My mother's funeral was on a Monday 9/23 and it was a date they forced on us, not when we wanted it. We had to do everything ourselves. They didn't even do the displays or the enlarged picture that goes next to the casket. We were told that they don't offer those service. They didn't even help with floral arrangements we had to do it on our own. The cards they made for my mom were cheap looking, very poorly made out if regular paper. All thither funeral homes do it on a hard stock paper or have them laminated. Not this horrible place, they just used a regular printer paper. We sent them corrections to the obituary and they never got fixed so we shared the wrong information and dates with our loved ones, because of these incapable individuals who do nothing buy use people's grief to earn money. They charged me $600 to see my mother, after they said it would be free. I asked if I could come see her that day once again, they said yes but they'd have to charge me another $6000. Workers were rude, full of attitude and u professionalism. To make it all worse, we were told that all floral arrangements brought to the chapel would be taken on mom's grave. That didn't happen either. They called us 5 mins after the funeral was over to come and pick them up ourselves. The whole funeral cost around $19,000 and they did NOTHING! We had to take care of everything ourselves. Horrible place with horrible people working therez rspecially Taylor. totally useless to help but an expert to charge youfor even breathing near her. They need to be shut down and they all deserve to rot in hell for taking advantage of grieving people.

So many funeral homes where I have gone to view those who have passed look so fake with so much makeup that they just don't look natural. I would not want our loved ones at any other funeral home. I just saw my husband of nearly 52 years today, and he looks so natural like he's just sleeping. They did such an awesome and impressive job. Not only have we known the Boldt family for 3 generations, but there is absolutely nobody else I would trust with the care of our loved ones. I trust everything they do from contacting appropriate entities of the passing, to their billing, and their awesome willingness to help in any and every way they can. They are transparent about all their charges and there are never any surprises. I do not work for them, I am not related to them. I just know them and what they have done for all our families. In fact before my husband died, told me to make sure I contacted Scott Boldt. I can't say enough good things and could go on and on. Just know you are in good hands with compassionate and caring staff.

Rachel, our Coordinator, and the rest of the staff at Boldt walked us through the decision-making process with genuine care and attention to our wishes and needs. There is (I learned) an unbelieveable amount of detail and forethought that a wake/funeral/burial demands, but we never felt burdened, thanks to their clear presentation of those options, and their patience with our zillion questions and requests. The staff thought of EVERYTHING; they truly know what they are doing. Boldt has the expertise from decades of helping families plan funerals, PLUS they have kept current with options that are fresh or more personalized. They had great advice when we turned to them with questions (length of wake, food to serve at the funeral, amounts for honorariums, casket options) and gave us "full reign" in those instances when we knew exactly what we wanted, and just needed someone to show us how to achieve it (personal design on bulletin, and very specific fonts/spacing/lay-out we wanted in various parts of the bulletin). A couple examples of their attention to detail or going the extra mile: after the funeral, they didn't just collect the little cards from each floral display to hand to us, they took a picture of each floral display and the card that accompanied it, and then gave us a full-color print-out of those photos to help us remember who gave us which floral display (SUPER helpful when writing thank you notes). AND - they didn't expect us to remember to bring our checkbook to the funeral for the honorariums (to the pastors, organist, reception committee, etc), they brought, in cash, the dollar amounts we had decided upon for each honorarium, so we could deliver the honorariums the day of the funeral. AND - they didn't just videotape the funeral, they copied the videotape of the funeral to a thumbdrive that also included the slide show of pictures we had compiled. AND ... did you know that after greeting and speaking with many guests at a wake, your throat gets dry, but you don't have time to step out and get a drink? I hadn't thought of that, but I didn't NEED to, because Scott and his staff were keeping an eye on us and handing us water bottles in intervals. And these are just a few examples. We are extremely grateful to Boldt Funeral home for helping us create a "goodbye" for our Dad that was meaningful to his memory and comforting to us, while they took care of the large and small details in the background.
