UNSANITARY, UNPROFESSIONAL and DECEITFUL - words that best describe the Cambria Hotel, LAX. My stay at this hotel was unacceptable from start to finish, especially given that it was New Year's Eve. I had to be moved FOUR TIMES in the middle of the night, due to the unsanitary and unkept nature of this below par hotel. From the rooms not being properly cleaned, to broken door locks, to the faucet handle being broken, to SNOT smeared on the wall. Basic cleaning standards were clearly not met. The final straw was discovering a BLOOD STAIN on the bed sheets! The manager Kiana B. is an incredibly deceitful woman. Who instead of reimbursing me for the night when all of these issues occurred, she chose to refund the cheapest night of my stay. Needless to say, I disputed the charge with my credit card company and got EVERY CENT that I was owed back! STAY FAR AWAY from this DUMP of a hotel! read more

I normally stay at a lower end property but felt like splurging with points because it wasn't much more for the Cambria property. I think that I was upgraded to a suite. I had a very spacious corner room. Nice comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. I'll definitely return in the future. read more

CAMBRiA Hotel LAX - Solid staff, convenient location, a few things to know before you book. I stayed at CAMBRiA Hotel LAX for an extended visit, and overall it was a comfortable, smooth experience with standout service from several staff members. My check-in experience was a little rocky at first, with some confusion like there were a few crossed wires early on, which can happen at any hotel. Thankfully, once these were clarified, the rest of my stay went smoothly and staff consistently delivered professional, attentive service. Parking is an open lot (no garage) with plenty of spaces, accessibility spots, and EV charging stations (not sure if it's active--just visible). Parking around the building is free if you're not staying overnight. Overnight parking is extra, but Choice Privilege members get a reduced rate of $15/night. (NOTE: Signup is free so why not, earn some points also for future free stays!) CAMBRiA uses HMR Shuttle Service for LAX runs to the hotel, on the return to LAX is their own shuttle bus. For Airport pickup: Call HMR Shuttle Service at +1 (714) 444-4473 once you land. Pickup is at the upper level (departures), at the Shuttle sign. In several experiences with HMR, the wait times ranged from 20-40 minutes, so build that into your plans. Going To LAX from CAMBRiA: You need to sign up the day before departure, at the front desk for your preferred shuttle time (NOT your flight time!). Recommend: 1.5-2 hours early for domestic, 2.5-3 hours for international. For those who have VERY EARLY flights (between 3:30-5:30 AM) are not free -- $15/adult, $10/child. Rooms were clean and comfortable. For those staying longer than three days, they offer light housekeep after your third night stay - which you need to request at Front Desk. NOTE: The ADA Accessible King Tower Room is surprisingly far from the elevators--it's a long walk. The Standard King Tower Rooms are much closer. Soundproofing is decent, but you may hear guests above you walking or (if unlucky) running. Coffee setup depends on the room type, the Tower Rooms = Keurig, Standard rooms = traditional coffee maker. Both come stocked with the basics. Breakfast Buffet is $22 and includes coffee/juice. Tip is additional. À la carte offers similar items but the drinks cost extra, so price ends up almost the same. À la carte is easier to take to-go, though they do allow you to take your buffet to-go to your room if you like. I wasn't automatically given receipts for my meal, so I just took photos for my own records. (HUGE Shoutout to Stephanie in dining--kind, efficient, and made mornings smoother!) With exception to the first days of hiccups, the Front Desk service was consistently great--Daryl deserves mention for being patient, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The GM handled a concern from earlier on, a month prior to my check-in, communicating clearly, and following through the entire length of my stay. Truly professional, steady, and responsive--exactly what you hope for from management. Overall, CAMBRiA Hotel LAX is a solid, comfortable airport hotel with genuinely good staff and a lot of conveniences if you know what to expect ahead of time. I would not recommend this one. The front desk reps both lack customer service skills. Also, upon checking in, the room was nasty (the floors weren't cleaned, and there were stains in places). When you request additional towels (of course, if the room is nasty, you'd want to place towels on the bathroom floor), they have an issue. The rooms also have a nasty odor, and overall, with so many hotels in the area, I would advise against this one. Don't let the lobby mislead you. When you get to the rooms, stains on the bed and towels (we received a towel with a red stain), the walls need a fresh paint job and overall, the customer service from Kiana and Jane (at the front desk) was subpar. read more

Easy check-in after a long night. A clean scent greeted us upon arriving in the hotel room. A lot of space for two people, at least for me. The bed and the pillows were really comfy and clean. I loved the lighting; hot shower; and that you can connect your music via the mirror (Bluetooth available). Parking was no hassle but you'd have to pay via a QR Code; may be an inconvenience to some. Only downside was no hand towels were provided (but I was too tired to ask) and more detailed cleaning in the shower could be done. read more

This hotel is really close to the LAX airport, it's very modern very clean and very inexpensive. Check-in can be a little challenging because a lot of airline crew use this particular hotel. But the front desk does their best to keep you informed. read more

