I don't live here and so glad I do not. I stayed here in the complex for 12 days to dog sit for a friend. The floors and walls are so paper thin you can hear every move neighbors make. The neighbors upstairs are rude and stomp around like a couple of lard asses which they are. ( I saw them) Roaches in the bath tub I killed on 2 different days. Mold on the ceiling in my friends bath. Told him he needed to have that fixed. Health hazard. The lawns and pool area seem to be decent. I am so spoiled I guess living in an Olympus Property in Dallas. read more

This place has questionable pricing practice. The front office and maintenance staff are great, but the renewal process is stacked against current tenants. I've lived here for 3 years and to extend my lease, I would have to pay about $300/month more than new residents. This is when there are 4 other empty units of my same floor plan. To get fair, market pricing, I would have to move to one of those units. Why do they treat people like this? And in this market environment with so many new apartment complexes and tech workers leaving? I just ended my second 15 month lease here and I only moved because I bought a home. The office staff has always been friendly and helpful on the rare occasion that I needed them - it's wonderful to live somewhere where you rarely need assistance because things are run so well. The maintenance staff is fantastic. Again, rarely needed but fast to respond and super friendly while fixing what little needed to be fixed. My building was towards the rear of the complex and never had an issue with parking for me or my guests. Loved my soaking tub and ample closet space. Never a pest problem and I lived on the first floor. Also loved Valet Trash - totally worth the fee to have trash picked up from my door. read more

There's constant trash issues with residents putting out their trash outside of valet pick up hours and days and leaving their trash leaking into the corridors. There's package theft and even when you have a Ring camera there's some residents here who use jammers to "try" to not get recorded if they pass your apartment. (I've never experienced this mess before..) And if you decide to live here, def get a garage because people just hit your car for no reason even though there's enough space in a spot. Then there's been recently a lot of alcohol bottles left in parking lots and actual crack/meth pipes on lawns (not an exaggeration). I just can't even believe it because I actually relocated from a true big metropolitan area and I never had so much misc. drama. You definitely have to keep a close eye on where your dog is sniffing to make sure he doesn't get into any drug paraphernalia (again completely not an exaggeration). It's too much "extra" for the $$$ and living location of NW Austin. read more

