Camden County College has been my go-to place for education for many years, and now that I'm an adult learner, it continues to be the right fit. What makes CCC special is the mix of people you meet. Considering the fact that the latest review was five years ago, kind of shocks me. I graduated from CCC last May and I tell you right now. I had a decent experience at Camden county I say that because when I got closer to graduation, I kept emailing and kept going up to different departments just to cross all my T's and dot all my i's to make sure that I had everything I needed for graduation and there was nothing that was going to delay me from getting my diploma so I signed off on my graduation form that I would like to receive my diploma in the mail. Somewhere in the summertime of 2023. I get an email from CCC explaining that I technically did not graduate because I did not complete one of my classes now to remind you I went up to every single department right before graduation to make sure that I was not missing anything and that I did not owe any money, and I have copies of every single thing for them to tell me literally three months after I technically did not graduate. To make matters worse if you call the phone number there's a 5% chance that they won't answer. If you email there's about a 25% chance don't answer. Now if you go in person, they have no other choice but to answer your question. I'm sorry maybe I'm asking for too much but I feel as though there is no rhyme or reason for me to go to call and receive no response. And then to email and still receive no response and even follow up on emails and I get no response. But then when I go in person, I'm like hi my name is blah blah blah. Did you guys receive my email or my phone calls and voicemails that I've been leaving because I still haven't gotten a call back. The professors I enjoyed they were all very nice for the ones that I had for my human service degree. I hadn't had an issue physically on the campus. It was very clean and pretty for the most part again my only issue is the whole administration department and just all the apartments across-the-board. I got my Associates from CCC many moons ago. All but 2 credits transferred to Rowan University, where I completed my Bachelors. CCC is wonderful for so many reasons. The instructors, pricing, smallish campus and ease of registering. I'm now returning for a specialized certificate. Students now can take advantage of CCCs Rutgers relationship! My children will most likely attend as well for their AA's / this BA transfer option? read more

Had a make up exam today at the Testing Center. It was my first time here and I was impressed with the efficiently and ease with getting everything done. Airy & open space area with a multitude of computers and tables for various types of exams. You sign in, give them your identification and are given your test materials unless it's on the computer (mine was not). They assign you to a table or computer terminal to take your exam as well as inform you how much time you have to complete the exam. Five minutes remaining they come over and advise you of the remaining time. Pretty awesome. Thank goodness I was done and just reviewing my answers. Once done, all you do is drop off your test at the main counter or if exam is in the computer, skip this step and pick up your identification and you are otta there. read more

Great community college that offers General Education courses at a much cheaper price then state schools. Over the past several years, there has been a good amount of development here including an exit off of Rt 42 and a new building for classes and administration. I would not be surprised if this becomes a state school eventually. I attended a few classes myself and thought the teachers were knowledgeable and could relate much of the material. There's also a day care on site for parents who are looking to continue their education. read more

As far as community colleges go, this is a great one. The professors here are dedicated to teaching and offer a lot of help to those who ask. As for the campus itself, it looks great and the cafeteria isn't that bad either(offers quiet a variety). If you're looking to knock out your associates this is a great place. read more

First impression was pretty bad. As soon as I met with an advisor, she asked, "Do you have the money?" Uh, why would I be here in the first place if I didn't have the money to pay for classes? Other than that, it's decent, some courses are trivial, some are challenging. read more

Campus Bookstore: I don't know if it's owned and operated by the school or not. I wanted to leave a review on their direct website, but they conveniently don't have anywhere for reviews. I ordered one of my text books used for a good price, but after I picked my book up from the store and started using it, I noticed on my bank account that they were charging me more than the confirmed amount. I went into the store to inquire on the issue and was informed that they were out of used books and that's why I was charged more. As I realized the situation was getting more complicated than a simple refund of the difference between the amount agreed upon and the amount charged, I knew the person at the cash register had no control over that so I asked for the supervisor. When I talked to the supervisor instead of saying something like, "yes let's see what I can do" or "I'm sorry it's the policy of the store I wish there was more I could do", or something like that and being polite and apologetic, she rudely said, "YOU clicked the button online. YOU agreed to it". So I just stared at her blankly wondering what am I supposed to say to her while she's being rude and disciplining me and then she says, you can return it if you want. She was both rude and telling me she doesn't want my business. I already opened the book and started highlighting in it so this didn't make any sense. I would return it and then they would sell it to somebody else used at the used price? Overall I thought using the campus bookstore was supposed to be convenient and easy, but it wasn't. I was going to get a book for one of my other classes there, but decided not to after the bad experience. They were able to send me an email notification for my initial transaction, one when my order was put on back order, and another email when it was ready for pickup, but no email when they charged me more money. Plus I'm surprised they don't keep better records of which books are available so that people can't order books they don't have and avoid the problem altogether. Keeping inventory in a computer should be easy. Not good customer service at all. At least now I know what kind of service I'm going to get if I ever chose to get books there again. read more

