This Salon in Vienna, is under new ownership. Thry gave me my first haircut since moving to the area. The owner Shaphali cut my hair and it did not disappoint. I got a fabulous scalp massage and she recommended a moisture treatment and my hair is so soft now. She added some layers and my hair for the first time in forever has actual volume. I'll be going back in 12 weeks. I left relaxed with a bag products guaranteeing my bedroom will smell like an Aveda salon for at least a month! read more

Worse experience in a while. I was rushed una and out. Got my hair pulled. My scalp hurts from the heat so close to it. Not to mention the RUDE STYLIST. My hair is fine, something I could've gotten anywhere else. Not what I asked for but I can work with it. I'm just really disappointed by the terrible terrible service. Did VERY amateur and streaky highlights in my hair. I had come in for balayage highlights as I wanted something that would not look streaky and would blend naturally. The stylist insisted that what I was looking for was foil highlights and said they would still blend nicely. The consult only lasted about 5 minutes and not a lot of questions were asked. The end result is SO bad, the highlights are so streaky, and the color does not blend at all wit my natural hair color. The website says you can return within 7 days to have your hair fixed if you are not happy. I called them the very next day to talk about options, the manger just said she will have to call me back. I have not heard back, so assume they will not be honoring the guarantee to fix mistakes read more

I should of made this review much earlier to warn people. This salon was the worst experience I've had with a business in Vienna in the 15 years I've lived here. My wife went here after reading all the great reviews online about this place. Came in for partial highlights. She didn't understand the stylist or staff enough to explain completely what they were saying to her. Nobody slowed down and no one could speak Spanish. Now she's understands English perfectly what staff didn't even try. She was rushed in and out....and hated the job that was done. She was so unhappy. I gave them my card and didn't check the bill. I Gave stylist 40$ cash before I realized that she was so upset and didn't get what she wanted. I took her to lunch and then saw the bill for salon--$510! I'm thinking this has got to be a mistake. She was there for an hour! For me to pay over 500 shouldn't she be super happy! Furious I sent them an email immediately. Victoria called me and told me she got a "full balayage" and "her hair was very thick". Both of which are false. She said she wanted a partial--they did a partial. They took advantage of her limited English proficiency and charged every fee they could find. Nearly 120$ for the paint alone! I argued with Victoria about the price on the phone for 10 minutes and explained that this was a horrible thing to do to someone and she clearly did not care. I was offered a free "deep conditioning". What???!!! I'm not going back to your salon!! 1.) Enormously overpriced for what you get 2.) shady business practices 3.) communication 4.) didn't care whether or not she was happy. Just in and out. I could go on for an hour about how terrible of an experience I had here. If a legit attempt was made to correct the charges and not overcharge me after I caught them--then we could of parted ways and I would never of bother posting reviews. I recommend you find somewhere else. There are world class stylists on maple at multiple other salons that charge reasonable prices. This is not one of them. read more

I made the appointment a couple hours prior to going in! I went in with red hair and asked if they could get it a light blonde. I expected them to tell me it would take multiple visits etc BUT they didn't ! Debbie was amazing and Lee the manager was sooo supportive. Debbie worked for hours on my hair and did not charge me extra! She literally kept working to get me what I wanted even after the Salon closed, even when it meant closing the salon herself! It was affordable, more affordable than anyone I called in the area. The salon is beautiful, the products are great, and the stylists were dedicated. Debbie did not rush and I am glad she didn't because my hair is soooo blonde And so NOT damaged! It looks healthy, blonde, and beautiful! It's as if the red never existed! I will be recommending them and returning for all my salon needs! read more

The salon is beautiful. I did my highlights two months ago with stylist, Sue. She's excellent and she does exactly what you want! highly recommend her. I've had multiple failed (and expensive) experiences at other salons in the nova area. After some research, I took a chance on Calypso after seeing some pics Negin posted. I ended up having an appt with Maryam instead and she did a great job adding babylights and toning my brassy blonde hair. She was gentle and listened to what I said I wanted and I'll definitely be returning and booking with her for all future appointments. read more

I went here after reading all the amazing reviews. I brought a picture of the cut I wanted that included a super cute style. The stylist appeared to be experienced and had an award for best hairstylist this year. I felt very rushed and do not feel like the hair stylist took the time to figure out what I wanted. While he heard my concerns for my color and took a before and after picture (which I really liked) he went into the haircut quickly and didn't discuss options clearly. He explained I needed more texture in my hair and I agreed but when I saw him taking a razor to my hair (which I explained to the super nice lady washing my hair that my hair had been thinning a lot due to stress) I told him to stop immediately. Now I feel like one side is thinner than the other. I then asked if I could have more layers and asked what he recommended. He said he thought I should do the thinning with the razor. I explained that I have to wear my hair up in the army and I would have too many "fly always" but told him I would prefer more layers. He seemed rushed and questioned that I didn't need layers so I just told him I was done so I could get the heck out of there. I was never asked if I wanted my hair styled or anything. When the owner handed my a card I'd how service was he was standing over me and I did not feel comfortable writing open feedback. When I went to pay they only accepted Venmo for tips and I do not have Venmo. I went to the ATM and returned to tell them about the service and how it felt rushed and the stylist never asked if I wanted my hair styled, they both looked surprised and asked if I wanted to come back and get it styled. I just wanted to get out of there and didn't feel like a got the relaxing, feeling of new beauty I was hoping for. Overall my hair feels gross right now and frizzy which is not normal with Aveda products. While the front desk lady was very nice and the salon was cute I do not recommend if you are looking for that quarterly feel good if getting your hair did. This being my first visit to the salon, I was blown away by how open and CLEAN it was. What a pretty salon!