The amount of landscaping done before 8 AM at this place is insane. In the spring it was literally every single day, there's not even that much work to be done. My boyfriend and I have lived at Camden since March 2017 and we have loved it! First, the staff is very friendly and understanding. They all seem nice but we've mainly dealt with Maria and Alek and both of them are very professional and friendly. Their response time is very fast whenever we've had any questions or concerns. The property is very beautiful with two clubhouses, two pools and two gyms. The gyms aren't as big as you'd think but they still do the trick. The pools and grill area are really nice as well and we love the layout of the pool and lounge area. The courtyard is very peaceful and everyone here is so nice and I love that Camden is pet friendly. Our one bedroom unit has all renovated appliances and is pretty spacious for it being a one bedroom apartment. The only thing that I do not like about the unit is no hardwood floors. Since living here we've had a handful of things that needed to be fixed such as our A/C 5x, our fridge, our toilet, and our dryer but maintenance was FAST at making sure things got fixed or replaced in a timely manner. Angel in maintenance is awesome! The only thing I wish Camden had would be a dog park with them being so friendly and also lockers for packages or for the front office to hold your packages. The package situation around here is iffy. If you order something online to be delivered you take the risk of it not being delivered to your door and instead someone else gets your package. This has happened to a lot of residents including myself that never got their package even though it said it was delivered. I've also had my package delivered to building 9 when I live in building 11. I know it's more so Amazon or whomever the carrier is that delivers the packages to the wrong units but since this has been such a notorious issue I wish Camden would consider lockers or holding packages especially since this is considered a luxury apartment. The best thing about this place is it's BUG FREE! In two years we've only ever seen ants here and there and that's it. Huge plus since I hate bugs especially cockroaches. There's far more good than there is bad about this place so I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a great community to live in. I was going to move for work purposes so I had already put in my 60 day notice here but it didn't pan out so to stay and resign this late of a notice would unfortunately be too much for us so although my boyfriend and I are sad to go, we'll be moving on to something more affordable for us. We lived at Camden for over 4 years. Maintenance requests were filled, staff were kind and friendly,occasional food trucks would come to the complex. We even lived at Camden during the snow storm and were taken care of exceptionally well. They made sure to take care of the residents best as possible and even financially supported hundreds of residents through their relief fund. Because of the storm our washer and dryer needed repairs, I was able to use another apartment to catch up on laundry before the staff would deliver new ones. Anytime I had any questions, the staff took care of us and made living at Camden very pleasant. We moved out of Camden to grow our family and we needed a bigger space. I have been here since July and absolutely love it!! From the moment I came to tour the apartments I've received such great service! First apartment I've lived where literally everyone on staff is extremely helpful and friendly at all times. Stephanie helped me get settled with my lease and move in stuff and any time I ever need help Gina in the office has always gone above and beyond. The property is amazing and always clean which I love. I was nervous that the parking would be tough but I've never had to park to far away from my complex. My apartment is so up to date with features and just feels like "Home" I know I'll already want to renew my lease here when it ends. I love that we get valet trash and cable/internet wrapped up into the total cost of rent! I was pressured into making an appointment to tour the property on a Tuesday instead of Thursday (which would have been a better time for me), because of 'the high desirability of units.' I rush to the property after work, fighting our wonderful Austin traffic (lol) to arrive for my scheduled appointment Jarri had arranged for "after 5pm." If I would have known that the property does not give tours after 5:15pm, I probably would not have rushed out of my way after a long day, to arrive at a property in which no one would help me. I guess the appropriate time to mention your touring hours, Jarri - which, at this point I must say, honestly seem a little arbitrary considering I was told one thing by corporate (who answered when a call placed to your office during business hours, was not answered) - and another thing by you, would have been BEFORE I was bullied into coming out of my way to view the property on an inconvenient day for me, not after. I get that you and your staff want to leave early for the holiday, but backing out on a commitment that YOU pushed for, doesn't bode well for what I can only imagine would be continued obnoxious service down the line. Poor communication and a flaky approach. I'm not impressed. read more

Goodness where do I even begin. So this is my 3rd Camden location and I was expecting similar results. I was wrong. It's been 2 weeks and all this has happened: -A/C started leaking everywhere (that was fixed promptly) -Microwave barely works. The numbers 1-7 on the microwave don't work. So you have to keep clicking "add 30 seconds." Told them right when we moved in and it's been 2 weeks. Told them again. Let's see how long this takes -freezer door makes an insanely loud sound when you open it. 2 weeks and hasn't been fixed. Told them again. -garbage disposal started leaking -kitchen sink started shooting water everywhere so I can't wash dishes. -the oven buttons seemed to have popped off on the corner. Absolutely stunned at this Camden location. Think verrrrry hard if you want to move here. My apartment could be the anamoly but this is getting a bit ridiculous. Can't wait to leave. Oops stuck till October of 2018. Quick update Ok there must be a positive? Zach in maintenance is amazing and came through and fixed a lot of the stuff. I have lived here for four years and have never been happier. The people who work here have always gone above and beyond to help me when I needed it. Just this afternoon I had a car full of heavy boxes I needed help moving to my apartment. It was a little after 5p. First I looked for someone from maintenance, but they were already gone. Next I called the office--but it was after 5p--so I wasn't sure if the office had already closed too. To my surprise Emil answered. I explained that I wanted to hire someone to help me, after they were off work. Everyone was gone, but Emil said, "I'll come help you." And he did. I tried to pay him for his time and trouble yet he refused the $20. I am once again grateful for this great community. read more

