I have asked multiple times for information regarding the camp, prices, dates, payment plans,…read morescholarship opportunities, etc., without any reply other than check the website. Actually the first e-mail was not even replied to. The second e-mail was slightly better only in the fact they replied. I highly would NOT recommend this camping site.

Both years have taken him one step closer to independence and maturity using masculine fun laced with grit. It is tough, hot, grueling but also engaging, unique, and cultivating as these boys come back more mature and tougher because of this experience. It is refreshing to have this opportunity available to help prepare to launch my son into the real world through these expeditions. My son was exposed to survival skills, camping, leadership, team work, various tactics, orienteering, land navigation, knot tying, knife handling, shelter building, night navigation, geocaching, fire building, capture the flag, laser tag, first aid, basic self defense, swimming, planning and completing hikes, survival skills, etc. over the course of five days and four nights. Surely my son will think back on his encounter with Squad Stx Boys Camp and be grateful for the chance at such a fantastic venture.

This place was so odd! The pastors constantly begged for money. The place was money hungry, they…read morespent an hour of service talking about how "let the lord tell you how much money you need to spend" and how some people spent 1000 or more. Mind you these are children spending their parents money! They even had qr codes in bathroom stalls to send money. The games are not fun at all, on the first day there was a game of dragging tires. It was 95 degrees outside and nobody had aten. One cabins bunk beds were literal baby pins, nets around them and flat green mattresses. Chris Estrada, the one preaching, sounds like he could be a little crazy. Mentioning how one tome he was at the zoo and a guy said "can i show u something" and blisters came up on him and his skin peeled back. Your not allowed to go back into your cabin until 12pm and then they wake you up at 7am every morning! There were some fun moments but i would only say the fun moments were the people you spent your time with, not the challenges and games.

If you are used to ruffing it, then this is probably a good place to be. However, not me. The rooms…read morethat we stayed in were Motel 6 at best. The beds were hard and not comfortable. The cafeteria food was just that. Remember the lunch when you were in school, back in the day or the TV dinners that we had growing up? That is exactly what you will get. This may be a good place for young kids but as a grown up, I do not recommend unless you are a outdoorsy person. We went out as a group and it was definitely not up to our standards at all. The staff was nice and the activity that we did was fun, but again this really has to be for people that like to ruff it.

Parking was a little different since we parked across the street, but it was free, which was a nice surprise. The restrooms were clean, there were snacks and drinks available, and since we weren't sure what to expect, we ate beforehand. The real magic was watching all four of my kids, ages 4 to 12, find something they genuinely loved. That doesn't happen everywhere! From arts and crafts to climbing, sliding, exploring, and creating, there was something for every personality and energy level. No one was bored. Not even for a minute. As a mom, I appreciated the clean environment, family friendly atmosphere, and free Wi-Fi. As a M.O.M.=maker of memories maker, I loved seeing my kids laugh, play, and discover new things together. If you're looking for a place where kids can burn energy, spark creativity, and make memories, Spark is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back!

There is an area for creativity, a piano, a huge playground that is about 2 stories high. The slide is fast so be careful but my grandson loved it and it was certainly his pace.
