Do not waste your time and money going this school. The financial aid department is very shady. I went to school there over a year ago and they still failed to pay me. The short, five months that I was there they had two different deans. The secretary, one day just quit and they do not know how to keep staff because while I was there, we went through so many different teachers because they kept quitting! I do not recommend this school to my worst enemy. It's a waste of time and effort and money. Don't waste your time with this school. Many of who have graduated are finding out from other healthcare professionals that Medical Assistants aren't wanted and are told by LVN'S and RN'S that that it would have been much better to get a CNA, LVN, etc...instead. If the over grown teenage snap chap queen is the same "teacher" I am thinking about, she does/did do nothing but start drama, talk crap about other students/teachers, and encourage others to do the same. She's so unprofessional. I wouldn't be surprised if she is no longer there. When I was there, there were also a couple of students who started drama over petty problems. I love this school. Admissions and higher up is AMAZING but there are one or two down sides. There are two reasons for me giving the review I did and here is why: #1: The over grown teenage snap chat queen posing as a teacher. While I was in her classes the most useful thing I learned how to do was stab other people in the back as well talk shit about patients/staff/students/my bosses and not get into trouble. Honestly, if people ranker were a thing. I would give her half a star. I know if she sees this and figures out who I am, I am gonna get a nasty letter with horrible grammar. #2: The students fresh out of high school. Some of them are great and when they are great, they are 100% AMAZE-BALLS. Then, you get the girls who are only there because it is "cheap and looks easy." people who have no passion for it other than the money. Cambridge is a great school for me. Some people would say that it's bad but for me, it was an awesome school filled with memories.Great staff, always smiles when you walk in. I remember I called Betty, and she was the sweetest lady I have ever talked with. I went to the school the next day, took my test, met with Betty and Marina from financial aid, and start my course right there and then. I was scared of course because I have to take loans and no one wants to take a loan, but I knew that I will learn something from there than community college. I am a visual learner and I feel more comfortable with small classes and hands on. My class was pretty small and I like that. Whenever you or a classmate is stuck on a question, we help each other, explain the questions and even asked the professor for help. I get to practice EHR, Keyboarding, touch basis on Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and so much more. I was surprise that I learned something and was able to apply what I learn to my current job. Career Service has helped me a lot too. I wanted to do my externship in UC Davis, but I guess the contract between UC Davis and Cambridge was expired and we didn't have enough time to renew because I was already ending my last course at Cambridge. Charlotte put me with a Dental Office that is hiring but I wasn't learning anything so she switched me to Pediatric. I loved it there. The staff was so kind, we got along really quick, I learn so much within a week. I had to take 1 week off for my grandpa's funeral, and I had to work twice as hard than before. Always at the clinic 9am-6pm all week. BUT! Hard work pays off, the manager came in and offer me a part-time/ on-call position and I took it. A lot of people would say that they never got a job after finishing Cambridge or cambridge promise that they will have jobs for students, but most of the time, it's you who have to find the job. They will help you find one if you call and ask for help. There's only one career director who is doing that and there are a lot of students going out for externship and she has find a place for them too. When you finish your externship, you basically have to look for a job on your own, but they'll help you find one if you need help. Overall this school is the best, I learn so many things from Wanda, many memories. I recommend this school to whoever wants to start their career in the medical field. Just remember to ask all the questions, talked to the staff and teacher when you need help. read more

Enrolling into Cambridge has been one of my greatest decisions. When it was time for a carrier change, the staff there was so supportive and became like family to me. I made some life-long friends and support system with my classmates. I would absolutely recommend Cambridge if you are wanting a jump start to a carrier. read more

I regret coming to this school. I had to find jobs on my own No leads generated by them lead nowhere. I feel their was not enough hands on training, they mainly focused on driving you crazy with non stop testing. I am a previous student and have been calling the school since September (8 months!) And everytime I call I'm told no one can answer my question and they will leave a message for Miss Rachel and she will get back to me. I've been calling for 8 months and can not seem to get one return phone call. After spending well over $10,000 on this school you would would think they could atleast return one of your phone calls. But nope, once they have your money and you are gone they could care less about you. read more

I loved my experience at this school. The teachers were amazing, however, there are only a few ways to get a job out of school... 1) pray your extern site is hiring, 2) be a man, 3) be a veteran and 4) be of "diverse" background. The school won't help you any other way. 4.0? 100% attendance? Great attitude? Willing to help people who struggle? Don't fit into any of those four categories? Good luck because they don't care. But if you fit into one or more of them they will bend over backwards trying to help you. My extern site was hiring. Unfortunately they have awful benefits and I have a small child so I feel like I went to school to do better and not only am I still struggling but now I'm $10,000 in debt. I have hired many graduates from Cambridge and they are very knowledgeable in their career field and ready to jump into their new career when they graduate. Cambridge is very good at working closely with employers in the community and have developed great working relationships. They always make sure its the right fit when placing their externs. I often communicate with Charlotte and Rachel and in my experience with them their number one goal is to get all their graduates into a good job as soon as they graduate. They are constantly checking to see what positions are available. Dan, Tanya, and the Cambridge staff are very involved in the community and care deeply about all their students and their futures. read more

