The current employment director doesn't care for their students' schedules or their health. It's like they have tunnel vision. I told the employment director I that could not attend the career fairs for personal health reasons. All the employment director told me is "Let's see if we can find an alternative." Shame on you, employment director! The current employment director needs to be let go (or be fired) and be replaced with someone who actually cares for people's health and their schedules! When I asked them to not go to confirm with them, they said "the goal is to come for 10 mins. We can stand by the entrance and at the 10 min mark I'll check in." Shame you on you! Plus, we do the exact same things with the employment director every Wednesday. It is so boring and so repetitive. I hope the employment director gets fired (or to be let go) for choosing not to excuse me from the career fair over people's health.

The staff are hit or miss in terms of what help you need or career decision on what you want to be when you grow up and can help you with what classes you need so you don't waste time taking classes you don't need. Pros: -Still somewhat cheaper to earn your Associate in (fill in blank) to complete your General Education as opposed to paying a higher rate in a UC/CSU to earn your Bachelor's Degree. -They now offer hybrid classes where you can do some classes online or if you prefer taking classes in person since COVID-19. -Plenty of parking and some shaded parking thanks to the Solar Panels. -Still is in a great location, near to Costco if you want to grab cheap meals but you have to be a paying Costco Member that is if you are going to Yuba College at the Marysville/Linda location and not the one in North-Yuba City next to hwy 99. Cons -Purchasing parking passes can only be done online and is good for that specific car. No more transferring the parking tags to a different car let's say if your car break down or if you have siblings having different work schedule and now you have two buy more passes as opposed to 1 parking tag for that semester. LAME! Greedy much! -The college cafeteria is subpar meh! Pro tip: If you want to save money on parking, I suggest hypermiling. Bring a Bike, park your car at Costco/Walmart, and bike to Yuba College. It's good exercise. Although, I highly avoid taking night classes if you opt to bike as the whole general neighborhood isn't safe at night. Pretty sketchy AF yo. But is doable during the day. We, the parents should be told in advance ALL fees related to the training we choose for this school. I obviously had to pay it or my son won't graduate with the required licenses but it's really unfair that the school doesn't warn parents about extras the 3rd parties companies they contract with may charge.
