I absolutely love staying at The Bellevue hotel. From its stunning aesthetics to the excellent service and unbeatable location, it has yet to disappoint me. The rooms are always up to standard, comfortable and inviting, making it hard to leave. And, let's not forget the incredible Sporting Club. My stay included access to the facility, and I highly recommend taking full advantage. It's truly unlike any other, featuring a state of the art gym, lap and plunge pools, saunas, a basketball court, and fitness classes like pilates, yoga and boxing. There are also spaces to sit, relax or get some work done while enjoying something from their cafe. You can also request a complimentary tour of the facility. The location is another huge highlight. You're within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and even the Reading Terminal Market. Parking is available for $50 overnight, which adds extra convenience. If you have the funds to splurge, it is absolutely worth booking. Every stay feels like an experience.

This review is based on a walk-through of the hotel as well as input from my colleagues who stayed the night. Although I did not stay, I was impressed by the architecture and abundance of natural light in this 110-year-old property is an architectural gem. Multi million dollar renovations in public spaces and function rooms.

Valet service hardly acknowledged us when we arrived & we had to inform them that we wanted to do overnight parking. After our 2 night stay, the car was waiting for us but we again had to flag someone down for our key & got no help with any of our luggage or doors. Front desk agent at check in was bored & didn't make us feel very welcomed for our first time here. We brought our dog since this is a pet friendly property & we didn't get any amenities for him which I thought was odd for a luxury property. We stayed in a corner one bedroom suite on the 1st floor and the room was very spacious and furnished beautifully. I loved the high ceilings, but unfortunately the location was very noisy. You can hear the train right below, and it vibrated the entire room so this occurred every hour in addition to the noise of the street traffic. The bathroom is very spacious, but the hot water didn't get very hot & it had run out completely on our first night. The shower is right next to the tub which looks like a nice touch but there is only a half wall separating the bathing areas from the rest of the bathroom. It got drafty and the floor got all wet every time we showered. The living room was my favorite area since it was spacious enough to have friends come by to watch the game, but I was surprised the mini bar wasn't stocked with anything other than 2 waters, Nespresso pods & tea bags. The common areas were grand and you can see the historic charm, but I also thought the overflow wedding tables outside the elevator on the first floor were tacky. I didn't get a chance to see the courtyard or utilize the sporting club since we were visiting with friends, but they look nice in pictures. We did utilize in room dining once, and would skip this if you're used to it being served on a tray with regular plates and silverware because it was given to us DoorDash style in a paper bag with plastic containers & cutlery. There was also an egg shell in my eggs benedict.

Booked a room at the Bellevue in December 2024 in anticipation of the Philadelphia Eagles going to the Super Bowl. Well clearly my instinct was accurate. Fast forward to the day of Super Bowl LIX, and we checked in to our room at the Bellevue. Immediately, I was awe of the hotel's interior architecture. The historical charm makes the hotel have a unique feel. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The room included a king size bed, mini bar, table with chairs, closet space and an updated bathroom, but still felt like it was original to the building's history. The highlight to my stay was being surrounded by Eagles fans in and outside of the hotel. The staff also embraced the excitement of the evening. It's a hotel that's worth checking out.

First the good - LOVE the actual building. I'm a big fan of staying in older dwellings and feeling the history as you walk through and imagining the decades that have passed. Really enjoyed the architecture and overall history. Now, the bad - everything else. I stayed here under AMEX FHR and it didn't pass the vibe check. If my room was an upgrade, I'd hate to see what the assigned one was. However, it was spacious and clean. Parking was $50, which was not an issue given the close proximity of the self-parking garage (I despise valet). Fairly good deal for parking in Philadelphia. For being a FHR property, the staff acted as if they were manning the desk of a Super 8. Cold, non-welcoming and seemed bothered they had to deal with guests. I ate at the restaurant on the top floor to use my credit, and it was passable but a mess. One person doing it all (she did a great job, but was obviously flustered!). Also, avoid the "cheesesteak empanada" unless you have a five year old with you. Beer selection - eh. Not impressed. The local brew they had was one of the trash ones. I'd NEVER pay to eat there and only did to utilize the credit. That being said, I didn't have breakfast there because of how poorly staffed and run the dinner service was. Worst part overall was charging the resort fee and not telling me until I checked in that I'd have no electricity overnight for repairs. Unacceptable. Do things happen? Of course, but this should have been disclosed at the time of booking OR via email prior to check in. Location was great, with history all around and the Reading Terminal a short walk away. If you're getting a good deal through Hyatt, maybe you should stay here. Under FHR? No, and you should avoid it altogether and they should probably be removed from the program.

The Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia was a great experience. It is a first class hotel with great amenities. We went to different bars in the area, and saw Simple Minds at the Mann. We only stayed one night but I'd like to stay longer next time to enjoy the pool & spa.

Historic gem n the center of it all. It's going through major renovations with a restaurant, spa, and new shops coming soon. But as is it's just jaw dropping luxury. Beds so comfortable. May only complete the $42 breakfast buffet where the food and service failed to match the price. But as Hyatt elite it was included so even this was ok. We will come back to see the finished project.

BEWARE of THE BELLLEVUE PA Please beware of the The Bellevue in PA. Hotel is amazing if you like historical properties. (Truly not my niche) but was upgraded to a suite and breakfast was decent. PARKING =DISASTER Valet parking is comped on FNA or points but if you self park there is a fee and it will not be comped. I stayed at the property only because I had a FNA and to check off a property. Unfortunately, Valet crashed my Porsche into a wall.... **** Update the third did fix the bumper of my car but NOT ANY ORHER DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER MIRROR*****THEY would NOT provide the video of what took place in the parking garage. After several months Porsche was able to retrieve the videos from my car cameras. BEWARE OF VALET PARKING!!!! They will ruin your cars. I will upload the video of Valet parking and what my car went through in there garage.

The room is spacious enough for two people and has a modern decor. The decor throughout the hotel, however, is like an ode to hip hop culture. If you know me, I love sneakers, hip hop and everything that is the culture! The decor speaks specifically to Philly icons -- Will Smith, Meek Mill, The Roots, Jilly from Philly (Jill Scott), etc. Whoever was the interior decorator did a great job with honoring those icons and the hip hop scene. The restaurant inside the hotel was great too. I don't have any complaints besides the steep valet prices. I will visit again.

To be fair, there was a pending snow storm over the weekend, so reservations were few, and it's 17 degrees outside. The first observations weren't good. The bedspread appeared not to have been washed, the sink leaked water and, worst of all, the room was cold. REALLY COLD, maybe 55 degrees. (I don't carry a thermometer.) We did advise the front desk of the issues, and they did attend to the bedding, but were unable to increase the temperature. (Note: We did ask other guests about this. Some said their room was "fine" temperature-wise, and others said their room was "hot.") The breakfast offered to all guests is basic: bagels, English muffins, hard-boiled eggs, juice, tea, and fresh fruit. Their coffee was delicious and an attendant was on top of the breakfast bar at all times. We thought the front desk and custodian did their best, considering the challenges. Nevertheless, the rooms weren't up to past standards. We're disappointed with our recent visit and hope standards improve.
