I used them before they merged and got computerized - then they were fine, but now THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!! I couldn't get a human to answer the phone, then when I reserved online a week in advance because the taxi was to take me to a medical early-morning procedure, the "status" of my booking was "driver to be assigned later." Half an hour before the pickup time the status changed to "searching for available taxi." That status never changed, and no taxi ever showed. In desperation, I called a bunch of local taxi companies where humans answered, and one of them sent over a taxi right away and got me there on time. Web said 35 to airport from Harvard square. Driver said 45. I double checked his response and mentioned the website. He pointed out the window and said the rate was 45. No idea what he was pointing at. Other than that he was friendly, on time, and got me to the airport. He used the old timey paper credit card carbon copy receipt machine. He didn't even write the price on the receipt and I had to write it in. That was very suspicious. The guy on the phone was very abrupt when I was arranging the cab. read more

I cannot say enough terrible things about this business. I am irate. They were the first business I searched for on google, and well, how hard can it be to get a ride from central square to Logan airport? I booked a cab for 4:45 today. Not only did they not end up coming for the reservation, as I realized when I called them at 4:52 am, the guy nonchalantly was all, "Oh, I'll send someone now. Five minutes." I called again at 5:02, 5:10 and 5:17, each time assuring me they were five minutes away. Another company sent a cab after seeing me on the curb for 35 minutes, worried about missing my flight. I'll be honest; I checked Yelp and originally tried to book with Cabbie's Cab but they were unavailable so, despite terrible reviews, I used this company. I booked a cab through their website at 8:30pm the night before for a 5am ride from my Harvard dorm to Boston Logan. I got a confirmation email immediately and a phone call within an hour, after which I paid for my trip on their site via Paypal, $40+tip. The person I spoke to was a little rude and impatient and difficult to understand but I tolerated it. The next morning, the cab arrived 15 minutes early and called to let me know I could leave whenever I was ready. It turned out I was ready, so we left immediately and I ended up getting to the airport at 5am, the time I had expected to leave my dorm. The taxi was clean and comfortable, and the drive was smooth and uneventful, though there's no traffic at 5am so anything less would've been worrisome. The driver made a few attempts at conversation and was friendly enough. Nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, I was satisfied with the service and grateful that I could have peace of mind that morning, having already paid and being able to get to the airport earlier than if I had tried to wait for the T to start running at 5:15am. So you want to travel from Cambridge to the airport? Why not do so in comfort? Their cars are clean, their drivers actually know how to drive, and they charge a flat fee (about $35) as opposed to taking a slightly longer way in order to run up the meter. well, I wouldn't say it was the cleanest or most comfortable but it did the job, -ride to the airport. I called a hour or two ahead to make a reservation and they showed up a few mins early, I was ready anyway so that was fine. The only thing that kind of annoyed me was that he took a really weird way to the airport. Lots of side streets and long-cuts (as apposed to short-cuts). It would have been a straight shot down cambridge, over the bridge and onto 93, easy. He took these back roads through kendall over the longfellow bridge and over. Was it just as fast? maybe. But as a driver I was annoyed. Nothing creepy like the other yelpers though. The flat rate is good too. read more

Driver was 15 minutes late even though there was no traffic and a pickup was scheduled in advance. The credit card machine was also broken.

I work for a company in Cambridge that requires me to get a lot of cabs for elderly. I have called and worked with a few different companies and this place has been so great. I saw that the bad reviews and had to leave my two cents. Every time I call, they are so polite and helpful and are always so accurate when they give a time frame. Not only that, they are more than willing to get out of the car and help the elderly people. I have nothing but positive things to say about them and I will only be using them when I need cab services. read more

