This school is awful. I could write a whole book about my experience. It's been a while but I'm just very concerned about the children that attend this school. If you care about your child's mental health and faith do not send them there. It completely changed my views on Christianity and I questioned my faith for many years after attending. They only care about drug testing, what your wearing and what your doing outside of school. They also only care about money and how much the parents are contributing. I've posted a review before and it was deleted. Funny. Just very strong and putting the word out there so other children do not have to suffer mentally especially years and years after they even leave. It caused me mental health issues. The people there didn't let my son fit in, the only reason he still wants to go there is because of the spiritual emphasis.

We absolutely LOVE having our daughter at CCHS!! She has attended since 9th grade and every year has been better than the last. She's made great friends, the teachers are beyond friendly and always helpful. The administrators run a tight ship so if your child isn't a rule follower, it's probably not a good fit. It's a college prep high school so they are very on top of the students academia and SAT prep which is a bonus. read more

I really wish I could give Calvary a great review, but I simply cannot. We toured the school last year and loved it. This year, I excitedly put in her application and scheduled her shadow day. What happened at her shadow day made us completely withdraw her application to Calvary. We are a mixed denomination family. My daughter attends a non-denominational church with my husband, and myself and my son are both Catholic. There are multiple reasons for this, which I explained in her application. During the interview process, my daughter was told "No offense to your mom, but our church and your church serve the local community and the Catholic churches don't really do that." This is an absolute lie and I'm perturbed that any school administrator would say this to my child. We did receive an apology, however it was also said that they do not speak poorly of other churches, which is clearly what was happening. Any sentence started with "no offense to your mom, but..." is obviously extremely intentional. There is so much talk about indoctrination in public schools, however, for a school claiming to be a Christian school, I expected more. Very un-Christlike behavior on the part of this staff member. Please be warned about this if you are any other denomination that they may perhaps disagree with. read more

I think that the teachers are very good, but the administration is dragging the school down. When I had a student enrolled at this school they not only had a mindset that they practically spoke for God and cause most of the students to hide who they truly are which ultimately comes out after they leave or graduate, but they are also restrictive in what they allow their students to do academically. A student would have more options academically if they went to any other school (public or private). They other negative comments show how the school is being dragged down by the administration. read more

I agree with the last post, I'm very surprised to read the negative reviews. While there are families there who are considered very wealthy, I am by no means "rich" or overly religious and sent both my children to Calvary (my youngest is graduating this year) was the best decision I ever made for them. They received an amazing education, the sports facilities are phenomenal and the teachers and a staff have been absolutely wonderful, not "fake" at all as one of the reviews stated. Went to a track meet at the school. Great campus, fantastic track! Looks like a mini college. Met some of the teaching staff who were also friendly and courteous. Great event!! read more

It is very sad to see some of the negative reviews. My son transferred from a public school to Calvary. Although no school is perfect we had a wonderful experience. Are the rules strict? Yes, and as a parent I appreciated that partnership to help keep our child on the right track. The teachers there are so loving and encouraging, giving so much of their own personal time to any student that asks. Maybe we appreciated more because this was our first experience with a private school? We are by no means wealthy and I felt my son was accepted and thrived. He has a much deeper appreciation for God, a better understanding of the Bible, and chose to get baptized during chapel his senior year. He now goes to church in college and has even joined a Christian bible study. I understand there are always people that want something different but for us Calvary was a blessing. read more

Don't take these bad reviews with any weight. This is a great school and they definitely do a great job of preparing students for whatever stage of life follows their education. They do a fantastic job of teaching student valuable life skills. They are Christian and all the teachers teach with an authentic love for Christ. I went for two years and I loved the teachers, athletics, and education. It is a great school. In opposition to another review yes of course you can't control the students authenticity (being an actual Christian) but the teachers and administration have their hearts and minds in the right place. read more

Please don't send your kids to this school just because you're rich and want to flaunt your money, because that's what my parents did to me, and I was miserable. I graduated from there a few years ago, and I have to say all four years I spent there were atrocious. I watched all my happy friends freshman year turn into depressed, angsty teens by their senior year. If you ask most any of the kids there what they actually think of the school they will tell you the same. It's miserable, and it's fake. The school only values and gives scholarships to the kids whose parents donate. How do you think all of the teacher's whose kids go there magically get scholarships? One of the English teachers has two or three kids (that all suck) and somehow they all got scholarships. Not to mention the principal's son somehow got a FULL scholarship (doing the same exact classes and getting WAY worse grades than like..everyone else. The kid was immature and annoying). The kids that win class president and such are all rich, entitled little brats, and their parents are no better. The only good thing about the school is the teachers (90% of them are very caring and wise). But the people who run the school (principals and such) are rude, uncaring, and nosy. You're not a Christian school. You're a bunch of judgemental jerks and I couldn't wait to graduate and write this review. I HATED Calvary Christian. They will make your child feel more judged and trapped than anyone ever has. They stalk their students' social media, and have even kicked out three kids JUST FOR BEING GAY. They drug test EVERYONE for no reason at all, and you ARENT ALLOWED TO POST BATHING SUIT PHOTOS ON YOUR PRIVATE SOCIAL MEDIA OR YOU'LL GET KICKED OUT. I wish I could write a novel about my awful experience. read more
