Well organized and always energetic group of Coaches and members. The workouts are challenging yet scalable for most everyone. Matt and Robert have terrific communication skill, educated, group awareness, motivational and make a solid attempt to bring the community together. The gym has a variety of equipment & is typically clean and tidy. I Highly recommend this team for anyone looking to gain better strength and stamina.

Camelback CrossFit is an incredible gym! Matt, Rob, Dom and Jake possess terrific communication skills, are educated, provide group awareness, motivational and make an outstanding attempt to bring the community together. From day 1 you feel like you joined a community and not just a gym. You are not forgotten. If you have questions, they will answer them. If you are unsure about a certain Olympic lifting movement or gymnastics movement, any coach and/or member is willing to help you figure it out. The workouts at first were very challenging and overwhelming, yet with the assistance from the coaches and members I was able to figure out a perfect scale for a lot of the WODs. Anyone interested in joining or attempting CrossFit, do not be discouraged in those first few weeks to months. Get in a routine, make friends and make sure you stretch. Camelback CrossFit is by far my favorite CrossFit gym. Everyone's friendly. There are people at many levels so it's a good place whether you're a newbie, seasoned CrossFitter or a competitor. There's always someone to challenge you and to compete with. I'll be honest, I am one of those people that tend to be the last people to finish a WOD. When I feel like I can't go any further there's always someone near pushing me and telling me to go higher, further and faster. I'll be contemplating a max rep and Coach Dom will come around and sincerely say, "YOU'RE FAST AND YOU'RE STRONG" and it is truly remarkable to have those people in your life to push you to be the best you can be. All the coaches and members at Camelback CrossFit are just down right good, honest and sincere human beings. It's refreshing to be surrounded by a community that promotes this type of atmosphere 1 hour a day.

I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!!

I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one!

I've never boxed before but the thought of punching a bag has always appealed to me. Especially when work gets stressful. I've wanted to learn how to box but just timing never worked out, but yesterday I gave it a try here. This isn't going to be like formal boxing at all, more like a exercise version of boxing. It was still fun but different than I imagined. I thought I would be learning to box and kick the entire time but you only do that for about half the class. This studio is located right on Tempe Town Lake where there is a plaza for living, etc. It's in a busy part of Tempe and parking is tight here. You do have to park in the garage above the studio but your parking is validated every time you come for class, so that works out nicely. While the first class is free, if you don't bring your own wrap, the studio offers it for $25, seems a bit steep but then again this business has to stay open. They loan you boxing gloves free for your first class and provide towels. There are lockers here but for the life of me I can't figure out these self locking lockers, so I don't even bother to lock up my stuff. The ladies working here are very helpful and said they would watch my stuff. Two bathrooms available but will say the lobby is small and no place to sit while you wait for your class to start. They need a little bigger lobby. This class felt like the same ambiance is a cycling studio I used to go to, it's like being inside a club. I found the instructors mic set was way too loud and the music sound level will blow out your eardrums. I did see ear plugs available and next time will use them. Instruction was ok for me as I am new to boxing and could have used a few pointers but it's not like rocket science to figure out how to punch a bag, just keep punching and learn the specific moves later!! About 30 minutes of the class, you're working with weights, squats, burgers, lunges, core work out, etc. While I don't do this regularly, I definitely appreciated it as I want to do a bit more cross training. I also worked up a nice sweat and my HR was probably in 160s, I was working but not at my max. You begin class boxing and then come back to finish more boxing. I loved the boxing!! I like how boxing gloves feel when you punch the bag and there is a bounce/spring to it. What I really wanted to do too was to kick the heck out of the bag too. I want to learn how to kick on top of box. I enjoyed thie cardio boxing class and I did sign up for some more classes. They offer a 2 in 1 class deal and then after that you can either buy 4 classes a month for $89 or 5 drop in classes for $129. I'm ready to box some more! Great, fun workout and a nice variation to everything else I am already doing!

What I love most: -Everyone is welcomed: doesn't matter your fitness level. Even pregnant women are getting on the Versa and killing it!! Aka me! -The class is only 30minutes. Which means you're putting in work to get the most out of the climb. And don't worry if you can't bring the motivation your instructor will with upbeat playlists and words of encouragement. -Every instructor at Summit Society is super knowledgeable and brings so much to the table. Her classes are always fire! She brings the heat and makes sure we're all putting in work to get the most out of our sessions. Her playlists, positive feedback and dance moves keeps you coming back to get better and better! -Umm did I fail to mention how sweet the cozy studio is?!!