I often stay in El Segundo when I'm visiting W LA. I have stayed at the cambria a few times. My first time back in 2019, the place seemed new and well maintained, the service was good, and all went well. Same for the inebriated times. On my recent visit, the A/C in my room was broken when I arrived. One of the elevators was out of service almost the entire time, causing fellow patrons to gripe about it. And the entire place was overrun on voting day, because apparently this hotel was a polling place. To top it off, they charged my card for parking despite confirming on check in that I had prepaid parking. Best to avoid at this point. read more

Disappointing Stay - Needs Maintenance I stayed at the Cambrian LAX Hotel recently and unfortunately my experience was pretty underwhelming. Overall I'd give it a C rating mainly because the property seems to be in serious need of maintenance. The biggest issue was the bathroom shower, which had visible mold growing along the edges. That's a basic cleanliness issue that really shouldn't be overlooked. The floor tiles in the bathroom were also broken and uneven, which made the space feel poorly maintained. The bed was another problem. It was extremely worn out to the point where you could feel the box springs through the mattress, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. The location near LAX is convenient, which is probably the main reason people stay here, but the condition of the room made the stay less enjoyable than it should have been. With some proper upkeep, mattress replacements, and attention to cleanliness, this hotel could be a decent airport option. Right now, though, it feels like the property is overdue for repairs and upgrades. read more

We immediately knew something was up, she walks back out MINUTES later to tell us the room we reserved was overbooked and given to someone else. I guess it was my fault for not checking the reviews before booking but oh my this has to be the worst hotel experience in my entire life. I booked a 2‑night stay through Expedia at this sorry excuse of a hotel and arrived late at night with family and an exhausted baby after driving from the Bay Area. The front desk agent, Miguel, claimed the system was down and repeatedly told us to wait. After 20+ minutes, when I asked for help checking in, Miguel became hostile and told us to find another hotel. When I tried to reason with him, he escalated the situation by calling the police. Once officers arrived, I learned the hotel had actually overbooked and given our room away. Miguel refused to issue a refund, saying it had to be handled through Expedia. I was lucky enough to find another hotel (Sonesta LAX) which Is a way better hotel anyway. So anyone trying to stay at this hotel in the future please be advised this might be your experience. So learn from my mistake and try to avoid this property and their unprofessional behavior and mishandling of reservations. read more

On 11/3/25 I checked in for business purposes. Nice hotel however the man in front desk "Daryl" was extremely rude & unprofessional. He made my check in experience horrible. Put a 200 deposit hold and didn't bother telling me until I asked what is that for! This man did not bother saying a word almost as if I was bothering him to check me in. Unacceptable and really sad to get this treatment at such establishment. Even gave me the wrong room as to what I booked. Went back down and he didn't apologize instead assigned another room as if nothing happened. I asked if he was ok because he didn't greet me nor thank me and was just nasty! Then in a very sarcastic tone said I'm great have a great one! This is who represents your hotel? He is giving you all a bad reputation. I will not be going back to this location. Oh and no body wash! Very important. Check out no one was there! I waited and waited and no one was present. Stayed here for a few days and really enjoyed it. Rooms were very clean and modern. Lobby is a great place to work and the hanger bar is solid. Front desk was incredibly nice and helpful. My flight got in really early and they were able to get me an early check in with no issues so I could rest up a bit before having to go to some meetings later that day. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Cambria; November 29 - December 1. Celebrating our wedding anniversary. What brought us to the El Segundo area? Well, since the invitation for 2 from Pepperdine's Graziadio Business School Alumni Network my wife accepted, for a free night of 3 hours at Topgolf fell on the day after our anniversary. We decided to make the area a staycation. I initially booked a standard king room for 2 nights, but after entering the hotel lobby and receiving a warm greeting from font desk supervisor Monrea. Very personable. She asked if it was our first time At Cambria and what was the occasion? Which I gave the response of celebrating our wedding anniversary. I then took the spur of the moment opportunity to enquire about a free upgrade. But Monrea was quick to respond with "we're going to take care of you." "Ask and ye shall receive"! We parked our car and headed back inside toward the elevator, and our room; Monrea wishing my wife and I a "happy anniversary!" as we passed by her in the lobby. Room 512 on the 5th floor was our upper tier upgrade from a standard king to the 500 sq ft tower suite. That added a considerable amount of space, as well a microwave for us. But not what one would call luxurious. We were quite pleased though. Cambria has its pros and cons; clean spaces at only 5 years in existence, and very friendly staff all around, with excellent free Wi-Fi. And just blocks away from Topgolf are just a few of the pros. While some cons would be a bit noisy with thin walls and loud guests. As well as not providing free breakfast or free parking in a rather isolated spot surrounded by parking structures and a smelly refinery nearby; though odors were never an issue once you stepped inside. They just came in and never finished the job. I couldn't get the housekeepers back in and I had to lug four towels up to my room!! Our two night stay was great! Loved the Bluetooth mirror especially. Also loved the easy and fast check in/out. No complaints other than the free shuttle from the airport. The driver was super rude and impatient and yelled at me over the phone. Not sure if this was a 3rd party company, but just take an Uber or Lyft. read more

