Camp Awesome is TOTALLY AWESOME! I am quoting my 8 year old daughter as she summed it up best. And I totally agree with her. Camp Awesome has an incredible staff filled with responsible and professional camp counselors. They make sure the kids are safe, and their days are filled with a ton of fun. The customer service is incredibly helpful and easy to connect with, either by phone and/or email. My daughter loved it so much, we signed her up for a repeat performance. The staff at this camp are truly Awesome! From the admin to the counselors. MY daughter loved it! She couldn't wait for the next summer to go back. And when we had to make adjustments to my daughters camp days they were so great about working with us. MY daughter also loved the park after camp and the ice cream truck. Both my kids, 9 and 4, absolutely LOVE Camp Awesome! My 9 year old has been to more camps than I could ever remember and said this was by far her favorite of them all! Highly recommend this place. My daughter who is 8 years old, has no friends here but still wants to go back everyday because she says it is "SO AWESOME !" She says she boogie boards everyday neck deep and does a lot of fun crafts. The camp also offers snacks and lunch which is a plus. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun camp. read more

We've renamed it "Camp Sunscreen" in our house. Within 3 hours of being there, my son was asked to re-apply sunscreen 4 times (he arrived with sunscreen on). It was required to be re-applied upon arrival, after getting to the sand, before getting in the water, and after getting in the water. My son is 9 and is fully aware of the need for sunscreen. It's a necessary annoyance that his mother has pushed since he was born. He asked he counselors to call his mom, send him home early, and never return. I don't blame him at all. This level of over caution removes all the fun from camp. We have lots of other choices here in the South Bay, so there is no need to return to Camp Sunscreen. Note: I added a second star because they very kindly refunded the other days we had signed up for. That was very reasonable of them. read more

Absolutely LOVE this camp! Heard about it from a friend who had a wonderful experience, and I couldn't agree more. My two girls - 6 and 8 - made so many new friends. They were treated with such care by the entire staff, and they had a blast every day. So worth every cent we spent. We'll be back for sure! read more

My 6 year old Daughter LOVES Camp Awesome! I was crestfallen when all the summer camps I had planned on my daughter attending were sold out. I chanced upon Camp Awesome in a web search and am SO HAPPY that I did! She begs for me to take her early and is so upset when I have to pick her up. She never wants to leave. They do such a fantastic job of balancing sports, beach activities and crafts that she never gets bored. I registered her for 5 weeks this summer and suspect she will attend even more next year. The staff is tremendous and the multi-media feedback, photos and videos are wonderful. I highly recommend this camp! read more

So excited that Camp Awesome is coming to Redondo Beach!! The South Bay has never been luckier than to have this Playa Del Rey success story come to the beach in Redondo. This camp lives up to its name - all the counselors and kids that attend will greet you with awesome attitudes. My 7 year old son is finishing his first week with CA and all I can say is DO it, parent. He has done academic camps, sports, and this one is fun in its flexibility and atmosphere..... board games under tents, sports on the beach, trips to the water, sand time. And the owner is hands down one of the best with customer service I have ever encountered. James walked me through water and sunscreen protocol etc. And he is VERY available. All the staff is SUPER nice, great attitudes, high energy, good with kids. The price is great, hours terrific. You can't go wrong. They also include a weekly field trip if you want to attend. IT was $30 to go to an LA Sparks game at the Staples center, ticket, bus, lunch included. Do try it! read more

My 8 year old loved this summer camp. He enjoyed being at the beach everyday and riding his boogie board in the ocean. Once a week there would be a field trip & on Friday's they went to the arcade. Summer well spent! Staff is always friendly and laid back. Hope to be back next summer! read more

This camp is really AWESOME! We have done multiple camps in the South Bay through the years and my son really adores and enjoys his time here. He just finished his second summer here and looks forward to it next year. The staff like Diana and Cielo have returned and continue to make it fun for the kids. They are attentive to parents and kids which is amazing. And generally, the staff in general are much better than other camps we have attended. We even recommended it to a friend who also had their son attend as well and he enjoyed it immensely. Hopefully, by next summer field trips will be added again which make it fun and break up the week for the kids. Highly recommend! read more

This team lives up to their name, they are AWESOME! I hired them to organize activities for 30 kids coming to my daughter's birthday party at the beach. The ages of the kiddos were 4-11 and they all had a blast. James, Zach and the entire team provided non-stop fun. They even made it fun when the kids took a break to eat lunch! They led fun games in the sand, were super silly making the kids laugh hysterically and even went in the water when the kiddos were swimming. It was wonderful, I could actually enjoy the party and not worry about safety or if the kids were having a good time. The Camp Awesome team were there for 3 hours and the kids were sad to see them go. I have extremely high expectations when I hire a company and they far exceeded them. I only wish I didn't have the rest of our summer booked with other camps because I know my kids would love going to the regular Redondo Camp Awesome program! Thanks guys, you are the best! read more
