An old motel but owners clearly take pride in it. Check in was smooth and the (owner?) very friendly. Every fixture and surface in our room was new- looks nothing like most of the pictures posted! New flooring, tub, bedding, even bathroom door. All very simple and clean, Mattress and pillow were firm and comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave, tv. It looks like the closet used to be the one small rack seen next to the bed in the picture, but for this quick trip didn't need any hangers!

The owner/manager was nice but kinda shady! Our room rate for the Friday night was 89.00 ( good deal) and he let us check in early(11am). When I went to pay he say it will bee 100.00 exactly and he said cash only! I thought that was kinda odd, but no biggie!! As far as the room, it smelled terrible. It was a smoking room. We went to the beach and hoped it would smell better later, but it didnt. Room was very old and you could tell. Cords hanging all over the walls. Bathroom was falling apart. There was a suprise guest of a spider in the shower when we got there! Shower would overflow and water was everywhere! It was about a 15 min walk to the Pier (not 5). I would definitely not stay here again, the redondo beach inn is right next door, around same price and a lot cleaner!! If you don't mind these things, then this place can work for you! Free parking and close to everything!

Hypodermic Needle found in room. Staff said "it's not my needle" and didn't even offer to remove it.

Stay Away! The room smelled of mold and mildew immediately upon walking in. When confronting the staff about the mold (which led to headaches, congestion and nausea), the fleas (showing him the bites on ankles and knees), and a *hypodermic needle* found in the room, the live-on-property staff claimed "it wasn't their needle" and refused to offer any solutions and did not even offer to remove the needle! They then lied about the prices of the room and tried to charge us MORE per night to continue our stay - while also telling us the 1 room without mold was already taken. Throughout this entire stay, the staff was rude and inconsiderate, making hand gestures instead of using common courtesy and professionalism. They claimed to have a rule of "No Guests Allowed" - which is insane for a hotel and they made us both show ID, not just the person who rented the room. **There is NO maid service on staff (yet they charge more than enough to cover a professional maid service so there's no reason not to hire any)!** Additionally, there were stains everywhere, especially on the door, the balcony curtain and the mirror. The table inside the room also had something sticky and gross on the underside. The bathroom is incredibly tiny with nowhere to hang your towel and the shower-head is very weak and small. The water in the shower tub doesn't fully drain, so there is always a small little puddle in there as well. Dogs were barking at night and allowed to run around with no leashes (even though they falsely advertise not allowing dogs on the property). The only vending machine on the property is for show - it doesn't work (great metaphor for the hotel in general, all show with no substance). This hotel does NOT seem to meet Health Department Standards and is absurdly overpriced!

Although it is not the dirtiest hotel it is a little rundown. Owners are nice but seem a little sketchy.

We arrived around 12:00 p.m. to check in and were told our rooms wouldn't be ready until 4:00 p.m. We were assured someone would call us when they were ready, but no one ever did. Not a huge deal. We made the best of it and enjoyed our afternoon. When we finally returned to check in, the front desk couldn't even find my reservation in the system, which only added to the frustration. Before booking, I specifically called the hotel because our priorities were simple: two double beds, a balcony, a water view, and rooms close together for our family. I wanted to confirm this before spending the money. Unfortunately, none of those expectations were met. What was most disappointing was the "Marina View." I'm currently looking out at a parking lot with a small glimpse of the marina in the distance. Calling this a marina view feels very misleading. If you're paying extra expecting to wake up to a beautiful waterfront view, you may be very disappointed. To make matters worse, the manager approached me and said, "I already spoke to you." I had never met her before. It left me wondering if he had confused me with another guest. It's really unfortunate because the hotel itself is beautiful and the interior design is lovely. But great design can't make up for poor communication and disappointing customer service. My advice is to call the hotel directly before booking, ask very specific questions, and write down the name of the person you speak with so there's accountability if the room you receive doesn't match what you were promised. Just sucks to spend all this money and be looking at cars. Also the kayaks are not free. Only the bikes are. That was also false news.

