I wish I could give negative stars!!!! This place is awful! One it smells like urine the second you walk in. The place is so dirty. My father was a patient there and had to leave via ambulance after ONE week. The lack of care was disgusting. When he got to the ER the night he left this facility his PICC line bandage wasn't changed they just put surgical tape on top, and his clamps to his PICC lines were left open. The most critical thing on his body!!! One of his nurses Janet was so awful just rude didn't care about anything, didn't give my father his insulin for 4 hrs after his blood sugar read 390. And she said oh sorry I forgot. One of my father's other nurses couldn't tell the difference between a ostomy stoma and a belly button. Can't make this stuff up!! Please DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE! The only positive thing to say about this place was the PT team seemed to care and the wound nurse Emma was amazing

We switched my son back to his pediatrician for treatment. Then, they randomly started billing my credit card even though we had no balance with them and I never told them to keep a card on file. There were over $300 in fraudulent charges on my credit card. I had to report it to my bank and get a new credit card number to prevent them from defrauding me. If you have ever been to this place, please monitor you card activity so they don't defraud you as well.

Our son's phycologist was really good but he is no longer with Melmed/Cortica. They have horrible service in general. When you call the front desk and leave multiple phone messages, no one calls you back. When you call the medical desk, same story. No one ever calls back... unless you call every day for at least one week. If you are lucky enough to speak to someone, their line is: "I sent a message, someone should get back to you soon" - soon for them is maybe a few days later. To obtain my son's ADHD medication is a very difficulty since his medication is a controlled substance. So if you run out of medication, do not expect a good quality of care. One would think Cortica (aka melmed) would have their stuff together but no, it's a show between communication with them and the pharmacy. Normally the pharmacy is correct when it comes to "who made the mistake ordering the medication" This place has horrible communicating issues and no follow ups. Don't waste your time. Thanks The parent

The OWNER even called me after his surgery because she was so worried about him. They should open places like this all over the country. People comment daily on how much better my son can say words and is advancing well beyond other children on the playground. Thank you for everything you have done for my family. I can truly tell that she cares so much about what she does. She worked with Henry for his first few visits, and even noticed some other things he needed help with that our doctor didn't notice! She is amazing. When he first started here, he was barely speaking and also had some issues with his muscle tone. He speaks so much now and is so much stronger! All of the therapists here are wonderful. I can't say enough good things about them. He usually sees Miss Malia and Miss Cass, and he always is so happy to go play with them. After a lot of negative experiences with medical offices, Spooner was a huge breath of fresh air! Literally every person on the team from the front desk to the therapists themselves are friendly and helpful. I worked with PT Julia and tech Chris, and they were both phenomenal - true experts in what they do. I also met with PT Alix a few times, and she's equally amazing. I went in afraid I was going to spend a lot of time and money only to be told I needed surgery. Instead I walked out three months later with a shoulder that is almost entirely healed, and an easy-to-follow program to do at home. I still can't get over what a pleasant experience this was from start to finish. They have truly set the bar for all other providers I see in the future. A few things that set Spooner apart from other medical offices I've been to: 1. They offer a free consultation. If you're not sure physical therapy can help you, go in for a consultation! You'll get an honest answer. 2. They did not pressure me to schedule excessive or unnecessary appointments. I went in thinking I'd need to go 2-3 times a week and was pleasantly surprised that they recommended once a week, and then eventually every two weeks. 3. The billing is transparent and honest. My insurance wouldn't give them a price ahead of time, so Spooner had me pay an estimate based on what other clients with my insurance paid. When my claims were processed and their estimate was slightly higher than my contracted rate, they immediately applied all of the credit from my overpayments. I didn't even have to ask for it - I just walked into my appointment, greeted by the pleasant news that I didn't need to pay that day because I had credit on my account! 4. There were never any surprise charges or codes added on to my appointment. When Julia suggested we try dry needling (highly recommend btw), she made it clear there was no additional fee, and that was accurate information. 5. I feel very set up for success doing exercises at home. They have a really helpful app with my personalized program in it that includes videos of how to do the exercises, and they also gave me printed versions as well. (If you want physical therapy to be successful, you MUST do the exercises at home!) I could go on and on about how great Julia and the Spooner team are. I really can't recommend this practice highly enough.

The staff is friendly and upbeat and I felt comfortable from the moment I first walked in. The desk crew is very accommodating, even after I've had to cancel and rearrange appointment schedules more than once. My therapists have carefully evaluated my needs and provided realistic expectations regarding progress. I have exercises to do at home and the assistants monitoring my program are helpful and encouraging while trained to insist on "just two more". Julie has provided me with great suggestions, information and treatment suggestions. They are the best!
