I know it was an accident because I witnessed her jump up on the park bench in the front waiting area and her leg went through it because there was no cushion on the bench. I ended up having to pay $200 for my vet to look at it and do x rays. Luckily it wasn't broken, but I feel like a simple precaution could have prevented it. Whenever I would pick up my dogs lately, they would be so nervous and acted like the couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm wondering what is going on there that I don't know about. They would also reek when I got them back, so I doubt there is very much cleaning going on there. I really hope they can improve.

Our other dog was fine but she is a very small dog and was in a different kennel at night and played with dogs her size. Woofs claimed that our dog that was sick when picked up was lethargic but acted normal and they were not concerned.

It was a "trust me bruh" but they gave no explanation of what they had worked on whatsoever. Her exact quote was "it seems like you and your husband aren't communicating very well". Absolutely crossing the line. . Not only is that completely unprofessional as an owner to question a customer's marriage but to flat out lie is unacceptable. The owner is completely out of line and a scammer. They gave us zero information on what they worked on with our puppy and no report cards. We have no idea what he did all day while in their care. The report card we were told before hiring them would be DAILY. We got Monday's. Tuesday we didn't get one so on Wednesday I mentioned it to the morning staff. He stated they were down a trainer so we would get both today (wednesday). My husband mentioned it to the evening staff at pickup and was told the same thing but stated the delay was due to a sick trainer. Thursday morning we still haven't gotten a report card and haven't been told anything about what has been worked on. The owner tried lying stating they always had told us that we wouldn't be getting daily updates when that is a flat out lie. We had a call with the owner before hiring them where she stated we would be getting daily updates and SHE told us the class she thought would be best based on our goal. I can't stress enough how much of a liar this owner is and now she's trying to twist the narrative. We did not expect perfection we made it very clear we know he's a puppy. However, we have not been told a single thing of what they worked on with our dog. Nor has the biting even slightly gotten better. This was supposed to be a longer course, so the owner falsely framing this as if we expected a magical difference in three days is not only misleading but it is another lie. A complete waste of time and money. Do not recommend. They will tell you what you want to hear then change everything after you pay

I called vs booked online in order to avoid any confusion and I like that there wasn't a super strict drop-off or pick-up time. Our weekend was unique in that we had no idea how the schedule would play out (selling our house) and this was a nice perk. During Covid times, they came out to the car to leash him up and take him in. I checked in a few times on their webcam, and I don't know if they can get out from their contract with whoever provides it, but I'd recommend it. It's spotty at best, and difficult to navigate. We gave up because it didn't work. I did notice my little guy sleeping on the floor in the late evening, and we had requested a private room for him which he never received. I wasn't too upset about it, but did mention it to the staff. The manager called quickly and was honest about things (biz picking up as Covid eases, they didn't have one available, and their staff is very new) which I understand. All in all, I liked this spot. I was a tiny bit frustrated that he wasn't able to get what we requested, but at the end of the day it was OK. Oh and I also added a bath for him for just $10 (maybe $15, can't recall) which was so worth it.

The place I'd used in the past was completely booked, and I started freaking out...until I called Deb's. Yes she had room for them, and yes, she'd love to have them. I actually spoke with her on the phone for 45 minutes and got a feel for the kind of person I was dealing with; a confident, competent expert who has a passion for animals. I dropped my boys off on the morning we left. I was nervous as all get out bc these two are absolute knuckleheads. They're very quirky dogs & the purebred can be extremely stand-offish. He generally trusts nobody except his family and their closest friends. He's a working dog, and his main job is protecting us, so I didn't know what to expect. Everything went very smoothly during drop off. The facility was nice & clean, staff was more than courteous, and there were quite a few dogs outside in the large play area. The dogs all seemed happy & well cared for. Deb came in and after meeting, she took full control & whisked my boys off. I discussed feeding & meds with the gentleman at the front counter, and off I went. I called to check on my dogs & the phone was answered immediately. Everything was great, they were spending equal amounts of time playing outside & relaxing. No issues. I was quite comfortable after speaking with the staff. They were in good hands. When we returned I was eager to pick up my knuckleheads. I arrived a bit after my scheduled 2pm appointment, but it definitely didn't seem to be an issue. Their things were in the waiting room packed up & ready to go. Then came the ultimate test; I'd be able to tell exactly how things went based on my older boys demeanor. We had a bad experience with another well known local kennel & there was no mistaking that he'd been treated poorly. Also he has always been apprehensive and just "out of it" for 2-3 days after boarding. None of that. Both dogs were happy as could be. They were bright eyed & bushy tailed! Ready to go home for sure, but super content. They were clean, well fed & rested. They even got baths before I picked them up. I don't even know how anyone got warmed up enough to my Heeler in such a short amount of time to actually give him a bath, but kudos!! Short version: Deb's Riverview Kennels is a great choice if you're looking to board your pets. In the past I've completely avoided boarding bc it just never worked out. Now that has changed & I'm thrilled that I have a place to "babysit" my boys. I'll definitely return, and I'll also refer them without hesitation.
