Fabulous service...BEAUTIFUL design. In September of 2020 I met with a kitchen designer in Rocky…read moreRiver, Ohio. Short version of a long story... From the initial design estimate to the final pricing, they tripled the price. This was with no "fluff" added to the design. I suspected they inflated the price so I began the search for another designer. This led me to Kitchen Design Plus and Mary. We already had our cabinet design selected (wood and finish) so we wanted to match what we originally selected. Mary went above and beyond to match the cabinets in both design and finish. In fact, the finish was better than the original and the design was modified to include MANY upgrades and "fluff" to my kitchen...at a cost of $20,000 LESS. Mary understood that due to switching designers and starting from square one, we were on a three month delay form our original target completion date. Every effort was made to expedite the project (as much as possible during COVID) and make certain we were happy with our selections. Upon delivery, one of our end cabinets was damaged. They promptly picked it up to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately the scratches were too deep and it was returned to Grabill to be repaired. No hesitation...they took the approach of "we will make it right" and provided exceptional service. The quality of the cabinetry is exceptional. You can tell immediately they are a quality cabinet with solid wood design. Mary's input was spot on. I had a few ideas (style of island leg, shape of island) that she suggested may look dated. I took her advise and she was right. Her suggestions gave me more seating at the island and a fresh look. Trust your designer!!! I would (and already have) recommended KDP to anyone who is contemplating a kitchen remodel. Expert advise, QUALITY cabinets, and exceptional service.

Since the time my new expensive refrigerator went out and the repairman said the cost of repair…read morewould exceed getting a new one, the built in microwave stopped working as well as the dishwasher (all were Kitchen Aide brand). All of these virtually new appliances had to be replaced. While the owner of KDP talks a good game, once he gets your money, his involvement with any problems stops. You are on your own. As you can see by my initial review in 2015, he told me to "contact the company" for a replacement refrigerator as the warranty was over in 12 months (and it was non operable and non reparable in 15 months). What he failed to report was the Kitchen Aide Company that built that appliance was in China, and when I did try to reach them, a recording said the factory no longer existed-due to flooding. The other three appliances that were put in also were Kitchen Aide. Anyone who is interested can Google "Kitchen Aide" and see the numerous complaints and lawsuits that the company has had, and how it is virtually impossible to get any resolution from them. To further contaminate the issue, the initial refrigerator was a "counter top" refri It is very sad to say that a $40,000 kitchen remodel, with brand new appliances purchased from KDP, stopped working in less than 2 years. I must say in all fairness that the stove still works-even though one of the front burners has a light that does not go on (that occurred less than 2 months after I purchased it). The stove hood still does work (some bulbs went out but that is to be expected). I am keeping my fingers crossed on that as well. Every time I am in a large big box store, I do keep my eyes peeled for a new stove as I know the one KDP put in will not last much longer-after all it has been 3 years.

The location for this review is Maumee Ohio…read more In summary: If you want to explore there is allot of products to see.......but Shop at your own risk if you want a peaceful and comfortable shopping experience. We plan to limit visits or eliminate visits in the future. (+) Wide selection of appliances including a luxury lit hen section. Also furniture, flooring and consumer electronics. You could refurnish a whole house with contents of the store. (+ -) Prices for some products are competitive but others higher. I have had positive experiences with Sales people here who appear to work on commission, where they engage to help if needed but then back away to give space to the customer to comfortable shop. (-) But recently I have really wanted to purchase and appliance from them but the sales experience was so aggressive and negative we removed them as an option for the purchase.

