I've been doing CG for 3 years and have about 450 check-ins for sessions attended, so it has definitely helped me to stay engaged and to exceed my fitness goals. The format is not for everyone, but I love working out outside (even if it's in a parking lot and it's hot and humid or really cold), the trainers are very engaging, the community is a lot of fun, and the workouts have a surprising amount of variety for just using 2 dumbbells and a mat. Downside for me (and most everyone) is the app, but that's not enough to affect my rating. read more

Customer service has always been awful with Camp Gladiator, but I used to love their workouts, including the trainers and the camaraderie. But then they starting eliminating camps--cutting times and locations until there were hardly any left. Then they changed the format which wound up giving me pains and injuries. So earlier this year, I decided to switch to the online option, paying $19 per month. Today we get an email saying they are raising the rate to $30 per month--a 58% increase! It took 2.5 hours and multiple attempts to finally get a live person for me to speak to about cancelling my membership. I was told I couldn't do so--the one-year contract I signed stated that it is subject to increases. 58%!!! Stay away from any form of Camp Gladiator in any form!!! read more

The customer service is HORRIBLE. I moved away and sent a fax of which I have proof that was received and they are still trying to bill me. I spoke with customer service 4 times to try to resolve this and they demanded I pay a $5 fee to cancel - and they threatened to send me to collections if I don't pay the $5 - are you kidding me? There are better ways to get a sweat on and I DO NOT recommend Camp Gladiator. CG is the first fitness program that I've stuck with. I go 3-5 times a week and in 8 months have gotten so much stronger. I highly recommend it for healthy people without injuries. Pros: Outdoor boot camp, Social community that does more together than work out side by side, Attentive trainers who get to know the camper's strengths and weaknesses, Fun workouts that change in theme every week. Motivating system that keeps track of how many times a person works out. Cons: There is clearly a heavy sales burden on trainers. When there is a promotion, CG Fit or CG Games they become very focused on those and since we're all connected on social media, it can get annoying. They try to encourage campers to promote and most of us have no interest in doing so read more

Well, I decided to look at yelp reviews for CG to see if I was the only one with a problem, and clearly I'm not. I've been trying to cancel my CG membership for 7 months. My hearing is now too poor to follow the online workouts, and running and jumping in a parking lot makes my joints ache, so this type of workout isn't suitable for me. I've tried emailing CG dozens of times, but all I get back is cheery "come back to camp" form responses. I sat on their chat waiting for over an hour and when I said I needed to cancel they said you must call. Of course if I can't hear the workout I also can't hear on the phone very well either. They also keep sending a "survey" to ask me about my experience so I respond by saying it's been awful because I just need to cancel and they keep harassing me via email. I've even contacted the trainer who signed me up and she says will help but doesn't do a thing. And yes, like the other reviewers now they say their collections people are coming after me. I will now send a registered letter and contact the Texas AG's consumer affairs office to see if they can put an end to this. What a waste of time. Hope it's worth all the negative reviews, CG! Keep in mind, if you want to quit CG you CANNOT. I had to quit due to a diagnosed cardiac event......but still have not figured out to do that. I can't. I did not check-in for 5 months, tried to stop payments.......could not do it, got so desperate that cancelled my card, when they called to collect, I told them that I wanted to quit.....I got. Oh that is not my department. Now I have a collection agency. Good luck calling their number. I have been on hold for over 20 minutes before needing to stop the call....THREE TIMES. read more

Trainer - Will was amazing in RTP Frontier, pushed me really hard. customer service - lowest experienced, ever. To cancel your account you have to jump through hoops. Can only do it by phone during the work day, hours of waiting or days for a callback option. Almost impossible if you are a working individual / full time in school. Trying to reach them is like trying to get in contact with a clingy partner who refuses to accept that you want to break up with them. It's been almost a year since I "quit" CG but they've been charging my CC that is no longer in use. Tried to contact them to resolve the issue, next I am told my account was sent to collection agency. Collection agency does not have my account and I am STILL unable to pay to close our my account. There needs to be a better customer service option that makes it EASIER, SIMPLER to resolve account closures for your customers. It shouldn't take over a year to resolve the issues. FIX THIS! The collection agency was more responsive on a nonexistent account than Camp Gladiator! read more

WARNING: not only will you have to purchase weights and a yoga mat to attend this class, you will be non-stop harassed by a trainer to show up. If you enjoy that, this is the class for you. I missed 2 classes and got a text about "accountability".... I'm 35 with 2 kinds and a full time job. I work out to relieve stress and feel good about myself. I don't need to be guilt tripped when I can't make it. Not to mention, when I tried to give some feedback and cancel my membership, I first sat on the phone with the corporate office for 10 min on hold and eventually hung up. Omg! I will never join a gym again! CG is everything I need. There are flexible locations and times! I have been joined for about two months and I'm already stronger!! I'm so strong and I feel so good! I love it's a hour and we are constantly going! The heart rate stays up but there are modifications and some go at your own pace! I think I love it most because I have an AMAZING trainer.. Gina Altroff!!!! I love her!! And my CG family! Constant motivation and we are a team! I could go on all day!!! But I'm just going to say!! I've only had my second day but let me tell you this: I LOVE CG! I do the classes with Tammy at Brier Creek and she is so motivating! I've taken fitness classes before and they typically are cold and boring. The classes with CG are friendly and really get you moving, they're an hour but they fly by because you're honestly having fun. Awesome workouts and competent and caring trainers! Lots of different times and locations to pick from to fit your schedule! Just like any gym, you will get out of as much as you are willing/able to put into it. If you have an injury or limitation, the trainers will work with you to give you a "success option." If you'd like for someone to non-stop text you about joining and is super in your face and won't leave you alone- this is the boot camp for you. I tried one session to see how I'd like it and wasn't a huge fan mainly because I got my picture taken, got added on facebook and tagged, and received 10 texts in a row from my trainer. On top of that, after I decided not to get a membership, was charged $60 to my debit card I used to try 1 session for $20. read more

Worst customer service ever. I was texted incessantly to join, then all help disappeared once I was locked into the contract, which they refuse to allow you out of no matter how dissatisfied you are. Two weeks after I joined the trainer who signed me up quit, so I was left to find a new one. At the new location there was no communication, and more than once I was wondering around parking garage at 430 in the morning because they moved to the opposite side/floor/ etc of the parking garage without letting me know. "Bold week" means you pay for a week of training where there are half the locations available, no one knows where the locations are, and no one communicates with you to let you know where they are so you show up at locations, hope for the best and get stranded a lot. I have been told there is a mysterious list online that I can find, but I have never seen it no matter how hard I have looked and no trainer has yet texted me back to let me know. I called customer service in October and she stated, "wow we really dropped the ball on this one. They did not even set a password up for you to log in online. I am going to talk to management to get you canceled and follow up with you." She never called me back, I was once again charged $79 for the month, and when I called back was basically told that no matter how unhappy I am or how unprofessional everyone is, I am locked in to pay them $79 a month anyway. read more