Both are very rude, act like having to do their job is a major inconvenience to them and are virtually useless. I have had multiple issues with where they have lied to me about certain bills and "fees" only to have the corporate office reach out, say they were incorrect and refund me. I have had the absolute best experience here at Camden Amber Oaks, and I haven't even lived here for two months yet! Move in was an absolute breeze. I can't believe how easy they made everything. Moving into my last complex, where I was for two years, was a pain in my butt. Moving out proves to be even more difficult, as I'm currently dealing with the office there and collections for an incorrect move out statement from over a month ago when I moved in January... The community here is so much different than I'm used to as well! Everything is always clean and quiet, I never hear neighbor noise from inside the apartment nor outside. Everyone is so friendly, including Ms. Gina Cox, who helped us from the beginning. She was kind enough to let us know when she would be out of office if we needed anything, whereas my last move in process I felt like I saw a different face every step of the way. Not the case here! I love living here so much and it's felt like home since day one. I've actually attached photos of what we came home to on our first day-- Ms. Gina said that she was sad that they didn't really have anything for cats upon move in (but they have treats and stuff for dogs!! Isn't that so cute?!) so she bought us some wet food HERSELF so our kitties could have a treat when they settled in. I've never had service like that before! I can't wait to see how the rest of my time here turns out! read more

Here is an absolutely realistic review with pros and cons of the "old" side - phase I: Pros: Office staff - I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Great bunch of ladies that are always kind and helpful (and don't forget about you once you sign a lease) Good size kitchen and updated stainless appliances Nice selection of floor plans Valet trash - you literally set the can outside of your door 5 days a week for pickup. No trips to the dumpster. They aren't the most reliable; however. There have been times when they just hadn't shown up and residents weren't aware. Kind of annoying to have to keep stinky trash around a bit longer. Spacious bathrooms with a good size walk in closet inside. Garden tub too. With my floor plan, the bathroom has another entrance separated from the bedroom, which is nice for guests. W/d included. A very basic set. It doesn't have a gentle cycle, etc... So it literally is hot, warm, or cold with a white and color setting only. It will beat up some of your clothes, but it is better than no washer and dryer. Flexible lease terms and the ability to complete an entire lease online. No need to sit for an hour filling out a lease in a leasing office or making an appointment. You can also reserve your apartment online too. The ability to pay rent online. Good amount of storage. Cons: Location - Tucked away a bit, which is nice. But man. It is a pain in the tuccus to get to 183. It's located between Anderson mill and 620 off of Parmer. It takes about 15-20 min on average just to make it to 183 and Anderson mill in the morning. And don't even think about driving 5 miles down Parmer in the morning to get to mopac. That's a cluster. Location is honestly the second worst part of this place. My fault, though. Your friends will say "you live sooooo far away" and you do. Parking - Absolutely, positively, the worst part about this place. If your building is located near the front entrance gate, you better be home before 7pm on any night if you don't feel like parking 4-5 buildings away. No joke. Just look at how full the lot is midday. All residents are supposed to have a Camden sticker in the windshield, and I can tell you that maybe 1 in 3 do. They need assigned parking and guest parking. Some cars are parked in the same spot for weeks. I'd highly recommend a garage, no matter the cost. However, the spaces can accommodate an SUV quite nicely. So that's your one positive. Design flaws - Doors rub and bump into each other. The bathroom door bumps the closet door and takes paint off the door. The laundry doors rub against the bathroom door. It's just messy. Noise - I understand it is an apartment, but I've never heard so much noise from a person below me. I'm on the top floor. I swear, she must weigh 800 lbs or be King Kong. And to the neighbor across the hall - your dog barks nonstop when you are at work. Drafty windows and gaps in doors - You can feel the cold and hot air just seep in. Inaccurate thermostats - When it is 25 degrees outside and my heat is not on (because I forgot to turn it on the night before :( - dumb Johnny) and I wake up freezing (I'm actually quite hot blooded), I can tell you it is not 73 degrees inside. Mail - Lots of issues not receiving mail. They have never had a consistent mail person, so lots of my mail and packages have been returned as undeliverable. Even with my name tag inside my mail box. A pain in the ass at the holidays. And for whatever reason, they sometimes don't read the apartment number before placing it in the mailbox. Resident portal - Annoying daily messages and emails. You'll want to unsubscribe the day after. Trust me. Small bedroom - I don't think I could fit my king size bed in there. If I did, I don't think I could accommodate anything else. Mine is in the living room :) No yard for pets - If you want an apartment with a first floor yard, try IMT Anderson Mill. Very comparable in price and a good size yard for fido. Having to pay a cleaning fee for moving out - I'm going to assume that when I move out at the end of the month that I won't be charged for not cleaning, because literally I will be moving my things out and turning in my key. So that's the skinny. It's not my favorite apartment by far, but not the worst either. I still think for the price, amenities, and location/proximity, check Riata first. You'll certainly make it to the arboretum/downtown in half the time. read more

