What kind of commercial company employee people this negligent? There are a lot of charters in the BVI. Choose one that know how to operate boats. Especially around children trying to swim at the beach.

LOTS OF BETTER CHOICES…read more Captain Abbey was rude and hostile. * went to the wrong pickup spot to start the morning * failed and refused to respond to text messages and calls to get her to pick up at the Westin as booked and paid extra for, until contacting her boss. Then responded with a text stating "...HaHa..." * blasted the music at full volume over the engines to the point that it made your ears ring and when asked to turn the volume down first she turned the music off completely and then turned it back on even louder * never spoke a word to describe the sights - again because she had the music blaring * never got us to a single place to go snorkeling the entire day and told us the snorkeling was not very good in the BVI We had booked for a second day private charter as well. When I requested a different captain, I was told they 'stand by Captain Abbey' and refused to provide a different captain. I stated if they would not provide a different captain that I would cancel, but I was then threatened they would be charge me anyway. In addition, the boat was in poorly maintained with massive tears several feet long all over the boat. In all my years of visiting the USVI / BVI islands and taking private charters out, I have never had a worse experience. AVOID THIS COMPANY

He also let them experience actually driving the boat all the way down the channel (under his supervision of course). Made both of them feel like they were the Captains for the day. We have chartered boats all over the Virgin Islands and we have never experienced such a unique blend of professionalism, courtesy and sincere desire to make your day on the water the best day ever. I was a snorkeling "virgin" and Dusty was very patient helping me to figure out how to get everything on correctly and even gave me some pointers on how to swim deeper and see all the fascinating wildlife underwater. Tell me why the day before the event in Tortola I from the departure was be at 5:30 PM instead of 7 PM I booked no problem ended up leaving St. Thomas to go to Tortola. Departure time 5:30 when these people did not arrive until almost 6 PM to check in., checking in with a little confusing, anyways, we ended up departing on our way arrived BVI and was asked to present our passport and the form that we filled out departure time where I booked was supposed to be 3 AM from Tortola back to St. Thomas, why did the person who worked on the boat? change the time seconds after passport in form was presented saying that we have to be back on the dock by 5 AM instead of 3 AM bear in did not get back to St. Thomas Virgin Islands until 8:30 in the morning, so they dropped us off in Tortola BVI and did not up to their bargain. We were all stranded, cold and hungry. If I were you, I would never book with this company.

We have always taken at least one day sail during each visit to the islands. The Survivan is a very well equipped and modern boat. Jason was very knowledgeable and capable as captain. When making the reservation for the trip I forgot to ask one question. That question being, do you live on the boat? If yes, I try to avoid the boat. What we have found is that when you are visiting the captain's home, the attitude is more that this is my residence as opposed to this is where I run my business. This trip was no exception. When we arrived onboard something seemed to be wrong between Jason and Lou. There was a bit of tension in the air. In fact, Lou did not really interact with anyone until after the first snokel stop. This was also the first time we were offered anything to drink. After a quick sail to a calm area, lunch was served. Lunch was a large sub with several side salads. While we ate on deck Jason and Lou were doing dishes and other housekeeping activities downs stairs. After lunch there was one more snorkel stop and a quick trip back to port. Our experiences in have past have been on boats where you are offered breakfast and drinks as soon as you stepped onboard. The captain and mate are usually talkative beyond belief and willing to serve guest. Lunch varies in quality but is the time when the captain and crew bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need. Jason and Lu were very nice. When prompted they would talk and knew some great details about St. John and St. Thomas. We have taken enough day sails to compare services and boats. The Survivan is not the worst boat we have spent a day sailing. It is however from the best.
