I have long wanted to go to a drive in theatre. This summer I was finally able to check this item off my bucket list. This is the cutest idea for an evening activity. Make sure to get there early or else you'll be stuck in a long line at the concession stands. Cheeseburger was some of the best I've had in a long time, and so inexpensive. I heard the pizzas are delicious as well. If you are staying for back to back screenings, I recommend grabbing an ice cream cone during the break. I watched Skyscraper and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Picture quality is impeccable, although I did have a hard time hearing from the speakers. Pro tip: bring an old school radio or turn on the speakers in your car and tune into FM for some sound enhancement. What a little gem in Western KY! Next time bring your significant other to create your own Grease drive-in moment, or alternatively your family for some wholesome fun! read more

Made the same review on Google that I'm going to make on here. We went to the drive-in to take my son and a half old for the first time to see Toy story 5. First off the owner did not like my review, but it's the truth. The previous owners took great care their customers And always valued their feedback. This one does not I have ate the at Caver city drive-in for many years under the previous owners. They were what I would consider the second best burger in Western Kentucky only behind but now I would rather eat a McDonald's burger the meat did not have a content which made the burger, dry and stiff, and tasted premade. I also ordered a grilled cheese for my son. It was cold. Couple slices of cheese slapped on a bun tasted like it was microwaved. We also ordered two things of wedges. They were dry and tasted like they was cooked hours ago they taste tasted like they had been sitting under a warmer there was roughly 5-6 wedges and these wedges were extremely small. I made my order 15 minutes before we got there walked in 20 minutes to get my order which was inside a hot box. I watched them put it in there while I was waiting in line. As soon as I paid, they should've checked and seeing if that was my order in the box instead, I waited an additional 10 minutes, for my food we got to the drive-in at approximately 6 PM three hours before the movie There was two people in front of me in line. I used to love the burgers, the pizza the atmosphere but now I will not go back and I will tell everybody this place is no longer what it used to be. read more

One star and thats pushing it. 25 dollars , for admission, 35 dollars for food that was horrible!! We had pizza and cheese sticks, no one ate , not even the kids!! So 60 dollars . We couldn't hear the movie and had 2 speakers. Left at 9:30, very disappointed read more

We have been back a few times since my initial review. The initial salty burgers must have just been my luck (or lack of luck) that first night. I have had the burgers a few times since and they have tasted just fine. The food reviews from the family these past few times has been all good and you can't beat the prices. We started planning our summer drive-in experience in March this year and look forward to more summer fun. read more

So, so great. Believe all the the other reviews when they say the burgers are delicious! And cheap. When we go, we get burgers for the first movie, and a pizza for the second. Yes, a pizza per person. (They're that cheap, and we're pigs). But I have no shame. Unfortunately it's about an hour and a half drive for me but I make it at least twice a year down there solely because it is so fun and well worth every penny. Cheap date and something that the whole family can enjoy. My only recommendation that I haven't seen on here is to bring bug spray!! It's Kentucky by the lakes, there is gonna be mosquitoes. Fun place for all ages. Some of the speakers need maintenance, but the picture quality is pretty good. The concessions are great, but give yourself a lot of time to get through the line. Best burgers around. Cheeseburgers with mustard pickle and onion are perfect, even if you don't like onions and pickles. Pizzas are very good too. I would recommend the chili dog pizza with extra cheese. It's awesome. Real old fashioned cherry syrup for fountain drinks too. And it's all really affordable. The wife and I hadn't been to a drive-in for 25 or 30 years, but we dropped in last night on a whim. Very pleasantly surprised. The digital projection was sharp and bright, and the sound was good. (The movies sucked, but that's not the Calvert's fault.) Also impressive was the fact that the concession building, although ancient, was spotless and well organized, and even the restrooms were clean and neat, with nice tile on the walls and floor. The thin crust pizza was really good, and where else in the world can you still get a box of popcorn for 50 cents? We thought the burgers were pretty decent but overrated by other reviews we found on the net. They would be better if they didn't grill them until all the juice is gone, but they're not bad anyway. Bottom line: give the place a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

Family friendly drive-in with an excellent concession stand. Local folks line up for their burgers, which are greasy, peppery and delicious (not to mention inexpensive). My husband and I splurge once in a while and load up on their burgers, hot dogs, large popcorn, sodas, and candy for less than $15 or $20. The only thing missing (in my opinion) are nachos. read more

This is a very nice drive in. Appears to be new or recently remodeled. Not the biggest place, so you have to come early to get a good spot (or a spot at all some nights). Concession stand has a good selection and prices are very reasonable. It's only $7 per person for 2 movies. The broadcast on FM, but do still have speakers at the car. We really enjoy coming here on a Saturday night (although they barebones every night). read more

Line to the consessions all the way to the back of the drive in! 30 minuets into Alladin, me and my friend decided to go in to the line that was now under half of what the line originally was. We waited in line for an hour and 30 minuets! The service was downright horrible and they had no respect for any of the customers. The person in front of me literally just wanted a cheeseburger, and the workers were making pizzas faster than they cpuldmake her burger! There was plenty of people working. However, the workers wantedtosit and chat with people they knew, and when someone kindly asked them about their order, they got pissy about it. Good place to watch a movie when its not packed, but would not recommend getting their food. The wait is unnecessary and the food is definelty not worth it!!! read more

Customer service here is terrible. We drove 35 minutes to come here and watch Shazam. Got there early, and took the family to the concession stand. Spend over $20 on food. Sat, ate, and waited for the movie to start. Once the movie started, it played for 20 minutes and glitches the entire time. Eventually it froze for good (we waited about 20 minutes to see if it would come back on.) when the movie was still not on, I went into the concession office to inquire. The employees were rude, and not very apologetic. I informed them that we were going to have to leave, because we have a 12 year old with us that had to be at school early the next morning and we couldn't wait longer. They kept giving me the run around, saying wait 5 minutes and it'll be back on. Then they'd run to the back and disappear. Finally, after standing in there for 20 minutes, they told me go to the box office, take my tickets, and get a refund. The box office refunded us and we left. Never once was apologized to or offered anything to compensate for our wasted time there. Guess they were glad we came and spent money on their food, even though we didn't get to watch a film. I sent the owners a message on Facebook asking to discuss, they left it on read. I guess they're scared to deal with customers they know they've screwed over. read more

The only thing I'd say about them, little slow Don't put any extra burgers on the griddle than what's needed which would help speed up the line of ordered and they may over cook them a smidgen at times. Excellent drive in. The food was good, especially the popcorn, which was popped while we waited. Older drive in obviously run by people who care about cleanliness and appearance. They have FM signal for movie sound or if nostalgic can go for the wired speaker. Picture quality was excellent, overall excellent value. read more

Attendance was an offsite chance with young relatives from N Carolina - turned out that this was a perfect choice for the young'uns plus host/hostess Old Farts from Paducah. The concessions were very good and cost-worthy. Now that we live closer, visits to the DI will become more often. read more