I lived at Camden AO for 3 years. I had less than a week to find a place to live and move all of my stuff from East Texas to Austin. To top it off, I was working off a limited budget. Camden was close enough to my work and the price was right enough. The pros: - Management is extremely responsive. Anytime I had an issue or needed a repair, I knew I wouldn't have to wait longer than 24 hours to have the issue resolved. For emergencies, they would fix the issue within an hour. - Valet trash - Hallelujah! I got so spoiled with this service that since moving away, I expect a magical fairy to collect my trash each evening. - This is one of those few apartment complexes that includes a washer and dryer in the apartments. I have a complex with cleaning my skivvies in front of other people, so this suited my reserved side very well. - The apartment itself was nice. I lived in Phase 1 so I didn't get the fancy granite countertops like Phase 2 residents, but the appliances were stainless steel, the carpet was spotless, and the apartment was nice for the price. The cons: - No storage. I rented a 900 sq. foot apartment and though I had a large clothes closet, that's all I had for storage besides the small storage closet on the patio. I have a lot of stuff, which probably says more about me than the apartment complex, but I would have liked a coat closet and a few more kitchen cabinets to help accommodate my needs. - Bad design - seriously, there was not a day that passed where the closet door wasn't bumping into the bathroom door. The day I moved in I discovered this issue when the closet door banged into the bathroom door and left a huge scratch. That's coming out of the security deposit. - Location - so I definitely made a mistake with renting the first place I found and renting based on "close enough." I worked off 183 and N. Lamar and with the morning traffic, that commute (which is really only 15 minutes) took about an hour. If you're not in one of the tech offices off of Parmer and have to commute elsewhere, then I advise you check another place. - Lots of pet waste. Owners are supposed to pick up after their pets, but I was constantly stepping in dog poo. The staff would respond to this by threatening rent increases on non-compliant residents and sending passive aggressive posts to the community board, but it never improved. - Appliance issues - I had the same recurring issues with the appliances - the drier knob would fall off and the garbage disposal would break. It was inevitable that these problems would happen every 3-4 months. I don't exactly put my appliances through a lot of rigor so it was weird as to why that would always happen. This place is awesome. I've lived in a lot different apartment complexes, and this place is definitely the best one so far. I live with my wife in a 2 Bed 1 Bath on the top floor. At least for me, I got my rent for roughly $810 / mo, which includes cable with HBO. I also got a garage for $80 / mo to put all my crap. We live on the top floor, so I don't know if there are noise issues from people walking around above you, but it is really quiet. We paid at most $90 / mo for electric, which included AC during the hot summer months. Currently, our electric bill hovers around $40 or less. The water bill is also about $40 a month. This complex is almost brand spanking new. We are actually the first tenants in our unit. The kitchen appliances are stainless steel and look nice. The counter tops also look pretty good considering they are not granite. The bathroom vanities are awesome and the tub is HUGE. The units come with a W/D, which is nice. I'm not the biggest fan of our W/D, but it beats going to the coin-op. The staff here is great and responsive. Maintenance is prompt and the staff at the leasing office are always very friendly. This place is run by Camden, which apparently has been voted as one of the top 100 companies to work for. You may ask what the big deal is, but let me tell you, happy employees make for a good environment for the renters. If you're interested in this place, I'm sure you'll come visit to check it out and take in all the other details I left out. All things considered, this place is a really great value. read more