Very nice hotel. Clean and modern rooms with plenty of amenities. Parking is easy, albeit getting into the lot is challenging with all the construction around. Service could be a little friendlier and attentive upon guests entering. Lobby bar is open and serving so that's a plus. Price point was very competitive with the other airport locales, even if it's a good ways from LAX. There are nice fast food dining options (In N Out, Chipotle, El Pollo Loco etc) within walking distance as well as a grocery store. Overall, would stay again and I recommend. read more

On April 10, 2025, myself and a party of five motorcyclist arrived at our hotel which we had prepaid six months in advance with our reservation number after having called on the same day to advise the hotel that we would be arriving at 8:30 PM and we're told that our reservation had been canceled or given to someone else because of an overbooking issue that they had. Worst service possible we were told that we were going to have our monies reimbursed as soon as possible up to 48 hours, we will see if that even happens in all my years of traveling never have I arrived at a hotel which I had a reservation number and a pre-payment for six months and then been told that we have to go elsewhereBuyer. The reason for earning two stars is the hotel lobby is nice, good bar and restaurant, nice gym and patio. The staff is very friendly. The reason for low rating is room cleanliness. The linens seamed clean but the rest of the room was not, it was obvious that the desk and countertops hadn't been wiped down in a few stays. They were filthy. A gentle brush of my hand over them cleaned crap off of it. There is parking on site which is nice, but it's $25 a night. It's a cheap decent spot to stay close to the airport. This hotel is so convenient for parking a car when flying out at LAX. They offer rides through Lyft to and from the airport as well. The rooms are really clean and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Their decor is fun with cute signs and pillows. They also have a restaurant available to eat at and a bar to order drinks from. It's a good choice! read more

Just came home from staying there. I am an attorney who will be needing a hotel once a month for several months due to case. I have tried 3 area hotels thus far and chose this one because of the "8+" rating. Not a bad hotel. Modern, clean and near LAX; however, I will not be returning. I found the staff to be rude, and short. This attitude presented itself from the moment we walked in at checkout. Then, asking for their suggestions for area restaurants, they could not be bothered and simply said "we don't know any". The only time I was greeted with a smile, was upon check-out. Hotel has some gimmicky features like for example the bathroom mirror has built in Bluetooth speakers that can play music from your phone. Also the TV remote has a QWERTY keyboard on the back which you can use to type letters on the TV. Also internet TV is available! My only dislikes here is the $150 room deposit required at check in! Also No microwave in the rooms! The bed in the room was saggy and I got back pains after sleeping on it for a few hours. The bathroom sink had a crack and the table top next to the fridge had stains and was also chipped. The refrigerator was leaking and did Not chill my drinks. Finally the rooms are small! Have stayed at this location on three separate occasions. Location is good and front desk staff is attentive. There are a few minor issues I've dealt with staying here, cup marks on countertops, rust in showers, shower water dial getting stuck on cold, felt like it was going to break if I pushed harder. All those issues I had over looked, BUT the true constant disappointment was the afternoon weekend bartender. Every time I have stayed he has been rude, doesn't greet you, rolls his eyes and seems to be upset if you ask about anything related to his job such as beers on tap. We went down to get some food right before closing, hoping to get a last minute order in. The signs posted said they closed at 10pm, we arrived maybe 10 til and were told we could not make an order, although he was taking an order as we arrived to the bar. When this was brought up to him he rolled his eyes sighed then said he would see. He came back and angrily said he could take an order. At this point we were not interested in making an order. I later asked him if it was something I did for him to treat me poorly every visit, he put down a cup he was holding, walked up to the edge of the bar getting closer to me, with both arms to his sides and puffing his chest out and said if I had an issue I should've complained earlier. He kept repeating that over and over and raising his voice, I too then raised my voice, at this point the front desk night manager came over and said he would take my complaint in and annotate it. Worth noting that I went to the bar that morning just before closing and asked for a coffee because they were 2 minutes from closing, the young lady served me my coffee and told me that they were shutting down the restaurant but would gladly put in an order if needed. I told her she was kind to offer but was on my way out. Unfortunately Won't stay here again, location is good, front desk staff amazing! Just this rude man ruining three good trips. read more

Be Aware. Arrived at the airport at 9:45pm called for a shuttle waited 45 minutes, gave up took a taxi to the hotel. The shuttle system is flawed and needs improvement. A tired traveler should not have to wait 45 minutes and then walk a half a mile to the taxi stand. Either provide a reliable shuttle or have people taxi to the hotel. read more

Great hotel! Very clean and quiet. I totally recommend this hotel. Room is designed to make you feel like home. Only down fall on this hotel is that they charge $18 per car to park and they have a shower that gets water all over the restroom floor due to the glass covering only half the shower. Overall I still thinks its a great hotel and would definitely stay here again. read more

It appears to be a decent establishment. A real no frills place to stay and pay. There is no daily housekeeping, in addition to the cost of daily stay, there's additional junk fees added to your bill and they are not responsible for indifferent behavior taking place in their parking lot, which you also pay for. Definitely not a place for young children. Not recommended what do ever. read more
