It is in fact old. it is downtown on the main street in the old part of town. It still has a classy name like theaters had in the old days, complete with neon signage to that effect. For those of us of a certain age it's nostalgic, especially for those of us who grew up in a small town. Princeton has done a good job of preserving its bucolic small town charm, and the theater fits into that very well. I don't even live in Princeton, yet for me it's a taste of heaven when I can occasionally visit and walk the downtown and see a movie at the Capitol. And the refreshments are much more reasonably priced as compared to fancier theaters in bigger cities. I usually buy something even if I'm not that hungry, just to help support the theater. I'd never do that in some big-city multiplex! To be fair, there are some things that could stand improvement. The theater overall is in pretty good condition. But a few of the seats have seen their better days. I've always been pleased with the picture quality, but the sound needs some work. Some times it hasn't been as clear or as loud as I'd like it to be. Sometimes I've watched a movie and during quieter scenes I could overhear the sound of another movie that was having a loud scene ( and I tend to like movies that have many quiet scenes). But I can be patient until those flaws are remedied. That aren't many old theaters left nowadays, and especially in small towns. Princeton, you are fortunate to have this treasure. Support it.

Make sure to get there early or else you'll be stuck in a long line at the concession stands. Cheeseburger was some of the best I've had in a long time, and so inexpensive. I heard the pizzas are delicious as well. If you are staying for back to back screenings, I recommend grabbing an ice cream cone during the break. I watched Skyscraper and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Picture quality is impeccable, although I did have a hard time hearing from the speakers. Pro tip: bring an old school radio or turn on the speakers in your car and tune into FM for some sound enhancement. What a little gem in Western KY! Next time bring your significant other to create your own Grease drive-in moment, or alternatively your family for some wholesome fun!

First off the owner did not like my review, but it's the truth. The previous owners took great care their customers And always valued their feedback. This one does not I have ate the at Caver city drive-in for many years under the previous owners. They were what I would consider the second best burger in Western Kentucky only behind but now I would rather eat a McDonald's burger the meat did not have a content which made the burger, dry and stiff, and tasted premade. I also ordered a grilled cheese for my son. It was cold. Couple slices of cheese slapped on a bun tasted like it was microwaved. We also ordered two things of wedges. They were dry and tasted like they was cooked hours ago they taste tasted like they had been sitting under a warmer there was roughly 5-6 wedges and these wedges were extremely small. I made my order 15 minutes before we got there walked in 20 minutes to get my order which was inside a hot box. I watched them put it in there while I was waiting in line. As soon as I paid, they should've checked and seeing if that was my order in the box instead, I waited an additional 10 minutes, for my food we got to the drive-in at approximately 6 PM three hours before the movie There was two people in front of me in line. I used to love the burgers, the pizza the atmosphere but now I will not go back and I will tell everybody this place is no longer what it used to be.

Definitely a good selection of food that you can order along with non-alcoholic/alcoholic beverages to enjoy while you watch your movie. The seating is superb and suitable for larger people as well. My only complaint is the trays seem to be a bit wobbly and if you order a beer there is no use for either of the cup holders. The sound is Dolby Atmos certified (and it's impressive) which is not quite as good as IMAX but probably the next best thing. The video/screen were excellent although I did notice a slight glare from the exit signs. Bathrooms are a bit of a walk from the royal suite, they should have installed a small bathroom in the area. For the price and quality it's hard to complain about anything except for minor inconveniences, I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this hidden jewel!

This is an older theater that has been renovated a couple times in its history. It has been brought up to the current AMC standard which means large reclining chairs and a small bar inside. It is still a modest sized theater relative to what you would find in larger cities, but overall I think this does a good job. Prices are what you would expect these days, but that is pretty much theater standard rather than something unique to this location. I would recommend buying tickets ahead of time since there is assigned seating. It makes a huge difference to be in the center seats all together rather than be on the sides or too far forward. You can also order your food ahead of time so it is ready to go when you arrive. I thought that was a really nice feature. Overall no complaints, it is a pretty standard movie going experience.

Crystal clear laser projection, huge weatherized concert speakers (plus traditional FM radio audio), the bathroom was squeaky clean, and the on-site manager lady was super friendly and helpful.
