Contacted them, talked to new owner, Mike, came out to give a quote the next day. Made arrangements for the team to come out on Saturday, got here promptly on time. We went over the work needed (trees in front, one in back, some neighbor branches over the roof, etc.). The team thinned out all the dead bracken, gave the canopy room to expand. They painted the cuts on all the trees, ours and the neighbors', then got to the cleanup. Did a super job chipping all the branches and bracken (a VERY full truck full of chips & logs), sweeping up after themselves. Great team, great job! We can see the front of the house again! I've seen a lot of trees downed in Austin the past few weeks. I thought we'd made it through the…read moreworst of the thunderstorms and microbursts, but a tiny spat of rain took a huge branch off the hackberry tree in between my and my neighbor's yard. In a certified Sunday miracle, it barely clipped my gutter (which hung on!) and landed square in between our houses, roofs no worse for the wear. I still found myself feeling a bit uneasy with the tree so close though, so reached out on Yelp to Texas Tree Doctors to take a look. Nicholas responded immediately and was able to come out just a couple hours later. Nicholas is a wealth of knowledge and was kind to answer basically every question I had in my free consult. He offered some really practical remediation in the form of a nutrient treatment that would help get the tree healthier and more supple so it'd be less likely to break in the future. For hardly any extra he offered to haul away the big branch as well. He also ballparked a cost for removing the tree entirely - all quotes seemed really fair. Ultimately, the tree is on the other side of the property line so removal is up to my neighbor, but I appreciate how straightforward it was to get someone with Nicholas's experience to take a look. If we decide to give some love (or destruction) to the tree he'll be the first guy I call.

From the office staff to the tree…read morecutting crew, everyone was very friendly and seemed genuinely invested in making sure our needs were taken care of. Cargil (one of the arborists) came out to look at our Cedar Elm that had split, and he gave us lots of great information as to what probably caused the split and what he recommended. Ultimately, it made the most sense to have it removed, and he gave us a very reasonable price, while explaining exactly what we would be charged for and how the price was determined. I appreciated his expertise and transparency. Since there was a risk of the tree falling and damaging our house, he put a rush on the job and the crew came out the following business day. I watched from the kitchen window as they took it down, and it was impressive! They were so fast, but so precise and careful at the same time. And when they were done, they cleaned everything up and asked if we wanted the mulch that was created from the tree being ground up. The following day, Emily followed up to make sure we were happy with the work, and we certainly were. From start to finish, it was a great customer experience, and they all did a fantastic job.
