This review is just for the evening restaurant. Everything else is great! I've been here two nights and dinner has been terrible the first night I had chicken in mole it was a chicken breast, had two bites and tasted a bit off I looked at the chicken and it was undercooked. I didn't complain just paid for it. The second night I had the tostadas de callo. I've had these many times but what I received was old smelly, squishy callo. I had to complain. They didn't charge me for my plate and service was really bad. Room is great and breakfast are amazing but dinner here I have to say not good at all. read more

I stayed at this hotel last weekend. The rooms are very nice and modern. Our first room was not properly cleaned, the bathroom must have been missed during the clean up, there was stuff on the toilet seat. We went down stairs and the front desk switched us to a new room, no fuss. We went up to the rooftop bar, great views and great drinks. The food however was a different story. Everyone in my group had issues with the food we sent back some of the food, but it wasn't any better when it returned to the table. Needless to say we did not eat here again. If you stay here visit the bar for the views but avoid the food. Overpriced and very low quality. Lastly, the hotel lobby has no restroom!!! Almost everyday while waiting for our friends in the lobby we had to make the trip up to our room in the 5th floor to use the bathroom. The was such an inconvenience. The hotel is centrally located and there are many restaurants and places to see within walking distance. I personally will not stay here again. read more

So the view is fabulous. Service and plating is great. However the food is just meh. It's hard to find this place as Apple Maps says elsewhere. However it's in the doubletree Hilton in the city center. As the name says on the 7th floor. read more

This hotel had everything on point. From the price to the location and even the service. Couldn't be happier. Anything I needed, I asked the front desk and to care if it. I wanted to do a tequila tour and they set me up for the next day, I just had to show up at the lobby the next day. The room was small, as I got a basic room but very modern and well kept. King size bed along with a 32' tv. I arrived late and most of the places were closed so I ordered room service and the food came out quick and looked and tasted delicious. The hotel it self is centrally located in the historic district. So many places for food just walking distance. Shops, street vendors and the amazing churches all within a few min of the hotel. First off if you book here, you have to go to the roof top restaurant. The food is so freaking good! And if your on the fence if you want to get the included breakfast, don't think about it... just add it. They may call it a buffet but it's a breakfast spread. The juices are all freshly made. Not that "not from concentrate" stuff you get in the States. You have various fresh baked goods, fruits, pozole (which is my favorite), omelette bar, bacon and I could go on and on. All with a roof top view of the centro historic. Now the rooms, well my room, is banging!! I opted for the larger room. I have loveseat, coffee table, chair and very large closet and bathroom. The only fault I could find is that there was no clock in my room. The service at this hotel is top notch. Everyone waits on you, as if your a celebrity. It took some time for me to get used. The one thing I would suggest is please tip those who help you. They are providing a good service and if your from the US 100 pesos is just 5 dollars. We spend more on a cup of coffee at Starbucks. I was so pleased at my experience that NH hotel is now my preferred hotel when I travel abroad. read more

This is the second time we stay at NH in GDL, and we came back for a reason: great service, beautiful hotel, and perfect location. Our favorite is the buffet breakfast. It's delicious, with a variety of choices. Samuel, the chef, is super friendly and a great cook. His salsa's is amazing. My father in law loved them! We did too. Highly reecomend this place or at the very least, try the breakfast. Additionally, Ramon from Guest Relations is incredibly helpful. He helped coordinate a car service pick up from the airport, a tour of Tequila (to and from the hotel), and a car rental. It made planning our vacation whole lot easier. I can't thank him enough. This hotel is well located, incredibly clean, has fantastic service, and highly recommended. read more

If you are visiting Guadalajara and want to experience the city in a great way, this is the hotel you want to stay at. It is perfectly located in the heart of Guadalajara in El Centro Historico, with gorgeous views of the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral of Guadalajara. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful done and nicely modern. The rooms are really well done. I stayed in the Master Suite, which was a large room that included a wrap-around balcony with views of the full Cathedral. It was large and had a couch sitting area, dining area, nice king size bed and large bathroom. It felt like home away from home! The restaurant on the top floor has spectacular views as well, featuring full length windows so you feel you are right in the city as you have breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. The menu is great and breakfast is a great deal, with a buffet style of freshly prepared Mexican dishes, pastries, fruits, and other items, including an omelet and waffle bar. If you prefer, you can also order from the 24-hour room service menu. That's right, 24 hour! The only catch to this hotel is that it does not have parking on site and it's kind of confusing to get to their parking structure shared as public parking about 2 blocks away, but if you come in and let them know you are on the street, they will gladly come get your bags or deliver them to your car. My experience here was incredible and will gladly stay there again on my next visit to Guadalajara. read more

This hotel was one of the nicest hotels that I've stayed in for the price paid per night... about $60.00. That $60.00 bought us a two room suite with a nice seating area, two TVs, a beautiful bathroom with duel sinks, a magical shower, and a very comfortable bed. Aside from the great accommodations, we were very pleased with the location of the hotel in the center of the city. On the weekend we loved the commotion of the locals gathering out front, performing, dancing, and eating their lunch from surrounding stores and vendors. You're a quick walk to some of the city's best sites and grabbing an Uber from out front of the hotel was easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. We'd definitely stay here again! read more

The room was comfortable and quiet for the most part, except during the afternoon when I could hear the hotel service workers cleaning the other rooms (they chatted quite a bit in the hallway). The breakfast buffet was amazing! I liked that there were many vegetarian options. The view from the food area was nice too. The things that were challenging: the elevator key is only good for the floor one is staying in. Since there was a group of us staying at different floors, the key situation was tough and annoying. The hotel itself is located in a plaza and is not close to the street side/curb. Ordering ubers or taxis from the hotel was tough for this reason, especially if one was relying on the hotel WiFi (it wouldn't reach the street). read more

Probably the worst service I've ever experienced at a hotel. The check in process was awful. The staff didn't really care to try to make anything better. Because of the disorganization at the front desk it took nearly two hours to get our room. One couple was so upset they demanded a refund. Rooms are really small and if you're unlucky enough to get an interior room, your only view is that of a curtain. Service in the seventh floor restaurant was slow. Their location does not make up for their poor service. read more

LOVED staying here. The hotel is clean, comfortable, safe and makes an eco-friendly effort with notes about re-using your towels and a room-key activated AC. I had to extend my check out time twice (it's normally at noon, I extended to 4pm then to 6pm) and the gentleman assisting me was quick and helpful. He even helped me print out mine and my family's boarding passes for our flight back to LA later that evening! The ONLY downside: there's construction going on all around that area right now so it was a little hard to find the entrance--obviously not the hotel's fault--but if you're taking an uber/ being driven there try to use Waze beforehand to see where it would be the easiest to be dropped off for maximum efficiency with luggage-carrying, etc. Other than that: enjoy the comfort this hotel and its friendly employees provide and take in the SIGHTS! It's located at the heart of the city, a walking distance from historical landmarks and delicious food!! read more

I really wanted to stay at this hotel. I called and spoke with someone who worked in the restaurant. I wanted to ask him about the Guadalajara at city center and I was still wondering which hotel I was going to choose. I had some concerns about safety, and after trying to talk to me for a few moments in Spanish and in English he hung up the phone on me. I will never stay in this hotel. I think it is totally rude for somebody in the hospitality area to treat potential customers this way. read more

I checked in on Friday night and the staff was great. They gave us tips as to what to do around the area and what to eat. Which is my favorite part. The rooms are small but very clean. I was very comfortable and the rooms are sound proof, so we didn't hear any of the construction going on outside. The breakfast buffet is amazing and has an even better view.
