I hired David to design a rustic live edge bathroom vanity and a barn door for my closet. Needless…read moreto say David was very hard to pinpoint down. My husband and I had scheduled many appointments with David and he wouldn't show up. Never called to let us know he wasn't coming. This should of been our first indication not to hire him. Unfortunately we decided to give him the benefit of doubt. When he finally brought the product over to our home the barn door was still wet with stain. We had plastic down in our newly installed wood floor, but it still bleed through. The quality of the vanity was horrible. Cheap chipped up wood. It was filthy inside and had screws, drill bits and dirt everywhere inside. It was in pieces so he had to come back to install sinks, doors and live edge top. David was suppose to come back the next day and finish up. I did get a message stating he wasn't coming. We scheduled another time. Again No call no show! By this time we had had plenty of time to really look and inspect everything. It was horrible workmanship for someone who is suppose to be professional. I texted him and told him there was no need for him to come back due to his unprofessional manner. I told him my husband would start working on it. The total price was $1600. I had to put down $800 to began. When he brought the product over I gave him another $500. He said he was broke and needed the money. I was going to give him the other $300 when he finished. He never got it due to his horrible work. The barn door he made was so big it would of extended 4 ft past the wall. Anyone who is a carpenter should know that it should of been two pieces not one. My husband has spent endless hours working on both pieces. The live edge vanity top was put together in 3 pieces. That is not a live edge. We had to re-Epoxy the top again due to David sanding it off. The wood was obviously wet when he built it because it has cracked and sunk in numerous spots. David's secretary had emailed me asking if there was a problem because he never finished or took pictures. I set her pictures and told her how awful it was. She apologized and said she would try and get our money back. I never heard from her. Even after I emailed her again no response. Needless to say we have put numerous hours and money into both these projects. Come to find out David is not licensed or bonded. I would differently never recommend his work to anyone. Very disappointed!!! Unfortunately my phone is not letting me post the pictures. DO NOT HIRE DAVID RHINEHART FROM ARTISTIC DESIGN! Sally and Randy Salisbury

We worked with Justin on 3 custom pieces for our bedroom. We knew we wanted to feature live edge…read morewood but we had specific designs / measurements we wanted. Justin worked with us to confirm the height of our bed and headboard, the dimensions for our nightstands, and the dimensions and specific design of our dresser. We're very happy with the result. Prices are fair for the quality of the work. We have been very happy with the craftsmanship. The custom nature of these orders means there is a wait time, but we were in no rush and were very happy with the products we got. I will highlight that we specifically asked about low VOC finishes and were assured that's what they use. When our bed arrived, it had no smell. Our dresser does have a very strong smell and it does transfer onto clothes still, even though we aired out of room for a day after it arrived, wiped it down, and it's been 4 weeks now. White glove delivery was also included and both times (it was two separate orders, months apart) the delivery people were professional and were careful about placing items where we wanted, and not damaging anything while entering our home / navigating stairs and tight corners.

I hired Makers Woodworks, based on a recommendation. Garrett & Justin worked closely with me on the chair design, wood selection, and other project details. They regularly updated me as the work progressed. The chair turned out beautifully. It not only looks great, but just as importantly, it feels great to sit in. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and their attention to detail is obvious. The project was completed on time, and for a very fair price. I couldn't be happier with the finished product, and with my overall experience. I would hire Makers Woodworks again for other projects, and recommend them to anyone looking for high quality, custom wood furniture from experienced craftsman who stand by their work.