I called around 7:00 in the evening to request a cab to the airport at 3:30 am. Around 3:40, when no cab had yet arrived, I called back, but it went straight to voice mail. The other number on their site rang and rang then went to voice mail. (Which is understandable if it's a dispatcher, since it was the middle of the night, but I'm pretty sure when I called the first time he said he would be the one coming, so I think it was the driver's cell.) At no point in the next half hour until I managed to get a cab from another company to pick me up did this cab show up, did he call me to explain why he was late or at a different address or something, or did my calls ever get through. I left an "um, where are you?" voice mail and never got an apologetic call back (or any call back, for that matter) either. I'm heartily disappointed. If the purpose of your company is to take people places when other forms of transportation aren't an option, you simply can't just not show up. I guess I'll never book a flight at any time before the T is running ever again, since standing in my street at 4 am waiting for a cab that never shows and feeling entirely helpless is not my idea of fun. read more

This is not a review of a cab ride. I didn't even have to set foot in a Cambridge Cab to hate them. Cab number 93 cut me off at an intersection. The driver actually slowed down to swear and make obscene gestures, and then SPIT ON MY CAR. Not only will I never use this service, I will be filing an official complaint, telling everyone I know on facebook and twitter, and doing voodoo to ensure the driver's slow descent into hell. I filled out the reservation form more than 12 hours in advance for a cab the next morning (12 hours minimum), but I received no response. I texted this morning with no response. I finally called, and the guy said that they could pick me up but then immediately called back saying that no, they can't pick me up at that time and to call Somerville cab. Terrible! I called at 8:45 this morning to have a cab for my boss here at the office by 10:15. They never showed up. When I called at 10:22, the guy who answers the phone seemed annoyed that I was calling to check in and mumbled "they are on the way." In the meantime, my boss got fed up with standing outside in the nor'easter we're having right now and ran over to the Marriott to grab a cab there instead. I called back to cancel and asked what happened. Mumbles told me "nothing happened. The guy was on his way." NOT GOOD ENOUGH Cambridge Cab! You made me look like a jerk by not showing up for my boss, so I just sent an email out to everyone in my 275 person office letting them know to NEVER to use Cambridge Cab. We don't do business with unrealiable, undependable companies who have no acountability for their screw ups. read more

I called cambridge cab at 6:25.....they said 10-15 min. At 6:50, while waiting outside, I called back. They said a cab was on the way. 7:10, I call again. I speak to a supervisor who tells me that a cab was sent out 30 min ago. 7:25 rolls around, I flag a cab from another company. I HATE YOU CAMBRIDGE CAB! read more

I just called to reserve a cab for a trip to the airport in the morning. The person that answered the phone was so incredibly rude, that I did not even finish the reservation. He was yelling at me when I did not give my address fast enough. Take chill cab or yellow/green cab if you're in Cambridge. These guys are terrible. read more

Don't waste your time. I made a reservation and they never called back prior to pick up. When I called the first number, they hung up on me and the second number was out of service. After waiting an additional 20 minutes after the pickup time, a friend then drove me to the airport. read more

The only thing I have to say this cab driver was the rudest person ever that is the second time I use them and that would be the last time I called and he told me 15 minutes until he pick me up and he was late half an hour and what he told me with attitude that there was a traffic but I wanted to say is they are The rudest people and I don't recommend anybody to use them read more

I had an absolutely awful experience. Yesterday, which has been the coldest day of the year in New England since 5 years ago, I called in plenty of advance to have a cab pick me up from home to take me to work, as I had fragile baked goods that wouldn't survive the bus/train. 10 minutes after they said they'd be there, I finally called and they said, "10 more minutes," and HUNG UP. I had to be at work in 15 minutes, and I knew I'd be late, but at that point I had no choice. 10 minutes later, no one came. I called again, and asked where they were, and the guy played dumb and hung up on me AGAIN and turned his phone off. Never showed up. I called at least ten more times, and it went straight to his voicemail. I was practically frost-bitten, arrived to work an hour late, and nearly got fired. Mind you, I've never been late to work a day in my life because I'm a stickler for punctuality. I'm more than angry at this company, and I wish them nothing more than to go out of business completely. My blood is still boiling. I am telling EVERYbody I know not to use this place, and furthermore, anybody I know who HAS used this company has nothing but bad things to say about it. Now I know why. Never again. read more