Honestly as a business they are great. Note I said "business". The instructors and most of the staff are wonderful. The financial portion of the school is ran poorly and unethically. I know of many individuals that where mislead during the financial area and are paying for it dearly now. It is not legal (or okay) to trick someone into signing a loan or forging financial documents. I know that both of these things where done by this school. One individual was even fired over the situation, yet the students (or their families) involved are still suffering. My best advice is to find a larger or better rated school OR stay on top of your finances even when they say it is taken care of. Do not forge documents so there are more loans (or parent plus loans) and do not sign any loan documents for their personal loan company. Even if they say you will not be able to attend any other school. My biggest regret is not walking when they messed up my financial aid and loans. read more

Let me help you and everyone else save LOTS OF TIME AND MONEY!! I went to Cambridge for my A.S. degree in Business Admin with an emphasis in Accounting. Where do I begin? Pros The people at Cambridge Junior College were great. My classmates were good and MOST teachers were great to. I liked that they worked with my schedule and the homework wasn't awful. The campus wasn't too big were you got lost or had to fight over classes. CONS I came in to this school not knowing about schools and their accreditation. If YOU PLAN ON EVER MOVING ON IN YOUR LIFE you shouldn't go here. I left with an A.S. degree but NO SCHOOL ANYWHERE accepts my credits. Therefore I have to take ALL THE CLASSES all over again. There is regionally accredited schools and nationally accredited school. CAMBRIDGE IS ONLY NATIONALLY ACCREDITED. Therefore I can't move on to a 4 year college because NO WHERE will take my credits, not even University of Phoenix, which I was promised would take Cambridge credit. Cambridge later came in to our class and had everyone sign a form saying that we wouldn't sue Cambridge if we weren't able to go to University of Phoenix. Stupidly, I signed this paper not knowing THE REAL ISSUE. We were told that it just so happened that once WE graduated was the time our contract ended with University of Phoenix but soon they will resign with Cambridge. THIS HAS YET TO HAPPEN and I have been out since 2012. I asked Cambridge if they were accredited and of course they answered yes. Know your accreditation people. NOW I AM STUCK PAYING $20,000 with the worst interest ever and not able to move on. I prayed and hope that maybe one day this will change. I do have a degree that no one will be able to take from me (hopefully) but honestly if you ever want to make REAL money you need a degree higher then an A.S./ A.A. which I planned on doing my whole life. Cambrigde is a waste of time and money. They are like heald. They just want your money. I didnt really learn anything because all they do is tests every week. They dont even talk about hardly anything on the tests during the week. I would find out they teach you the wrong things. They are not prepare for a lot of their classes. They are not up to date with alot of supplies. If I would have look more into this school, I would not have went to this school. It is pointless. Hardly anyone gets a job from coming to this school. Erika, I am a former student as well. I totally agree with you all the way. Thats the problem I had when i was in school. Had tooo many pot heads, they would get away with cheating on exams, and come in and go whenever they wanted. The school needs to have zero tolerrance what so ever.Because of them, anyone that will come from Cambridge will be seen as a joke. But they can not even keep up with it themselves. I loved teacher Daisey, but shes too laid back, needs to get tougher skin. Some girls would go out in lunch break and come back high as fuck an hour later. Many would smoke and the room would stink soo bad, it was terrible, had headaches from it. I dont know why they let girls repeat the mods millions of times, like really, u expect her to graduate and make all the other hard workers look like shit because of one person, like no thanks. They make Cambridge sound hella good and better than one-stop but its the same!!!!no differences what so ever. The entrance exam needs to get harder, those questions they ask even my lil 10 year old brother will figure it out, thats why cambridge lets any dumb ass in, eventhough they dont know shit, dont want a sorry as looser, pot head as my mediacl assistant or my childrens. When I visited the school is was impressed with the atmosphere and enthusiasm of the staff and students. The halls seems to have good energy and I was able to see classes in session when I was touring the building. The rep was informative and sincere, but not pushy. I have known many people who have attended who have said great things about their education and have gone on to have careers they enjoy. I would have rated Cambridge higher but the building on the outside could better fit the profile of a college. read more

This School was NOT worth the money!!!!! If I could give it negative stars I would! Apparently if you were raised by a single parent that makes less than $45,000 a year you don't qualify for any government assistance. Not only that, but I was told I had "plenty of time to pay back the school" Which was a complete lie. What the do is rope you in, get you to start making payments (I owed the school $10,000) after the " Government Loans" and then was told after I graduated if I didn't pay the entire $10,000 that it was going to debt collectors. I had to rush around and get a bank loan to pay the school off. I'm still in debt because of this school and its been 2 years! Oh and heres a kicker, I was told that they didnt send out the grant applications on time so the school had to apply a second time for grants and still got denied. Even though it was THEIR FAULT FOR NOT TURNING IT IN!!! Also we went through 3 teachers in my first 3 months. Total BS. Only one of them actually knew what they were doing and by the end of the year I was the one helping everyone in the classroom. Thankfully I already took some medical classes at Sac City.
