Left my best friend here for over a week while I went over seas, when I returned and got my dog, he was torn up! Permanent scaring on his belly and bit marks on his eye and around his face. The staff stated the only thing to report was a "small scratch on his nose"... they obviously are oblivious to what goes on with all the other dogs. I spent nearly $400 on vet bills after getting my dog back and spent nearly $500 for CampBowWow to "take care" of my dog but it looks like I paid them to abuse my dog. Will never recommend this place to anyone! Get a 1 on 1 experience from someone else and keep your dog safe. Absolutely horrified on how they treated my dog. After confronting the owner he lawyered up and refused to give me any video footage of what went on while I was away. Do yourself a savor and don't spend the money for your dog to get abused. read more

We took our Weimaraner to CBW and provided food and medicine for three days with explicit instructions on how they should be administered. When we returned to pick up our dog we could see they only used a portion of the food, thus the dog was badly underfed. Moreover, the pill count proved they hadn't given her any of the meds. When we came to pick her up, we found her sitting in a cage barking her head off while other dogs were out playing. I asked what the deal was. "She barks too much" was the answer. The place is cute and clean and the dogs look like they are having fun. There is constant barking; the employees don't really seem to have a ton of experience of training with large groups of dogs. The facility is mostly indoor, which is really disappointing. The space is small. The dogs go outside to potty but are otherwise inside all day. MY DOG GOT KENNEL COUGH from spending 6 hours in doggy day care there, despite being vaccinated. There is little to prevent it when the space is all indoors and cramped. read more

The staff on the phone, and when we arrived on site has been extremely professional, friendly and caring. The whole process is easy and convenient. Our new puppy has completed her interview (passed with flying colors!) She participated in the Monday Puppy Camp. She seemed enjoyed it, and was very pooped out that night, we waited a couple of days and took her back for just a half day, and when we arrived she was excited and couldn't wait to go play. We continue to have great experiences at Camp Bow Wow in Monument! This place is ran efficiently; very clean and safe. Everyone that works there is awesome! We immediately felt comfortable leaving our puppy in their care! On our second visit they already remembered our puppy's name and also mentioned that our puppy's friend was there that day too. We enjoy watching our puppy interact with other dogs on the web cams that are set up for viewing in all the play areas, inside and out! Great idea! We are also pleased that they separate the dogs for afternoon and evening rest periods. Another great idea! We trust our dogs with no one else, they are treated like we would treat them, are safe, comfy, well fed, and cared for, they are always happy playing (web-Cams) and we have seen them sleeping together in the cabin. I take my two dogs to Camp Bow Wow Monument and like the kind staff. Leona does dog training for our "girls" which we really like too. She picked up on an area one of our dogs needed work/attention on w/o us even mentioning it and gave us a detailed report after that training session so that we could ourselves continue the training at home. We only wish they had staff on site all day on Saturdays which is one of our most needed day for doggie day care. We are moving to Monument very soon and hope to be going there much more! read more

My dogs love going to camp. The come home relaxed and happy. At other kennels they would get hoarse from barking. Here they get to socialize and play. It's pricy but we get what we pay for. Oh and I love being able check on them with the camper cams. read more

Sadly, I had made my rash original 5star review too quickly and with only have had attended the one day camp. After actually staying over night at the facility for the first time ( 4 nights in an upgraded suite) our dog was bitten numerous times ( two bloody, rather good size bites and numerous ( aprox 20) scab like small bites that the vet had to pick off and look at) Two days after he arrived back home he developed a 105.9 degree fever with a bronchial infection ( kennel cough) that was a $350 vet bill...When we called to inform the management that they may want to be aware of not only our dogs bloody wounds but the infection, we received a very cold, unprofessional, unapologetic, and denial of any responsibility.. actually the opposite and tried to blame our 10 month old puppy. Sadly, we will not be ever using Camp Bow Wows services again... the only reason it's a 2 star and not a 1 star is for a hand full of the camp staff read more

The people at Camp Bow Wow are awesome! They took great care of our 2 Belgian Malinois that needed 1 week of boarding on Very short notice. Although our girls are not good with other dogs and can't return to Camp Bow Wow, they were well cared for and showed no signs of neglect. I think the Monument location is a great place for more "doggie social" pets than our malinois' who are more interested in people than socializing with other dogs. Camp Bow Wow took care of our sweet dog, Blondie, for 5 nights. She was in excellent care. We have never used this type of service before and Blondie is a shy, timid, shelter rescue, so we were a little worried about how she would handle it. She did great! Or I should say Camp Bow Wow Monument, CO did great! They took extra time with her to make sure she was comfortable and happy. They made sure she adjusted in slowly and really took good care of her. I made an appt to take my dog in for in interview explaining I lived in Castle Rock and worked in the Springs and would need to leave him for the day which wasn't a problem. When I arrived for the appointment, I was told no, he couldn't stay the day. (I assumed they would keep him in a kennel or something until his "interview"). I explained the situation and the lady was very factual and non-empathetic and said I would have to come back another day. So I had to drive an hour out of my way to drop off my dog. Churchill loves going to "puppy camp!" The counselors take great care of him, and he comes home worn out after a hard day of playing.
