the doc, but if you have other obligations like work, you could be waiting behind 10 people to see him. Front office gets 1 star. Recommendations? hire an extra receptionist or define their roles better, stagger appointments so that the waiting room isn't backlogged, and invest in a more robust phone system. (5+1)/2=3stars

Was brought here by a friend immediately on Friday night and had surgery Saturday morning to get a titanium rod and screws. The nursing staff was excellent, and my surgeon Dr. Shah was super cool and did a phenomenal job. From Friday to Monday, they did everything possible to keep me comfortable. TBH I'm shocked this place only has 3 stars... it's a great hospital with an even better staff. And yes they have a reputation for food and it's actually pretty good, however it's a bit bland for patients, way better as a visitor. Anyways, highly recommend them. Will not return LOL

During my delivery, Dr. Edward Merchant allowed my due date to lapse significantly. On the day of delivery, I was ignored for hours following the departure of the head nurse. Despite my deteriorating condition, Dr. Merchant refused to intervene and went to sleep in the physician's rest area. A code was eventually called when my blood pressure dropped dangerously low. My previous physician, who was on call, had to intervene to perform a crash emergency C-section. Furthermore, Dr. Merchant falsified my medical records by documenting the event as a "normal uneventful delivery." It was an emergency crash C-section as confirmed by the nurses to me the following day. In a subsequent emergency room visit for a severe allergic reaction, I was dismissed by the triage nurse, Maryann Magdaleno, RN, and sent back to a filthy, crowded waiting room for hours. I eventually went home and was called back at 3:00 AM, at which point my blood pressure was 60/0. While my chart indicates I was seen by a Dr. Stinnett, I never saw a physician during that visit. Despite reporting these incidents to the appropriate oversight agencies and the BRN, I have not received a satisfactory resolution. The hospital has continued to stonewall requests for information regarding staffing schedules and this particular nurse on call that night. I am formally expressing my concerns regarding the unethical and unprofessional conduct I recently experienced from Huntington Hospital medical staff. This behavior compromised my safety and fell well below the expected medical standards for their scope of practice. It is essential that the personnel involved are held accountable for these actions to ensure that future patients do not encounter the same lack of care and professionalism. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to address this matter. These experiences were devastating, and I cannot recommend Huntington Hospital to anyone seeking safe or professional medical care.
