I love the service and the music love that we read from the Bible Iam 21/2 months new to this church

Yesterday was my grandmother's funeral. But it didn't feel like a funeral. It felt like a church sermon. A service. Not a celebration of life as they said it was. They only originally allowed 2 immediate family members to speak about my grandmother. And my family fought for 4. But her grandchildren and any other family members who didn't speak were subjected to the karaoke mic in the Cafe AFTER the service which not one person used. I couldn't speak on my grandmother's funeral because they needed to have a sermon to fulfill their agenda of speaking on whether a boy should be a boy or a girl should be a girl going as far as bringing chromosomes into the mix. I couldn't speak at my grandmother's funeral because they needed to pump 1 more worship song into the mix to meet a quota I'm assuming. The 2 pastors spoke more about the "word of God" than my actual gramma. Some said this is what she would have wanted but no it wasn't. She was a godly woman yes but she was a Family Woman and would have wanted everyone to get together and speak and tell stories. I have been to many funerals. I was even able to speak at my coworkers funeral. But I couldn't speak at my grandmother's. Absolutely the worst funeral I've ever been too as it was hijacked and used by the church instead of sending her off or giving the family the closure we needed. You can't fix this. There isn't a "redo" button. My grammas gone. An absolute travesty of a service for a woman who deserved the world. A woman who made towels for all of my swimmates in highschool with their names on it, but no one will know. The same woman who joined me on many business adventures like buying a cutco set from me or joining me when I joined Primerica for a short time. A woman who made me shirts for my reptile business to support me. The woman who gave me my green thumb. But no one will know. Because I didn't get to speak at my grammas funeral. read more

Calvary Chapel has always been a Bible teaching Christian church with no denominational ties. The Bible teaches main thing; God is love. God is just. We are born into sin and each of us sadly is condemned to Hell because no sin whatsoever is allowed in God's perfect righteousness. If you want to know the truth about Jesus, about God loving you so much that he put his own son on the cross to pay for our sins... That it is absolutely true you have only to ask in faith, to pray to God believing he is real and will answer you... My witness is that I went through the same thing, even with fear speaking at that moment, not knowing for sure what would happen. Most other Born again believers will tell you similar stories, but each person is unique and how they met God for the first time. Though I was feeling fear and struggling, I spoke with my mouth and believed with my heart in truth... And amazingly Jesus came into my heart by his holy spirit, he bonded with my soul and I was born into the kingdom of God. That's why Jesus said you must be born again. We are born into this world, into this dimension of existence. And to go to heaven we must be born into God's dimension of existence. It is simply like having dual citizenship in one country and in another. It is that simple fact and it is real. You cannot get into another country without a passport. God has required accepting Jesus as your lord and savior as your passport. He is the only way you will get to heaven. And God offers this passport absolutely free, zero work on your part except to put your faith in Jesus and ask him to save your soul. God offers the completely FREE GIFT of eternal salvation to live in heaven with God forever (and immediate deliverance from hell and eternal separation from God). No matter how you feel if you read this, scared, full of doubt even, confused, it doesn't matter emotionally from God's perspective. If you speak out loud, you talk to God believing that he is real and that he hears you, you tell him that you accept that Jesus paid for all your sins because you can't do it yourself, you ask him to save your soul, and to give you eternal life with him... And if you mean what you say from your heart, it will happen and God will reveal himself to you, you will start a relationship with him. It's the same as meeting anyone else for the first time. But with God, you will be with him forever, he lives in eternity. And your soul and relationship with him will never end, ever. read more

What a great church. Pastor Gary is one of the very best Bible teaching pastors I have seen in years at a church. Along with Wednesday night Bible study with Pastor Brandon, who is also an amazing Bible teacher. Two at one church! Wow thank you Lord Jesus! I have been attending since January 2022. Went to visit Calvary Chapel of Hemet,Ca ,pretty nice church,some people their where very friendly,enjoyed the Senior Pastor Gary Johnson and his teaching and wonderful message to the fathers on Father's Day ,my neighbor sitting next to me made me feel welcome Mr Mario and pastor wife Mrs Suzie and Mrs Valerie and the usher's at the door entrance,be blessed. read more

Best Christian church I've found in this area. Being kind of new here, I've pretty much tried them all and Calvary chapel Hemet has become our home. Pastor Gary is awesome. I really enjoy the way he teaches us the word of the Bible. He is light hearted and funny. It's easy to follow him through sundays service. 100% recommend. read more
