Showed 2 profile photos of my previous fades. Asked if I wanted an undercut and I said no. Ended up with a disappointing bad haircut. Parted on the wrong side and still gave an undercut! The side part is not even straight. 10 minutes cut and 30 bucks for a bad haircut with NO fade. Told me I could put some gel in it at home to fix it.

This last time the owner (Martin) of the shop who was cutting my hair messed up and instead of apologizing blamed me. When I first sat down I started to explain what I wanted for my haircut and he interrupted me and said "only the sides right now, we aren't doing the top yet" so I told him what I wanted from the sides as he was getting set up. By the way, during this interaction I was friendly and polite even when interrupted. Once he was done with the sides he just cut my bangs on his own without warning and I said "I wanted to keep my bangs. I've been growing them out." And he poked my chest and said, "I'm not a mind reader. You have to tell me these things. I don't know what you want if you don't tell me. Next time tell me." Had he just apologized, it would still have been disappointing but accidents happen and hair grows back, no big deal. Just own up and don't blame your customers let alone poke them. It was so bizarre to have someone talk down to me like it was my first time getting my hair cut instead of apologizing for not paying attention and messing up my hair (especially when I had already tried to explain what I wanted). I'll be looking for a new spot if anyone has any recs
