First off, let ne start by saying this hotel is hidden gem. The rooms were extremely nice with an old rustic charm. All personnel were very nice and helpful. We would definitely recommend. On another note, my wife and I wanted to visit the town of Tequila and ask the concierge (Jaime) for for transportation guidance yo get there, he said he would get back to us. A few minutes later he informed us that he found a driver to be our private guide. Not only did he drive us there, we visited a few distilleries, went to a very nice lunch, etc. It was a wonderful trip. But most importantly he kept us safe and sound. Then got us back to the airport right on time to catch our next flight. Thank you again Quinta Real!

I grade hotels on: Building, Location, Service, Comfort Building Wow is the only way to describe this place. They went to great pain to make this look like an old world Mediterranean home and it worked. From the exposed brick to the curated statues, they did this right! I give the actual building 6 stars! Location Seemed like a really good location. I don't know Guadalajara very well. For that reason I cannot expand of the location with a great deal of authority. What I can say is everything we wanted to see was about 15 to 20 min away and I rather stay here than in those places. I also needed basic things like, ATM, connivence store, money exchange, barber and 2 am hotdog. All of those things were less than 2 blocks away so, winner. Service Top notch. The doorman, wait staff and even building staff, everyone was accommodating and willing to go the extra mile without even having to ask. The brightest spot was the concierge, Jaime. He will get you anything you want 24 hours a day without even blinking an eye. He set me up with a tour guide that was worth more than what we actually paid. Comfort I reduced it by 2 stars but could have easily take 4 stars away. The bed was not just hard it was just springs. I still have back pain from sleeping on that bed. Then the mosquitos!!! I was bit all night! So much so that I couldn't sleep. The reason is, the hall is open to the outdoors and there is an ivy on the wall. Add to that the doors and windows do not close properly and there you go. Mosquitos!

It's just breath taking. You travel in the hectic city and then you come to this a beautiful little piece of calm in the muddle of everything. The rooms need updating a bit but they are still gorgeous! The restaurant has great food and the bar serves good drinks. The grounds are well kept clean and very green, just beautiful

Beautiful historic hotel with all the comforts you need. Close to anything you'd like to see while in town. The service is very attentive. Open air restaurant and bar to the gardens. The rooms are very spacious and the beds were super comfortable. Definitely be back

We stayed at this hotel and sad to say, it was a disappointment. I have stayed in various AC hotels…read moreand this one does not meet the AC (Mariott) standards. The lobby has no AC, there is no order for checking in and it is not welcoming. We got there a couple of hours before check in and we were told we could leave our luggage and come back later. We came back 1 hr before check in and no one would acknowledge us and when we finally made it through the line, we were told to wait until 3pm, when the 2 people before me and after me were checked in! Had to stand in line again to be checked in and finally got a room. Front end staff are awful, not attentive, friendly or helpful. The room is a bit less than what you expect of an AC but comfortable and ours was clean. The breakfast at the restaurant and the staff made up for the unpleasant welcome. The staff at the pool area were good too. Food was good there as well, but it gets loud since you are right next to the pool and loungers. Location was okay, but not withing walking distance to places. You will need to take and Uber or taxi if you want to venture out. I will not consider this hotel for the future and will find a better location.

This review is just for the evening restaurant. Everything else is great!…read more I've been here two nights and dinner has been terrible the first night I had chicken in mole it was a chicken breast, had two bites and tasted a bit off I looked at the chicken and it was undercooked. I didn't complain just paid for it. The second night I had the tostadas de callo. I've had these many times but what I received was old smelly, squishy callo. I had to complain. They didn't charge me for my plate and service was really bad. Room is great and breakfast are amazing but dinner here I have to say not good at all.

We went down stairs and the front desk switched us to a new room, no fuss. We went up to the rooftop bar, great views and great drinks. The food however was a different story. Everyone in my group had issues with the food we sent back some of the food, but it wasn't any better when it returned to the table. Needless to say we did not eat here again. If you stay here visit the bar for the views but avoid the food. Overpriced and very low quality. Lastly, the hotel lobby has no restroom!!! Almost everyday while waiting for our friends in the lobby we had to make the trip up to our room in the 5th floor to use the bathroom. The was such an inconvenience. The hotel is centrally located and there are many restaurants and places to see within walking distance. I personally will not stay here again.

Booking directly with the hotel was very easy, and we were able to check in early upon arrival. The hotel is approximately 30 minutes from the airport; the hotel can arrange transportation to and from the airport for 320 pesos, which turns to be about $15 US in 2023. There were no issues w/ the transport arranged through the hotel; they were very flexible with our delayed arrival. There is also Uber in Mexico, which we took from the hotel to various restaurants without issue. This hotel is also walkable to many historic sites, open markets, and small businesses. Our stay at the hotel was pleasant as our room was as pictured and described online. The colonial design was beautiful and exactly the type of boutique, small hotel feel we were looking for during our trip. The cleanliness was satisfactory, and the amenities were as stated online. As other reviewers have noted, the hotel does have some plumbing issues; however, that is common for most Mexican states as the plumbing is old. We learned to allow time between flushing and the one time we had an issue with plumbing, the hotel staff addressed it promptly. It's important to note that this is the historical/colonial downtown area, which was built over hundreds of years ago, and likely still has the same plumbing so be flexible when traveling! There is 24 hour armed security at the front; entrance as there are at many establishments throughout Mexico. At no point in our stay did we feel unsafe. There is a pool on the top floor, which offered a nice rest from the heat of the city and a place to unwind with friends. We will concur with a prior reviewer that the pool does have loose tiles so use with caution, as you would, with any area that has a potential for a hazard. Overall, the food and beverages at the hotel were great and reasonably reasonably priced. The hotel provides bottled water at the front desk for guest. We appreciate the fair price, the accessibility, and hospitality. We will be back to continue our exploration of Guadalajara!
