We just returned from our annual trip to the Virgin Islands, and I have to say that the day we spent aboard the beautiful Second Chance catamaran was the highlight of our week.
The four of us arrived at our pre-arranged pickup location in Cruz Bay a few minutes early, and Captain John and Michelle we already close by and waiting for us. We boarded quickly and easily, and after some friendly introductions and a short safety briefing, we were on our way. As we glided along, we breezed past the beautiful north shore beaches of St. John to our right and our destination of Jost Van Dyke a few miles ahead. The trip over to Jost seemed to pass quickly as we listened to our playlist full of island songs and chatted with our gracious hosts.
As we neared Jost, the beauty of the BVI waters surrounded us. While Michelle handled the passport and customs details, John got us up to the dock at Great Harbour. We headed over to Foxy's for a drink or two, and after about an hour we reboarded Second Chance and made the short trip over to White Bay. This is one of our favorite beaches in the world, with soft sand and stunning, crystal-clear water. We spent a few hours relaxing between lunch and drinks from the Soggy Dollar Bar, and soon it was time to sail back to St. John.
With the sun on our faces, a nice island breeze blowing, and some Jimmy, Zac and Kenny music as our soundtrack, we slid through the beautiful waters and chatted some more with our new friends.
John and Michelle, you are the best! Thank you for the hospitality, the smiles, and the great conversation. But most of all, for your graciousness and friendship during that amazing day. We will definitely book with you again, hopefully for a multi-day trip next time.
All the best,