Absolutely WORST in customer service. God forbid you say a word that doesn't have to do with a department and they will transfer you to another department on the phone, a couple weeks later and maybe you actually get something accomplished. They are rude, and blame you even though it's on their end that something doesn't get processed for paperwork. read more

After my first semester at Camden, Webstudy was pretty easy to use, though sometimes it lagged out during exams and skipped questions which the professor did not allow us to go back and fix...even after explaining the situation before the test ended and she could clearly see the question hadn't been answered. I have had continued issues with administration. They completely follow their own set of rules regarding transfer credits. Having previously attended 2 other colleges, classes are transferred on a pass/fail basis typically with a C or better. Not at Camden. When you take a class, it must equal the exact same number of credits as well. Not all schools count credits the same....a class at one may be 3 credits while 4 at another. This is also why programs have different credit requirements at different universities. Even after explaining this, it has made getting classes transferred frustrating. They are not very helpful in helping out of state students meet their requirements other than colleges they've "pre-approved." The problem I've found with those colleges is that they won't accept any of my basic skills credits as transfer and want me to start over. I already have a degree and passed all those classes. I am not paying again. I have been left to find my own classes at other schools and have had my choices turned down because of their odd method of class transfer equivalency. It has been very very frustrating. After I finish this program, I don't ever want to take classes out of state again. I enjoy the courses, but the administration at Camden has been very difficult to deal with. read more

What a bunch of unprofessional people!!!! I was in touch with Carol McCormick for five (!!!!!) months trying to see what I had to do to take an Excel course as a government employee. I finally just registered for the 12/3/2019 course. Then came class day! I was excited to see what goodies I could learn! MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! It took me 45 minutes to get to Rohrer Center in Cherry Hill when it would usually take me 15 minutes. Ok, traffic isn't their problem. Then the receptionists took 50 minutes to get in touch with someone in the CCC Continuing Education office, only to be told the class was cancelled! Communication has much to be desired within the CCC, let alone to potential students! I then traveled 40 minutes to get to work when it should have taken 20 tops! Over two hours of WASTING MY TIME! Then Jaclyn Wallace leaves me a message at 2:15 PM saying the class was cancelled and the next one is in February. No apologies for letting me know 5 hours and 45 minutes after the class was to start that the class was cancelled! Like I care when the next class is scheduled! I cancelled my registration for the January course. The receptionist told me the last class I took with CCC was in 2009. I was burned with that class also as the online instructor was a prick and wouldn't take the time to explain things. I told the receptioist that the reason I haven't taken a course related to CCC since 2009 was because of poor experiences like this. Our tax dollars hard at work! read more

I was just there recently for my placement testing because I had been accepted for the Fall 2017 term. Everybody in the testing center were really nice and helpful, especially the one lady with medium length dark wavy hair with the pink glasses (didnt get names so bare with me.) However after I had finished my test I was sent up to speak to an advisor (not knowing I couldnt yet!) I got this heavy set lady, very pale skin with too much makeup and dark brown hair, who was extremely RUDE and gave very heavy attitude. She had advised me that they weren't advising for that term yet, and I had understood and I had tried explaining the people from the testing center had sent me up, she got extreme attitude and told me they arent even accepting applications for my term yet. I had corrected her because they obviously ARE accepting for that term because not only was it an option on the application but I had gotten the email saying I was accepted and awaiting a letter. she then yelled at me and told me she cant help me because Im not even 18???? all this hassle because of some confusion. I will make sure I will never speak to this lady again, even if I attend this college! overall, my experience was pretty adequate and everyone in the testing center is super nice! read more

The instructors of the Dental Hygiene program are lacking any sort of professionalism it is disgusting that Camden County College would even have any sort of relation to them. They are so far from reality it is incredible that they have the sort of confidence they do. Unfair practices, extortion of students, harassment, and withholding information for personal gain are just scraping the surface. The clinic is ran as if the instructors own their own version of a failing practice instead of an educational institute. There is no grading rubric whatsoever and each individual student is evaluated on a pass or fail system based on the personal agenda determined that day by the instructor. They have been sheltered in the clinic for far too long and behave as if they have the power to control a students life both in and outside of the clinic. Many students have reached a point of depression and it is not uncommon to see students leaving the clinic in tears after they have been given a weeks worth of emotional harrasment. The type of abuse that occurs in this program is unacceptable. This program needs a fresh start and the instructors need to work in a practice again to understand the current state of Dental Hygiene in the 21st century. There is a sense of "just put up with it your almost done" mentality by the students, but this culture needs to change for the sake of the future Dental Hygiene students that will be paying for an education. read more
