We took out the SY Sirena on a private charter (5 guests) for a half day (2-6pm) and LOVED our experience!!! We had Captain Maddy and first mate Phillip who were incredible. We went to Lovango for lunch and snorkel then to another snorkel spot to spot turtles (unfortunately no luck but still so fun!). Maddy and Phillip were so kind and accommodating. Phillip is working on his captains license and we would definitely recommend him as a captain when that time comes. He was always asking if we needed more drinks and super chatty! Maddy was so kind, gave us a beautiful smooth sail, and wonderful recommendations on and off of the boat! read more

Had such a great experience!! Staff were so sweet, knowledgeable, funny and friendly and it was such a fun experience!! We booked a boating and snorkeling tour and they took us to Water Island and Honeymoon Beach along with a couple of other places, and we were able to see lots of schools of fish along with a couple of sea turtles. It was so fun and would definitely highly recommend them! Quick warning though, try and book with them with something other than GetYourGuide - for some reason the app got the times wrong for every activity we booked. Did the afternoon four hour charter from Red Hook to some coral reef snorkeling! Our captain was JW and he made sure the spots we anchored to were beautiful! We had drinks on board but brought our own snacks. You need towels and cash for tip but the snorkel gear was included . Our group of 6 adults did a full day tour of snorkeling and beach fun with Captain Bryan. Our excursion was amazing and we had such a great time. The day tour was the highlight of our trip to St. Thomas. We started the day by checking out some beautiful beaches then snorkeled. We got to see sea turtles, coral and fishes. Our Captain Bryan made sure we were all having a good time and most importantly that we all felt comfortable and safe since half of our group doesn't swim. We really wanted to check out Lime Out in St. John and Bryan made sure we made it there at a good time when it wasn't sure busy. Shout out to Captain Warren. During our trip to St. Thomas in December 2022, my husband chartered a boat for us to snorkel on our own. This was such a good idea because you don't bump into folks in the water and end up waiting on folks to come back to the boat. Now we didn't have all the coves to ourselves because there were people from the beach in some of our locations but not many out where we were snorkeling. We visited 4 coves, saw 6 sea turtles - one swam up from the bottom right next to me and his head popped up to get air then back down to eat more grass on the bottom. It was so cool. This is only the second time we have swam with turtles. After that we saw a stingray on the bottom. Captain Warren brought us lots of beverages for our 4-hour trip, including beers for the husband. He had great stories to tell and was really sociable. I recommend him as your Captain and tour guide as he knows the best spots to go to. We took some pictures and I have added a couple here. One more thing, I suggest this as an activity becaits also very reasonable considering you get catered to the entire time. read more

Captain Rachel and Captain Vale took excellent care of us from making sure we were having the maximum amount of fun while keeping everyone safe! We started the day off snorkeling through coral, schools of fish, and rock formations at what they made feel like our own personal cay! Then came the white sand beach of St John (only accessible by boat btw!) that was everything you want regarding crystal clear waters, a perfect beach, and not overly crowded! All of this plus a giant patch of sea grass here made it the perfect spot for us to snorkel with star fish and sea turtles, even some baby turtles! Our third stop, and lunch stop, was the Lovango Resort and Beach Club on Lovango Cay and let me tell you, that was a hit as well! A beautiful spot, not too crowded, with beautiful sand bar area to sit, eat (mushroom truffle pizza!!!!) drink (painkiller... extra killer) and relax with bathrooms, AC, and gift shops in case you need any of it! All of this to round off with some good music and sailing back to St Thomas to end the perfect day of vacation! Couldn't have done it without Captain Rachel and Captain Vale! Couldn't recommend this crew more if you're here for a good time! read more