The area has several boating clubs, a few seafood restaurants, hotels and event venues, and some small bars. It is definitely a quiet area that closes up early in the evenings. The hotel itself is really very lovely, though I wouldn't call it fancy. I will start by mentioning a few things that I didn't like. First, it is really too expensive. Likely it was more expensive than usual, as we booked late and they only had suites left. Also, I didn't like that the hotel restaurant and room service stop serving food at 10. Even after the wedding, when several people tried to go to the bar, around 10:30 on a Saturday, they stopped serving drinks. Further, we arrived to check into the hotel around 10PM on Friday night and were informed that all of the restaurants in the area were closing, so we had to drive to the next town over for dinner. I guess the area this hotel is located in is a bit too quiet for my taste. I also didn't like the $49 per night valet parking, with zero self-parking. Now, on a positive note, I enjoyed the welcome drinks, which were two mini strawberry daqueries... they were actually not too sweet and quite stiff. The staff was super friendly. They were always available and tried to be helpful. Whenever we went to the lobby they would give us bottled water. In the restaurant bar, they gave us free coffee and Diet Coke to take to our room. Our room wasn't overly impressive for a suite, but it was still very pretty. I loved having a view right on the harbor walkway. It was nice to walk out of the hotel and be right on the harbor. The balcony was a lovely place to sit with coffee. They also have an outdoor bathtub right on the patio. I love when beach hotels have outdoor tubs and showers. The room was comfortable with plenty of outlets and digital color-changing lighting. It was very clean and modern. All in all, I think the hotel was more expensive than we would choose had it not been for a wedding. However, I really did enjoy my stay. It was a friendly hotel with nice views and a bit of a resort vibe.

I drove my car and had asked about parking right before we arrived. I had called and talked to the front desk manager and asked about a vase for flowers which he didn't have. I asked him if he had this a regular glass there and he said yes. The day before I arrived and because this was booked by my girlfriend's son, I didn't know the sleeping arrangements saying we needed it two beds. I called and got voicemail the day before and someone called me back about a couple hours later. I asked if there were two beds in the room and he said no there's a bed and then there is a fold out sofa. I said oh great I will take the fold out sofa and let my girlfriend take the bed. When I arrived at the hotel with my car, I didn't know where I was parking and it wasn't. The hotel is on the beach, but it's also in a very crowded area. I went in and spoke with the front desk guy. He said his name was Chris. He hurriedly explained how I could get to the parking spot and that was CF because of the instructions he gave me. After finding the parking garage, we did receive help from Chris to unload our luggage. My girlfriend is much older and I didn't allow her to carry anything so it was just me and him. We proceeded into the hotel and after we were in there... Yes, the room seemed nice and a little standard for a boutique. I immediately heard people on the floor right above us walking back-and-forth and there was no way that that was going to work out because she had traveled all the way from Denver for this and we had traveled from North Hollywood down to Hermosa Beach and.just a lot of travel, which made us weary When I asked about getting another room, which I knew it was full because it's pretty small Hotel he said he had put us on the first floor because he thought that we would not be able to climb the stairs to get to the second floor. I told him we're both able, and even though my girlfriend is older she is limber enough to climb stairs. I think he saw the concern on my face that we might leave because we hadn't unpacked anything so he did ask the people who had moved in to the top floor to switch with us. It was nice of them and they said yes we will switch. As we were getting ready for eating our food which we ordered in, I noticed there was only one wine glass and one fork. One spoon. So we managed through it for eating. As we got ready for bed, I unfolded the sofa bed and there was a huge urine stain on the mattress and now I had to find sheets. I could not find them anywhere and called the number to get help. Chris then texted me and said "I've I received many calls from you today. If it is not urgent, you could just text me and ask me. There's no need for you to call me repeatedly" Now he was inferring that I could not call him so to speak. he texted me to let me know where the sheets were. I had called him the day before and talked with him that I would be using that fold out bet. I think it was his job to point out where the sheets were when we moved into the room. I feel that because we were senior citizens we were disregarded! I asked him on text "is this how you treat senior citizens "? And I told him that I am a customer here that has paid for the room already. The next morning, the Keurig coffee maker did not work and there were only two coffee pods for both of us. Not enough I ended up at the market trying to get coffee for both of us. I didn't bother calling him about the coffee maker. I was already just too disgusted with his attitude towards. when we checked out, he was nowhere to be found.

The 3.7 rating or whatever ratings has by the time you view it are lying to you. You'd be better off staying somewhere else. Normally Hilton has some pretty decent places, but I'm ashamed to say this place generally felt very... meh. I'm not making this one star because the receptionist was nice about my reservation, even after having a bit of a hard time finding our reservation (someone else's reservation showed up for us somehow) and found an accessible room for my family and I (elderly individuals in my family).
