I stayed here for two weeks during the spring. I was excited to visit Philly and found a great hotel to stay in. The prices here were surprisingly affordable compared to the surrounding area. I was able to check in easily on a Monday. You enter through the ground level but had to go upstairs to the lobby. They have a restaurant and bar available if you are in need of nourishment. The staff guided me through the different offerings at the hotel. There is a snack mart with items for purchase. They offer free coffee in the morning with breakfast for an additional charge of $20. My first week I was on the 12th floor. It is almost like a studio apartment. You have your bed in one side and a table and fridge on the other. The bathroom was very spacious and provided everything I needed. It had great views of the city street. You also are facing directly at the hotel across the street which makes it slightly awkward if you have your blinds open at night. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed having a large table where I could set up my laptop and work easily. There was a microwave and fridge which provided me with storage for my food when needed. The second time I was put on the fourth floor which gave me a side view of the parking lot which was not as exciting. I did not try the food there but I did come down for daily coffee. I didn't want to spend five or six dollars every day going out for coffee. Fortunately, they had free coffee here. It was not the greatest in the world but it had caffeine. That was all I needed before heading out for the day. I did check out Attico Rooftop one night for happy hour. They do have drink and food specials available. During the weekends I assume everything gets crowded with party goers. Both weeks I was there they had weddings occurring. There is a large venue down the street so I assume everyone comes back here after. Overall, this is a great hotel and I will come back again.

I've generally had really good experiences with Cambria hotels, but this one in Downtown Center City was a bit of a let down. At check-in, the credit card swiping machines weren't working at the desk. My family and I had two rooms booked for the night, and the woman checking us in gave my two family members for the first room a room that was actually already assigned to people. They got upstairs, held their card up to the door, and ended up walking in on a mother + daughter who were already in the room. Definitely not a great way to start a stay! The rooms themselves were off-putting. Glass in/around the bathroom didn't seem cleaned well, the bedding was dirty (turned down the comforter and almost seemed like someone had been in the bed with their sneakers on and it hadn't been cleaned/the bedding hadn't been changed), and I moved some pillows on the lounge furniture in the room only to find they were covering a really large stain... so that was pretty gross. For the cost of the room - and the $70+ valet(!) for the single overnight - I expected a lot more. Staff weren't especially helpful or pleasant (legit acted like they didn't really want to be bothered). Only ended up in this hotel because a friend of my mother's stayed in it recently and had good things to say - so my family and I decided to try it too. I've stayed in much better hotels in Philly though - and in much better locations. This wouldn't be a place I would recommend.

Hey friends! I discovered this hotel on my travel agency site and it came highly recommended. Here's some of the pros and cons of Cambria Hotel: Pros: Beautiful views from rooms on the 15th floor Friendly Staff Rooftop Restaurant attached to the hotel 24/7 Mini Mart in the lobby with snacks and toiletries for purchase Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom Service dog friendly Walking distance from many attractions, restaurants, bars and Reading Terminal Cons: -No onsite parking. Parking is at your own expense. Valet, street or garage parking. I'll definitely would return for a stay at this hotel. Enjoy your stay

Location is ok but the room and common areas were dirty. Not family friendly/safe feeling.

Unfortunately, this place fell extremely short. The staff were unprofessional, making advances at me multiple times throughout my stay. The sheets in my room were dirty and stained. The toilet ran all night long. My calls and inquiries for new bedding and maintenance went unanswered. I was forced to lay towels down on the bed due to the dirty bedding. Management (Steven Tyson) only reached out to me after I completed the online survey and even that was a hollow apology. I was not offered a refund or any other form of compensation. Terrible service. There are plenty of better hotels in the area.

We stayed here as a friends wedding was around the corner at The Lucy. The hotel itself is very nice and well decorated. I also really like the vibe of it. They have beautiful staircase that leads to the lobby. The lobby itself has a gorgeous fireplace and comfortable seating. The rooms are comfortable and big. The bed was also very comfortable. I was disappointed by 2 things in this hotel: The staff/service & the cleanliness. Staff/Service: Everyone always looked annoyed in general. I only dealt with the staff while checking in. We were the only ones there and she was checking her phone and barely acknowledged us. She also just looked annoyed that she even had to help us and I didn't understand the behavior especially for what we're paying. We also weren't making any demands, we were simply just checking in so it made no sense. The hotel did not have our room type ready so they did at least comp us and let us check out late, 1pm. The issue, no one communicates and someone walked into our room without even knocking at 11:30 in the morning the day of check out. This is definitely not something I expect at any hotel. Cleanliness: Our bedroom was fairly clean, no issues. However, our bathroom had hair on the shower walls and even when we had housekeeping come again, the hair was STILL there. When we sat in the lobby, the carpet was stained and there was some trash on the drum tables. We got to the lobby pretty early in the morning so it couldn't even have been previous people sitting there who created the mess. Location: It's pretty central to many things and public transport is right outside the hotel so that makes getting around without a car easy. Parking: Overnight parking at the hotel is very expensive. There is a garage across the street that's $10 cheaper and around the corner there is a garage that's $20 cheaper. Both garages were so close I definitely think it's not necessary to park at the hotel. If you found this helpful follow us on Instagram: @TheShahLALand