We went to St. Thomas on a Disney Cruise on March 8, 2023. Someone recommended Seas the Day Charter for a private catamaran. It was easy to book on Seas the Day website. I booked about 4 months in advance and chose the 4 hour trip aboard Pisces. With a party of 8, the price was pretty equivalent to an excursion packed with other people. The meeting spot was just a 5 minute walk from ship. Captain Ann Marie and Tatianna made the trip so much fun! Our party was 4 adults and 4 boys ages 7-11. My family and I went out for a private whole day sailing with Captain Pogan and Shane. We begun with a stop for snorkeling following lunch on Water Island. ( very good food). We got into heavy rain after the lunch but still happy with positive vibes. We ended up on a private beach and the sun showed up. We cruised back in slow speed back to harbor. 9am to 5pm of very nice and relaxing day on the sea. The crew were very friendly and helpful. Plenty Soft drinks and beers were served onboard. He was accommodating and somehow heard us talking about wanting water while we were swimming and was on it. It was a beautiful day and it was definitely THE thing to do while you are in St. Thomas. My wife and I went out today with a group of strangers. They were all very nice and we enjoyed our time. They crew knew the spots to see some reefs, fish, and some awesome turtle sightings. My wife loves snorkeling and seeing wildlife. I thought I wasn't a fan of snorkeling because the last three times I have snorkeled, I would get a little water in my mask and eventually up my nose. Alisha (not sure if the spelling) told me my facial hair was causing the issue and gave me some pointers to get the water out. I will start by saying we have chartered with them 3 times, all with Capt Bryan who is amazing. My one star review comes from our most recent transaction with them. I messaged on November 23rd that we would be on island on the 30th thru the 6th and wanted to charter with them on the 2nd. In that message I also put we would see them in a month. That statement would lead me to believe we were arriving in a month so December 30th and the trip should be Jan 2nd. Unfortunately like most of us when I got the confirmation message and email and didn't pay much attention to them other then my payment cleared so we were good. Saturday Dec 2nd my phone rings as I am sleeping late at my house in Boston and it's my Capt telling me today its my boat day. I started to laugh thinking he was messing with me. He was serious, they booked our charter on the right day but wrong month. The Capt tried to see what management wanted to do about the mistake. They solution was no refund of my 1200 dollars but they could give me 15 percent of another full day charter if I booked with them in the next ten days. This was a clear mistake and not a no show. This mistake should be shared by both parties. My timeline of seeing them in a month was not noticed by them and i didnt notice the fact they booked me for December 2nd. I have reached out by email several times and left several phone messages and have gotten no reply. Hoping this message gets to someone that will reach out and have a realistic solution and not a discount t if I spend another 1000 dollars with them. Make sure you check your confirmation dates as they have no tolerance for any that can make an honest mistake. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH SEAS THE DAY!!! My wife and I planned a day around a snorkel charter with Seas The Day. We arrived at the beach with our booking information in hand. A dingy brought us out to the catamaran and as we stepped on the boat the captain questioned if we had the right day. I shared our booking information and confirmed we were supposed to be on this charter. Due to capacity issues the captain had to take us into shore. We booked this charter around a month in advance. After our arrangements were made, they booked a 12 person wedding party. The boat legally could only handle 12 passengers and because we were a group of 2 we were left behind. Sitting on the beach as the boat sailed away we decided to call the owner to see if there was another boat we could get on. The owner took no responsibility for the mistake and blamed it on TriAdvisor/Viator. He claimed they never received the money or booking details from Viator so he had no obligation to reimburse us. The owner was extremely rude which brought my wife to tears. When i returned home I contacted Viator's customer service and they confirmed the owner did receive the booking information and payment. They are filing a reimbursement claim that is currently in process. Here is the cherry on top: When I got back to the dock I was approached by the dock manager. She was on the phone with the US Coast Guard. They started asking questions about how many people were on the boat, what the captain told us, etc. It turns out this company (Seas The Day) was under investigation and had already been cited 5 times for overbooking their charters. The coast guard had a person watching their operation and taking pictures from the beach. A company that has this history/reputation with the Coast Guard is not a company you want to do business with. It appears they have a history of breaking rules and cutting corners for profit at the expense of their passenger's safety. read more