Gina is the worst and unethical leasing agent in the office. When I moved in, she told me that all the appliances were new and would work without any issues. She also told me that the apartment is full maintained and repaired after the last tenant moves out. This was a LIE. Every single appliance, AC Unit, Bath Tub Fixtures had to be replaced as they were so old. The door to the patio was so old and so "stuck" they decided to wait until I moved out to repair it. (Yes! This is true!) These are old units with old and LOTS and LOTS of repairs to make. She also told me that there would be no issues with noises and neighbors. You know, she has access to a lot of neighbors if SHE DOES NOT like you. One bad word about you - - Watch Out & Beware. She also made many rude and condescending comments to me while I was in the leasing office. I told her girlfriend-boss in the leasing office and you know what she told me!!, "She is a long term employee here." Instead of Gina getting into trouble, it was the Property Manager who got into trouble for her unethical and terrible leadership skills. I had to take my complaint to the VP of Apartments to get her to stop. Don't move here. read more

The complex is great overall but I have one big complaint: The paper-thin walls! The good stuff: * Great, responsive staff. Always do the job well and in a professional manner * The pool and club house are really nice and well-kept * We always find parking near our building, even on crowded days * Good location. Very close to restaurants, corporate complexes, and a plethora of grocery stores. Good area for people who prefer the suburbs to downtown. The bad: * Walls are super thin and you will hear every footstep from your upstairs neighbors. If they have a dog or young kids, it becomes super frustrating. More on this below. * Dog poop all over the campus from dog owners who inexplicably believe it is not their job to pick up after their dogs. It has ruined an otherwise good landscaping job Make sure to ask if your upstairs neighbors have a dog or any kids! Through no fault of your neighbors, it will sound like thunder every time they walk/run around or use their washer due to the ceiling and walls shaking and making noise. We've lived at 2 different apartments at Phase 1 of Camden Amber Oaks and at both apartments we heard every footstep of our upstairs neighbors. It is very frustrating when watching TV or trying to sleep at night and all you hear is foot steps thumping every few seconds. We called the office but unfortunately they could not do anything. Unfortunately this isn't anybody's fault but the people who designed these apartments. HUGE oversight! It will be the only reason we don't end up staying here past our lease. read more

It is far from it. * supposed to be a gated community, but most times the gates are broken. * paper thin walls and ceilings. I lived with the constant bang bang bang all hours of the day and night from the upstairs neighbor. I made ONE complaint about it after tolerating it for almost the entire length of my lease, and when time to renew I requested a 2 bedroom first floor apartment / several were listed on their website. I was told they didn't feel comfortable moving me to another first floor unit. wow!!! So needless to say I went elsewhere. * the air breaks with a hard rain. Happened many times over the summer last year. *** parking is absolutely ridiculous. Never can get a spot even remotely close to the apartment. Most cars do not have the 'required' parking tag and take up multiple spots. Surely these should be towed at owners expense. *** dog crap everywhere. And supposedly have breed restrictions and a leash rule but neither of those are followed. You're yelled at by tenants that don't have their dog on leash and you say something. Big pit bulls that charge you while owner walking them. I do believe that was a no-no on lease I signed. *** trash - in recent months people that moved in obviously don't have to abide by the trash rules, and it's making this complex definitely not on the luxury end. We lived here from December 2012-February 2013. While that might not be enough time to give a really thorough review, I will say we were extremely disappointed to have to leave (my husband got a new job in Cali...). Our apartment was spacious and quiet. Our kitchen was HUGE, with new appliances and awesome lighting. The closet in the bedroom was also incredibly spacious - plenty of room for everything we have. I also loved the bathtub! The location is good if you prefer to not be in a crowded area that is quieter. If you want to be close to downtown... Probably not the best spot. BUT, they are very close to a train station that can get you downtown very easily during the week. Weekends not so much. Cable & W/D included in rent is a bonus, too. read more

