My family and I are so upset at this place my father is in the facility working to move him. He has missed 2 days of Dialysis and he is in the worst condition ever. Nurse's have not even been able to get him clean rooms is dirty. We have try to talk to staff and they been so rude to us. I would never recommend this place and I hope it gets shut down for everyone's safety.

Unbelievable! Very angry and I might consult an attorney my Mother has been there 2 days! My sister went to see her after work today n found her laying on the cold floor using a trash can as a pillow. She is in need of 24 hour round the clock care she has a serious condition n this is how she is treated. They also forgot to feed her n when my sister asked they provided her with food she cant eat cause shes on a special diet ....how is this not known! They then said the kitchen was closed....are these people out of their damned minds!!! We picked this place to help rehab her if possible Im Not confident at all now that she will Be ok....n now no piece of Mind that she will be ok.....At my wits end about what to do ....why would any place do this just why? The photo is a picture of how my sister found her

Rude front desk with no mask on as they enforce masks

If I could rate this place ZERO STARS I would. This front desk staff is the rudest person in the facility I asked her for her names SEVERAL TIMES, asked to speak with a manager and her response was "she's not here right" after asking someone else they prompted me to the lead who was in charged. This is a medical facility and the staff does not properly wear their masks when dealing with patients. This front desk lady IS SUPER RUDE AND LACKS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND COMMON KNOWLEDGE. They also do not care about their patients, my dad would ask his nurse for water and they would never bring it to him (this happened on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS) please consider every single review when trying to decide where to find care for your loved one. HORRIBLE SERVICE

Absolutely love the staff and location at Camelback Post Acute Center. My mom has been the for past 6 months and with the help the the amazing staff, my mom is miraculously better then ever. From the front desk, to the nurses, to the therapists and doctors, everyone's communication has been great. I am most impressed with their attention to follow through and you get a sense that they genuinely care for my mom. There are several activities for my mom to participate in from exercise, spiritual, education, nutrition and even salon services. My brothers and family will forever be grateful for this fantastic facility and look foreword to continuing to working with them as my mom recovers in her journey of health.

You can tell immediately that this side is newer. The unit is unique in that the rooms are mostly all shared. It appears that space is limited, and that may explain why. We chose to stay at Barrow, despite shared rooms, because this is thw place with the most specialized rehab for spinal cord injuries. Thankfully, hubby had a room of his own for the entire stay. The rooms, because they are shared, do not have a sofa like other rooms. But they do have a tall cabinet, a dresser, and a really big t.v. on each side of the room. There is a curtain that separate the two spaces. There are two gyms--a physical therapy gym and an occupational therapy gym, which had a robotics gym. The PT gym has a small indoor track, a short set of stairs, a life-size model car front end, a ride of padded tables, and many machines to work out muscles and practice balancing. The OT gym has a couple of padded tables, a table to sit and do activities for fine motor skills, a weight and stretching machine, and some really cool state of the art machines to help with balance and coordination. Hubby got to use a life-size video game in which you use your legs to move a basket to catch the balls on the big screen. Very cool! There is a real "home" complete with a big kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry so that people can learn how to safely function in the home with their new limitations. The staff here is top notch. All of them. From the nurses to the therapists to the PCT's (many of whom are RNs in the PCT role for the day) to the doctors. They are attentive and really rooting for everyone to get better. I can't give them enough praise. Nobody wants to have to be a patient here, but if you need a Neuro rehab center, this one is great.

When I was researching options for my wife's post-surgical recovery, I found very little detailed feedback about the inpatient rehab facility. I hope this review helps fill that gap. Let me start by saying: the treatment my wife received was phenomenal. That's not a word I use lightly. I come from a professional background that emphasizes planning, execution, and a pursuit of excellence, and I was genuinely impressed at every level. The medical care was outstanding. Dr. Bliss and Dr. Linke were not only knowledgeable but also deeply attentive and responsive. When a few complications arose, both physicians intervened promptly and with skill, leaving no room for doubt about their commitment and expertise. The nursing staff deserves praise as well--they were consistently helpful, kind, and ready to go the extra mile. But the heart of this review, and the true stars of the experience, are the physical and occupational therapy teams. Simply put: wow. Whether it's their training, their personalities, or a combination of both, the PT/OT staff at Barrow are compassionate, driven, and remarkably effective. Their ability to connect, motivate, and produce tangible results made a real difference in my wife's recovery. They don't just go through the motions--they care, and it shows. No hospital experience is without its challenges, but this one came remarkably close to faultless. And I say "almost" only because perfection is such a subjective, elusive thing. To the entire Barrow rehab team: kudos. You exceeded expectations in every way. ---