Terrible experience. Bought a new $1700 refrigerator. The day they delivered, the doors were not…read morealigned by 1/2" Sent the delivery guys back out days later, they could not fix or adjust. More days later that they sent a repair tech with an attitude. He dragged mud & water all over our foyer wood floor & kitchen tiles from his shoes. Without checking anything, he began to berate my wife which I overheard in the next room. He wanted her to get a piece of long wood to place behind the wall and fridge as a solution. The fridge has adjustable feet. I checked the tile floor in all directions and everything was level. He then told both of us, "This is how this is going to go." I then told him "This is the way it's going to go!" I told him to get out of our house after being abusive to both of use. We called AC to let them know what just happened & request another service tech. They refused. We noticed the fridge was not cooling below 40. I adjusted temp to the lowest setting of 33/freezer 0. Still could not get it below 40. We paid an additional $209 for 5 yr warranty from AC. DO NOT believe you will get this $$$ back if you don't use it. They lied several years ago for one we bought. They made an excuse they had changed insurance companies and could no longer honor being refunded. AC Mgr Mike Kelly called and got nasty with me and stated they would not replace nor send someone out to fix these two problems. He told me to get a lawyer. Nice. Steer clear of this place. Look at their reviews. Update: It's unfortunate that this business wastes so much time to lie and make excuses instead of spending a few minutes taking care of customers. I'm sorry your incompetent tech did not have time to put a 2x4 behind the fridge as a fix like he insisted on, without even looking at the problem. Please state what your tech was going to do about the problem. All during his stay he would not even look at the two different length levels we tried to get him to use. What expert tool did he use to determine that a piece of wood needed to be placed behind the fridge and wall? NOTHING. How did he check the floor for being level? He didn't. We did and tried to show him the floor was perfectly level. He did NOTHING but berate my wife and spew nonsense. As a retired IT Manager of 33 years, I have a lot of technical background and can tell when I am talking to an uneducated person who blows BS. You sent three people out and all could not even correct this defective fridge. Three "experts" from your company. Have your expert techs read the manual or watched a YouTube video concerning adjusting fridge doors. There is no mention regarding sticking a piece of wood anywhere. No mention of wood at the Manufacturers website. If this tech is the best your company can do, I can see why you have a 1.8 rating on YELP. Fact. I would suggest next time your expert and probably not-certified tech look around for cameras. They are everywhere today. And cameras don't lie like you do. Sorry if your adult tech got butt hurt from getting words thrown back at him as he did first. If you check under Freedom of Speech, a property owner determines what speech rules on their property and has the right to kick anyone out that they deem necessary. I was not going to allow him to trash talk to my wife and treat her with disrespect. I guess this is something your business condones. As a woman, you should be concerned - or not. It's very sad, you as a Manager, are so blind to customer complaints and believe your techs can do no wrong. You are a very poor Manager. You get zero stars. Oh NO! New UPDATE! HOW EMBARRASSING! Frigidaire sent out Dave Smith Appl Serv to take a look at this fridge since AC couldn't handle the problem. He discovered the problem quickly. The back wheel assembles and rear side panels are bowed/damaged from being dropped. I guess the 3 techs sent out by AC aren't as great as their Manager states they are. Frigidaire is replacing the whole unit! OMG! Say it isn't so Appliance Center! You and your staff failed miserably in customer support and technical service. I'm positive you will deny everything instead of doing the right thing and calling me and apologizing how rude three Managers and three techs treated my wife and myself. I bet you are reaching for the phone right now dialing my number. NOT! Keep believing you are great and make no mistakes. You own this. Now act like a responsible business owner and admit it. Clearly, Dave Smith Appliance Service knows what they are doing. Send your guys over to be trained on tech service and customer service. And FYI - You owe me a refund for your lousy extended warranty since the serial numbers won't transfer. Let me know when you will sending me a check. No charge for the education.

Installation nightmare. First crew installed my white quartz tops and I had one seam. It came out…read moredirty and very noticeable being white. After contacting them they agreed to come back and fix it. Must have been their "A" crew this time cause they did a fantastic job and you could barely even see the seam. I was very happy with the outcome and glad I let them know that I thought it could be done better. Within a couple days I noticed a small hairline crack on the very edge of the top they had to remove to fix seam. We immediately contacted them. The only thing on my brand new top is a Keurig Coffeemaker at this point. We haven't moved back in the kitchen yet. For the record, this is Silestone calcutta gold qaurtz as well. Nice, expensive quartz with a great warranty both manufacture and installation. Looks great on paper until you need it I guess. They came back out to do a warranty crayon test near this crack, where they rub a Crayola crayon on the top and it shows heat damage. Just so happens my coffee maker is close and they claim I MUST have put my hot coffee pot on the very edge of my brand new quartz top and the little crayon scribbles prove it, so they say. I assure you I did not, nor would I ever put a hot pot on a any countertop when the coffee maker has a spot for the pot. Who does that? After much back and forth with the owner Mike, over email, which were the most non professional, blame placing emails, his solution is to pay half the cost to replace it because I damaged it, so he claims. The fact they had to rip up my top to fix their cruddy seam from their "B" crew couldn't possibly have anything to do with this crack. My new kitchen looks great, even the brand new cracked countertop that will eventually break I assume. I just have to live with that because I will not pay more money for a replacement to probably have another bad seam from their not so good install crew. It's a shame that it's hard to find a local company with a Owner who stands behind their products now a days. His resolve is, my red Crayola says you broke this brand new top, pay more money and ill fix it. I don't know how the top cracked, but it wasn't from a coffee pot on my end or I would of just let it go, like I'm choosing to do now since he just wants to blame his customer and color on my new quartz. Just for grins, I talked with a gentleman who works for cutting edge who has years of experience in this business. Immediately, without a doubt, just looking at the crack, he disagreed. Then he went as far as to say that cutting edge would be replacing that top asap. So, take what you want from this, but I highly recommend going elsewhere to avoid potentially getting a bad experience like I received. I'm reasonable, I know nothing is perfect during remodels. I don't expect perfect. Mistakes happen during renovations, but for the money spent, you want a company that stands behind their products. That's far from what I got from Mike and the countertop shop. Id love to show his emails and how he treats his customers but Ill be a bigger man then him, which isn't hard to do :) Check out Cutting Edge, they have much better reviews and customer satisfaction. When my top breaks, Ill have them take care of it.