Camden is as good as it get's. I've been living here over two years and can't convince myself to move anywhere else. The staff here are an absolute delight, I have never encountered a more professional, sweet and accommodating group of folks. Candace and Alek have always taken great care of me, respond promptly to emails and tolerate my incessant complaining about market rate rent and noisy neighbors. They go above and beyond the duties of leasing agents and have made my experience with living here way above average. In fact, both times I contemplated moving, it was their willingness to work with me and hospitality that ultimately kept me here. They do a lot for the residents with appreciation days and holiday functions, feels like home! The area itself is beautiful, it's secluded and off the beaten path keeping traffic noise to a minimum. Great location, near Brushy Creek Regional Trails and quick access to 35,45 and 183. The grounds and landscaping are always kept up with, outdoor grills, the pool's are resort style and there's a certain serenity about this property that I have yet to find anywhere else. The gyms are upscale and have new equipment, the club house has flat screens and pool tables and fresh coffee and the business center with plenty of work stations and printers. The new paint job adds another element of classiness to this already upscale property. Stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, vaulted ceilings, plenty of storage, garden tub, beautiful wood cabinetry,large balcony, carpet and hardwood floors, laundry room with full size washer and dryer, moen sinks and showers, huge walk-in closets, security alarms, gated community, high speed internet/wifi/cable/HBO. What more could you ask for? Let's just keep it real, the maintenance team here is the best in Austin. Super responsive, work orders are typically handled in less than 24 hours and the work is thorough, prompt and effective. They're also super nice, comforting when they're in your place while you're at work. My only complaint is the obvious lack if insulation, I can hear anything more than a dull roar from the apartment below. Outside of that, Camden Amber Oaks is hands down the best place I've ever lived. Don't waste your time and energy searching North Austin for a better place, there isn't one. read more

I lived here for almost 5 years. Really no complaints at all. Friendly staff, a nice quiet location, lot of community/resident involvement. I thought the apartments were furnished nicely. Only thing I would complain about was the dog pipes, and I thought the valet waste is a luxury but unnecessary service. I would have rather saved then money. I moved here from Arkansas June 2015. Overall I love my complex. The staff is very friendly and do any maintenance requests within 24 hours. I love my neighbors and I never hear anything thru the wall (hopefully they do not hear me). I don't have a problem with my 30 min drive to work. I love the fact that I have a private entrance to the 2nd floor from the 1st floor. I also love the community events (when I get a chance to go). The only downside is the price. I pay a lot of money for 2bed/2bath and to have a dog... Having no dog park is a real bummer (espec for the price). I don't have any dog poop issues in my area and parking is just fine. I have never parked at another building. You can't use the club house once the leasing office closes (hence I've never been able to use it). The gates sometimes is off the chain and will not close but all in all I like it. I would love to continue my lease however, I know once it's time to renew in 2 months they will increase the price. Which means I will be leaving the community. I'm very sad about that. read more

The gate box is not very intuitive. Even the person I was delivering to wasn't sure how to use it. You have to press Z to go down a list of apt numbers. Then they have hidden doors in building 17, which you will miss if you don't walk in the cubby hole of another visible door number. Strangest thing I've ever seen. I thought it off the customer was so stern in his long notes but now I know why. Poor guy has to deal with that daily. Yikes. Not a very user friendly layout..and different than other buildings with stairs. Meh. read more

