Since…read moremost Loma Rica and Browns Valley were evacuated, there were lots of us with no place to go to wait and see what was happening with the fire. The Yuba/sutter fairgrounds was great for us as well as our dog. We were offered food, drinks, snacks, and a cot for snoozing if we wanted. We were kept informed on the fire. It was perfect. Kids were happy, adults were all comfortable. What a blessing the Red Cross is during such a stressful time.

The teacher Ron is easy to talk to and he really cares that you understand what he is teaching. He teaches you the main things you need to know and he's not boring.
