Everyone has always been so loving and welcoming. Most importantly teaching comes from the Bible. Our new Pastor is Pastor Matt and he is truly a blessing to our church. I love his style of preaching, because he makes sure to follow the Bible's teachings, but also because of his awesome sense of humor and the way he teaches everything so it makes sense. You can honestly see the heart he has for the Lord. He never pretends to be something he is not. They have childcare and Sunday school for kids, which my children absolutely love! They get to learn about Jesus in a fun and simple way. Tonight was worship night and it was amazing! Our worship team was fantastic! From the moment I walked into Roar, I felt the Holy Spirit -- and I knew this was where I was meant to be. My very first Sunday was Father's Day 2019. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, worship was powerful, and the message hit deep. It wasn't surface-level or sugar-coated. It was real. Challenging. And exactly what I needed. The overall vibe is casual but intense in the best way. We worship HARD -- loud music, lights, hands raised. If you've never been to church before, you might think "what is happening?" at first -- but you'll also feel the love immediately, from the parking lot on. This church believes the Bible from start to finish, no cherry-picking, and does everything with excellence while remembering where we came from. Professional musicians, yes -- but the focus is always inviting the Holy Spirit, not attendance or production. That's what matters most. Practical notes: there's no dress code, parking is organized with attendants, service length depends on the move of the Holy Spirit (if you know, you know), kids' ministry is available and taken very seriously for safety, youth meets separately, and while there's a café, food and drinks aren't allowed in the sanctuary (water is okay). This church is not for people looking for perfection, a quick 3-point message, or a "country club" church. The pastor began the service by making fun of the drummer and mocking him for being so short. The general feeling was that we are all going to hell. I have never been told so many times that I am going to hell in the span of over 2 plus hours. Not just "we" are going to hell but "you" are going to hell. And we are going there because we don't tithe enough. . We left that place feeling like we had been beat down for 2 hours. I felt no fruits of the spirit anywhere. I did not feel that this pastor had an anointing. It seemed like he was just there for the money. I got the sense that he preys on lost souls (recovering addicts, ex felons, etc). If you do decide to visit, be sure you put on the full armor of Christ... you're going to need it.

Pastor Jim Johnson teaches straight from the Bible and preaches a conservative Lutheran theology with plenty of room and love for those who would disagree. Everyone is truly welcome here. There are two morning services on Sunday, a more traditional worship experience at 8:30am with hymns, and a more contemporary worship service at 11:00am. What I found was a church that first and foremost emphasizes teaching straight from the Bible and facilitating relationship building. Weekly Bible studies are available, as well as Wednesday night activities for all ages (AWANA, Jr/Sr High School Ministries, and adult studies) including $3 dinners beforehand. Looking back we consider ourselves blessed to have the support and fun times from this church family.

I attended a Latin Mass in the chapel and was greeted with a long sermons regarding SSPX excommunication as of July 2, 2026. Today. The priest who led the Mass was Castro or Cao from Northridge Saint Vitus and was speaking about this schism in the church. His sermon was confusing so I asked for clarification via a call. I got none. Debbie didn't even know or said she didn't know about this current situation. How is a religious organization hiring people who have no patience to take the time to answer questions to the best of her abilities and be educated enough on our current church teachings and current practices to administer to those seeking guidance and understanding of basic principles and practices?!! She instructed me to call him myself to get an answer. I shall do as she instructed and I suggest she do the same because apparently she's as ignorant as I am!!!!

A LOVING COUPLE, AND A GREAT TEAM…read more As we drove into the parking lot on one side were a group of men and women with tattoos and long windblown hair, dressed in boots, jeans, T-shirts, black leather vests, standing next to their Harley's. The other side men and women dressed in uniform; police, sheriff, fire, and paramedics, as well as those who serve our country. Families and loved one's getting out of their cars walked to the entrance, a large-sized landing adorned with a wooden pergola. The lobby was set up with tables and easels filled with pictures, photo albums, and guest books, and elegant flower arrangements. The service was held in a large open space, with a capacity of a thousand people. In the front of the room is a stage with a podium, piano, and projector screen. Lying on the floor, were two backpacks, the packs of Steve and Linda. There is a back covered patio with tables and chairs and a well cared for green space that can be used for picnics or other gatherings. Gone in 15 minutes, the lives of seven individuals, six crew members and a personal friend of Steve and Linda, who were canyoneering in Keyhole Canyon, Zion, UT, were taken by surprise when the worst storm in over 100 years unexpectedly hit the area. The strong ties to the community and well-loved filled every seat, standing room only three feet deep, the room holds well over fifteen hundred people. REST IN PEACE The audio visual used to show their lives from high school sweethearts to a happily married couple could be seen and heard without any issues. Steve and Linda were not only an honest to goodness, loving couple, but also a great team and the service given here was tranquil and heartwarming, they are now hikin' it up in the high heavens with the rest of The Crew members we lost. review 100 on the 100th day of 2016
