I have a boxer puppy, Lyle tells me boxers are dumb then backtracked and said but not her. He told me my cocker spaniel is too old at 10 to learn anything. He said he can train her. He slapped her bottom several times to get her to sit. I thought maybe I'm too soft and this is the way of things in the real world. I agreed to leave them. Thanksgiving week we dropped them off with all their stuff with instructions that the boxer will get diarrhea if given a different food. Mind you I took enough for 4 days, knowing they won't eat it all because they just don't eat much when not at home. He said he throws out all leftovers and gives fresh everyday. BS! I put the food in sealed cereal box containers, 2 of them. When I picked them up Friday after thanksgiving I was later by 1 1/2 hours, 4;30 in the afternoon. My cocker spaniels bed was soaked through with pee! It was so wet it literally dripped! I had to throw it away. The boxers bed had poop all over. Threw that one away. Their food containers, 1 full the other half full. I didn't say anything because I was totally intimidated by Lyle. His wife was nice I thought! As soon as my dogs came out of kennel they peed. A lot. So they had not been let out for a long while. They hopped in car right away and the ride home was almost unbearable! My dogs stank so bad! As soon as we got them home they got baths, crates sanitized and beds went in the trash. The beds were not cheap either. Yep i saved money on the kennel. But i had to buy medication for my boxer because she had diarrhea. Had to buy 2 beds. My dogs were not the same dogs i dropped off. They were beat down. I don't know if the people there actually hit either one of my dogs but you can tell they were neglected and not treated well. I thought maybe I was over reacting so I mentioned this to friends and they said no way I was not. I wouldn't take my dogs back there if they paid me to leave them. No I didn't say anything to these people. I was so po'd that I was afraid I'd cry I was so mad. Found out that my granddaughter's friends left their dogs there for a few days. She said her husband never told her all the details but he was very unhappy with this kennel, po'd. Next time I leave my dogs in a kennel it will be a well known establishment that has been reviewed. Yes I will pay more but well worth it. I wouldn't take my dog back to be trained either, as I was planning on. I'm sure he would break her spirit and that is what I love sbout her.

We picked her up at 1pm and apparently you are charged more if you pick your dog up between 10am-2:30pm. The total cost for 23 hours of boarding was $104.50. We will continue to take our dog here for daycare, but will never board her here, again. It was a total ripoff.

My dog had been torn into about 2 months ago by neighbors dog and would freakout around other big dogs so I included a rawhide bone and for him to help ease his anxiety. The rawhide bone looked like it had not been touched. I didnt know at the time I would be charged another day when I picked him up. Ive had him boarded at 4 different places and this is the first. So I could have left him there again all day and all night because I paid for it. He is at home but I'm paying for another night. Not sure If I would have picked him up 2 hours earlier I would have been charged $57.?

Today was a Saturday visit and dang, Saturdays sure can be a bad day due to wait time if you don't…read morearrive right after they open at 8AM. And we did not do that on this particular day. Our total time at the vet was 2.5hrs for 10min of time with the vet for a booster shot, and to get some general vet advice about my dog's ear hair and joint health. They don't provide an option to call from home or check in online, so clients are forced to spend 2 hours in a crowded waiting room with other sick/anxious animals which sucks. You can wait outside or in your car and they'll call you once they're ready, but they don't have a real outdoor waiting area and their parking lot is small. I do appreciate not needing to make an appointment to come to Countryside, but as I noted above, there are downsides. And the clinic was even more crowded when we walked out of the exam room. Honestly, I feel bad for the staff for having to always come to work know knowing what kind of day it'll be. With all that being said, I find the staff here friendly and knowledgeable. They have always given me the estimated cost for any surgeries, lab work, or additional testing that has been needed/recommended for my animals. I still recommend this place but avoid going in on Saturday, if you can.

Patty was so easy to coordinate with and she solved our "problem" in a heartbeat! This was my pup's first experience in a kennel, and I'm so thankful it was such a positive one. Located outside of the city of Leavenworth, it's in a nice and quiet area with a large exercise yard for the dogs. I also like and appreciate how the dogs are kept separate from one another during play time too. They offer a curbside drop off and pick up which kept us on-time for our drive out of town! The one thing I noticed and wanted to make a point on during this review is how clean the kennels were. I couldn't believe it, the cleanest kennels I've ever seen! They are very reasonably priced at just $25 a night and I really appreciate that they offer a military discount as well. We will definitely use Country View Kennels again if and when we need to board our pup in the future. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

We have been going to Long Vet Clinic for over 15 years. Dr. Leighr has always been amazing! He is…read morekind, patient, thorough, and he answers all my questions. A few years ago I had a dog that was extremely ill and we took him to two different emergency hospitals and no one could diagnose him correctly so once Long Vet opened, we rushed him there and Dr. Leighr was able to diagnose him with a very rare disease. Although the disease was fatal, Long Vet Clinic did everything they could and they kept him comfortable until he passed. He passed away at home and the office still sent us a sympathy card. Long Vet Clinic is great for regular exams, vaccinations, medications, and explaining the best care options for your animal. They are not overpriced, the facility is clean, and all the of the staff there cares about your pet just as much as you would. I highly recommend Long Veterinary Clinic!

I had to walk..from the door two feet to the counter for one of the 5 women in the small desk area to say "do you need something?" and it wasnt even the question although silly it was the tone. Yes, just came to check the paint color of the walls in here. Hmmm i may have a pet to be seen or a pet to be picked up? Not a great first 2 minutes of the first and last time i will ever go here. When i told them about my cat, one woman said "he isnt until a different time" and the other said i was wrong when i told her i was asked to change my appointment time. She claims i heard the time wrong (zero chance she also could have made a mistake.) Except i confirmed on the phone with her how far it was for me and that i would do my best if i left the house now. i told putting my arrival time there in the next 30 minutes as i confirmed. So i was out any appointment as they already gave away mine. Meanwhile i have an animal that already waited for this visit while sick. They gave me a line about calling the next day, a friday. No call. then the weekend. time continues to pass and we were never going to be a priority. Luckily we found another great place. Long Vet staff leaves a bad taste. Just moved here and midwest nice must mean difficult and lacking compassion. Heard they are the cheapest, but when it comes to your loved animals you get what you pay for. no TCL.