I'm going to be perfectly honest when I say I'm over hotels no longer offering housekeeping. If you're not going to clean my room then at least have the decency to have it be presentable for when I check in. The Cambria misses the mark on so many levels. There's a questionable spot by the bed on the floor that I'm hoping is not someone's bodily fluids. There's a hole in the bath towel. There's a stain on the headboard. There's a stain in the toilet. You get the idea. The location is great but that's about where it ends. My husband and I stayed here for the Philly half weekend and although the lobby is nice the rooms are seriously lacking upkeep. Did I mention the spotty Wi-Fi? I expect better from a hotel if this price range. Oh, and the coin laundry is $5.75 to wash. No change available at the front desk. The front desk staff was super helpful and directed me to a coin laundry.

The hotel lobby is on the second floor, there was a long queue for check in due to understaffing issues. Got in to a icy cold room and had to turn the heat up. Attempted to hop in the shower but the shampoo and the bath soap was none existent. The housekeeper did not restock the soaps. I also had problems getting the sink to drain, the toilet seat wasn't positioned right and was lopsided. I also believe the staff did not put clean towels since there were so many stains on most of them. They did not change the bed sheets either because there were multiple strands of different colored hair on the sheets when I pulled off the cover. Overall the cleanliness of the hotel is 1/10, the wait to get checked in is 2/10, and the amenities here are 2/10. It's a great location to be in the city but I wouldn't really recommend staying here. I also stayed on a weekend, there's a club bar upstairs near the top floor and I can hear the music blaring outside my room.

We enjoyed two nights at Cambria hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They let us check in early and they held our bags for us after checking out. They gave us recommendations for things and places to go to in the area. Good location right in the middle of center city, with a beautiful view of the town hall.

We stayed 1 night, passing through, to see the sites. There is a beautiful view of the city hall at the end of the street. We pulled up and had to go inside to get a valet. ($66 per night, btw.) Gathering our things, a gentleman asked if we were checking in, showed us to the automatic, rotating door, and brought us to the lobby on the 2nd floor to check in. There seemed to be some chaos at the desk. The person checking us in was helping the next person before finishing with the first. She also did this when we checked out. She would tell the person she was helping to wait and then take the next person. Its didn't make sense and came off as rude. She didnt tell us we had to scan our room card on the elevator. Thankfully, a kind employee on the 3rd floor (we couldn't get above the 3rd floor) told us to scan our card. Finally getting to our room, it was clean and cool. A king bed which was pretty comfy, a bench along a window, and a desk/kitchen area. Everything we needed. The view wasn't great, but we didnt expect much. The bathroom had bluetooth speakers for the shower. The shower, however, did not have a door or curtain. There was half a glass wall. It seemed enough, but upon showering, half the bathroom got soaked. Towels had to be left along the opening of the shower. The hotel is located close to the theaters and plenty of restaurants. Only about a half mile walk to Magic Gardens and Independence Hall. There is an awful stench around the street outside. We thought maybe its was just the construction around the corner, but it seemed to be everywhere we went! Its was quiet enough. There is a restaurant on the lobby level. There is also a rooftop bar, whoch must also be a nightclub on the weekends. Friday night there was a line and bouncer at one elevator, checking IDs. Upon checkout, texting the valet for our car did not work. When we left we had to wait a bit for our car. The valets were very helpful, otherwise.

The decor speaks specifically to Philly icons -- Will Smith, Meek Mill, The Roots, Jilly from Philly (Jill Scott), etc. Whoever was the interior decorator did a great job with honoring those icons and the hip hop scene. The restaurant inside the hotel was great too. I don't have any complaints besides the steep valet prices. I will visit again.

There's no Diamond Lounge here, which is totally fine -- the property makes up for it with thoughtful touches, great service, and a fantastic location that puts you right in the heart of the city. We were a party of 4 in two separate cars: one party paid for parking in advance as a 'ticket and parking' package. The other did not. We arrived about 11:30 am for a Sat matinee. Lot was rather full, but more, the spaces were very narrow, which seems to be the case more often. There are only two elevators, and they also are exceedingly small, holding 5-6 adults max-which is an issue when the shows end and everyone is queued up to leave. Our biggest issue was discovering that the prepaid parking expired at 4 pm. Since we were staying for a post ballet dinner, we asked and were told that we would simply need to pay for the 1 hour difference. If only it had been simple; but no. Besides the fact that the booth attendant had a friend inside chatting to the point that we needed to honk to get attended, the attendant had no idea what to do with a prepaid ticket holder who was attempting to leave past the allotted time. Their default was charge us $30 (the rate charged the car without the prepay), making it $30 for one hour. We declined to pay that as that was not the posted hourly rate...and had to sit for more than 15 min and only due to the exceedingly long trail of cars queued behind us did the attendant finally charge the posted hourly rate and allowed us to leave.