I've been living here for the past 1.5yrs and for the most part I love it. I love the size of my apt (850sq) and the price I am paying for it!!! LOL I have great value compared to other places in Austin especially that the complex is still pretty new and the unit was spotless and very well appointed. I have a huge kitchen with stainless appliances and a double sink bath room with washer and dryer. What makes this a great place to live is the staff. Management here is by far the best I have dealt with, even maintenance is prompt, courteous and generally gets things done quickly. If you ever reach out to the manager, she will actually call and discuss it with you! The only reason they lose one star, is because sometimes I get very noisy upstairs neighbors and I can hear them run around their place. I just wish they had more padding or something to keep that from being an annoyance. read more

I had been at Camden Amber Oaks since 2014 and I absolutely loved living there. The only reason my husband and I moved is because we purchased a house. The staff is beyond sweet and all of my neighbors are very polite. The groundskeepers even noticed when I stopped walking around the community with my big baby belly and congratulated me! read more

Things changed so drastically, I have to update my first review! Our first year here was awesome, but immediately after resigning our lease for another year, everything went down hill fast. It felt like WW3 in regards to the valet trash. We made sure to follow the rules, but they still only picked up when they felt like it and even busted our bags in the breezeway for us to clean up. I may be wrong but when you're forced to pay for a service and you make sure you follow every rule, you would expect the service, correct? Nope. So good luck. We finally after MONTHS were told by a new front desk worker that they are aware of the shitty valet service but there's nothing we can do. They also pick and choose who has to follow trash rules. We couldn't get them to pick up our trash but don't worry, our neighbors never used their trash cans and their trash was picked up every night, obviously not being fined. Gina and Angel are the only workers worth a damn there. Don't let the gates give you false sense of security. They're often broken and people jump the fence in the back anyway. They had a string of car break ins not too long ago, but they pretty much told residents they were SOL. I reported seeing people jumping the fence and never even received a call back. Also many of the new renters moving in are trash so don't be surprised with the filth you see walking around and vicious dogs running off leash. Everything started to fall apart quickly in the apartment and unfortunately overworked & under appreciated Angel is the only one qualified to do major repairs. Make sure when you put in a maintenance requests that even if their online system is down, do not report to front desk, they will mess it up every time and when something isn't done they'll blame it on maintenance. This review could go on & on so I'm sure i'll update eventually. But I would not have signed another lease had I known how terribly we would have been treated. Thankfully after over two years, we have moved on to better. read more

I lived at the Camden Amber Oaks from August of 2014 to September of 2015, and it was the best apartment experience I've had to date! Pros: -The staff is amazing! Anytime I had an issue, they were always there to help. This is definitely not the kind of staff that forgets about you the second you sign a lease. -The apartments themselves are incredible! We had a two bedroom unit in Phase I that I'll miss dearly. There were hardwood floors throughout the apartment except for in the two bedrooms. The kitchen was spacious with granite countertops and stainless steal appliances. Both bathrooms were ensuite with huge garden soaking tubs and framed mirrors. -Washer and dryer are included as well as cable and internet. -Maintenance is very quick to respond to work orders -The parking for the complex (at least in building 15) was abundant, so I never had to park at another building. Cons: -They charge for their 24 hour emergency maintenance. I had a situation where my roommate was leaving for the night at the same time I was taking trash to the dumpster, and she locked me out. I was able to find a neighbor to borrow their phone and call the office to let me in, but they were going to charge me $50 to do so which I thought was ridiculous. Thankfully they had my roommate's number on file, so I was able to call her to come let me back in instead. -The location kind of sucks. It's right on the corner of Parmer and 45, but getting on your way is miserable. The red light at Amberglen and Parmer turns green every six minutes and only lets two cars through. After that, you have to deal with the red light on Parmer and 620 which is the biggest headache in the world. Honestly, these two red lights elongate any trip by almost 35%. read more