Upon discharge the coordinator Rachel did not have our paperwork ready and needed extended time doing so. When I went to pick her up after an email stating I would be there, the paperwork was not complete. At the nurses station the head nurse told me that she has a uti. It is standard practice to keep a patient until medically cleared. I was shown her labs, which clearly showed a uti. I was told to leave and come back between 5 and 6 in the evening. I did and the nurse changed what she had said per the doctor. Stating that it was contamination not a uti. Even though my aunt said it was burning when she urinated and that her back hurt. I took her home and she still said she was having the discomfort. I told her that the doctor said she didn't. She has dementia and developed a severe altered mental status, incontinence, and back pain that became unbearable. We ended up at the ER where she is now with a UTI. North mountain is supposedly the #1 rehab and skilled nursing facility in the valley. I would beg to differ. I emailed the coordinators at north mountain about this with one of them requesting that Rachel reach out to me in regards to our experience. I have yet to hear from anyone. Think twice before choosing them for your loved one.

They have made what seems the impossible, a realistic goal to strive for to achieve. I am helping a friend of mine who was in need of their services. They were able to set up an online evaluation within days of my call, not like the others who said they were booked for weeks. To be able to have the evaluation completed online was a God send. It makes it so much more do-able for people that don't have their license and don't drive to be able to meet and complete the requirement set by MVD. Even after the screening when I had questions about the next step for my friend, Nathan was so knowledgeable and cut out all the confusion. He even made a recommendation of a provider who can help... I know someone else who will benefit from a Stonewall Institute and will be sending him over next as well as let him know it's not as frightening as one might think...just get it done!!!! Calvary Healing Center is the place I have chosen to do Detox and residential Rehab twice now…read more(don't take points away from them for my relapse.) It's one of the best if not the best program in Phoenix. Jade is by far the best therapist I have worked with in my 49 years on this planet (33 of which have been spent in therapy of one form or another). The BHTs are all standouts, but Sarah (one of the recent hires), Paris, Louis - who really should be a clinical therapist, and Josh were spectacular. Sarah was particularly delightful to interact with, and bent over backwards to make my time there as comfortable as possible. Most are a little sassy because they too were addicts, but ultimately they are there to give back, and they do. They all have different rule sets which can be a little confusing, and us addicts try to manipulate them any way we can, but they were exceptional in their care. Carol, Mario, and the night nurse, Angie were the standouts at the nursing desk, my care there was amazing during both stints, and this one was better than the last trip, though things have been locked down more than my last "vacation" at Calvary (it is the opposite of a vacation, you are in non-stop programing from 8am until ~9pm if you are doing everything you are supposed to.) This is the place to come if you want to get sober and stay sober. It's not bougie, it doesn't have the best view or the best beds, you won't be petting horses or starring in a pamphlet with an ocean view. You won't have all the nice accouterments some places offer, and it is a pretty strict environment (not having your phone can be particularly jarring for some people.) It's not a luxury resort, but it is a superb place to get your mind off drinking/using and get back to thinking about what matters in your life. It's the place to get things back in order and work on yourself with brilliant supervision. The food is great, but don't come there for the food, it's the program and the fellowship you will develop with the other addicts there trying to get a handle on their own lives you are coming for. It may be the most valuable experience of your life, try to approach it as such, it may save you. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Dr. Halligan who has 0 bedside manner and acts like you have rudely inconvenienced him every time you interact with him (daily when you are in Detox, weekly in Residential) he is a troll who has no business working at this facility. The other doctor is brilliant and delightful to interact with so Halligan is incredibly jarring when you suddenly encounter his blatant disregard for empathy, but you don't have to see him for long and hopefully he will be replaced shortly (if doctor Mwangi could take over his shifts, the world and certainly Calvary would be a better place. Dr. Mwangi is beyond exceptional and I liked his brilliance so much he is now my psychiatrist!). Yes Calvary highlights the pool on their website, no you will not be spending much time in it. This is a class/lecture/therapy heavy program Jade designed to drill sobriety techniques into us addicts with the short time she has with us, the schedule will feel brutal at times, but that is because they are trying to cram as much information at you as possible in the hopes that some of it will stick. If you are ready to do the work to change your life though, this is the place for you. The first time changed my life, I just made a wrong turn in the process and turned into an alcoholic when released to the outside world for too long without engaging in the supervision I had just learned I needed (don't make my mistake, all substances are addictive to us addicts, don't trade one for another and end up doing two stints in Rehab! The second trip will be my last, but I cannot express how life changing this place can be for those of us who no longer can live with the torment of constant abuse and lives crumbling from the wear and tear abuse puts on us. Calvary will help you, all you have to do is show up at their doors, do it for yourself and your family, you are worth it (and they will teach you that.)
