The whole experience was great! My husband was able to his cup into the air boat. Since we're from FL, the coolest part of the boat ride was the drifts the driver did. We saw a few gators too . It does get loud so they offer ear protection but I really liked taking in the whole experience! By the time we got back basically all of the tables were taken and the live music had started. Some people like there so much they even take their own chairs to enjoy, which is probably what we'll be doing if we decide to go back! read more

We had a pretty big group of family and friends on Saturday and I will definitely say the band was great! The problem was the food situation, the line to order was about 30 minutes before we got to the window and then we were told the window was closing so they could catch up, that is the first problem, so ok the window opens up and we order 2 orders of Chicken tenders and 2 of Gator bites, now where it's gets bad. Our actual food was giving to us for over a hour of waiting for some basic fried foods. It was busy but seriously a hour wait for fried food?!? They need kitchen help for sure it really seems like they have little to no restaurant experience. The line to get a drink is quite a wait too. Fun place to go but I say eat first read more

This was my first time airboating... I get why this is a beloved Floridian pastime. I get the hype. My partner's family took me here as a must-do for an uninitiated Californian yuppie. We purchased tickets onsite in the gift shop (no online reservations), which is a curiosity in itself. Gator-related paraphernalia, fishing gear, and actual baby gators in a tank (???). The grounds also include a restaurant, observation deck, and outdoor dining area. Bring bug spray for the mosquitoes! Captain Shane was a great guide. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and drives like a pro. I NOW KNOW THAT BOATS CAN DRIFT??? SO COOL. My partner's mom was clinging on for dear life LOL. Saw so many gators!!! It was a cute place, friendly people but our boat captain, Scott, SUCKED! He was experienced and safe but very obviously did NOT want to be there. There was also a ride along/scout guy required and 2 of them argued back and forth, IN FRONT of us, that each one didn't want to be the one to go! We saw 1 gator and a few babies, which I understand, cannot be controlled...it's nature. Not worth the money!! My recommendation is go somewhere else!!! Camp Holly Airboat Rides is pretty cool. We've been for both the Halloween rides and daytime rides both were a lot of fun. The Halloween rides are especially impressive, you can tell they put a lot of effort into the experience. Normal daytime rides are also fun and a great way to see the area and some gators. read more

A Great place to meet friends right on the river. THis business is located right off the south side of US-192 just a few miles to the west of I-19. It's easy to reach, but feels tucked away along the St. Johns River. It has its own boat ramp and steady stream of airboats coming and going from direction of Lake Washington. My friends and I spent the afternoon on the back patio, which proved to be the perfect spot--plenty of shade, open air, and a relaxed atmosphere. Our group tried the gator bites, chips, french fries and the barbeque sandwich. The food must have been good since conversation slowed and people focused on finishing the food instead of talking.The portions and prices were reasonable, and the service by Megan was excellent. While we ate, live music set the tone; a guitarist played from a stage on the western edge of the property. It was far enough not to overwhelm conversation but close enough to enjoy. The overall vibe was laid-back, with a steady flow of locals and visitors stopping in by car or boat. One highlight for me was climbing the small observation tower, where I spotted several alligators swimming right off shore making it truly an authentic Florida experience. If you've got a need for speed, this airboat tour is for you! You'll be gliding and flying down the river -- it's a big adrenaline rush! Here's some things you're gonna need to know: 1) No reservations, first come first serve. 2) Kids are required to wear life jackets, the ones they supply can be a bit wet-- If you have a mini complainer like us, maybe bring your own life jacket if you have one. 3) you are gonna be catching some real speed-- hats and sunglasses etc are a bit hard to keep on. I've been on about a dozen air boat rides, this one was my least favorite. If you can visit one of the ones more north on the St Johns river, do. No reservations allowed, arrived at 930 am, bought 7 tickets ($280) and had to wait until 11:30 am to ride. One good thing that they have that others don't is food and drinks...you will need them for the long wait. Tour was decent given the water levels were so low because of the lack of rain BUT they have no communication headsets to listen to boat drivers tour. Other boat companies have headsets with sound so you can hear a cool background story on the stuff you are seeing. Not these guys, just silence and fast driving lol. The location is prime ! The air boat look fun! The people are absolutely pleasant and the service is top notch , making you feel welcome and at home. The food items I had were not the best experience. The peel & eat shrimp although they were deveined they tasted like out of a frozen bag. the lobster roll tasted good but did not come with any drawn butter or sauce , so it was just kind of dry. The build your own bowl , was missing items from the last time we ordered and the rice had no seasoning at all. They were also out of burgers. Could be a new chef or something but just much left desired on the food over all. Came in today for the first time ever. Brought 12 people! Was highly recommended as we hang at other riverside restaurants around. Beer was cold, Bartender Kelsie was attentive and responsive and absolutely amazing. We sat at a BAR table and were told by the server "Sherri" we were sitting in her section and had to move. We offered to pay out and order from her and order our food from her, we were told NO...we had to move. Our entire group of 12 had to move to the bar. This place beat the expectations by a mile! I don't post many reviews on here but felt like I needed to add mine. We had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport and found them on Yelp. Airboats rock! The noise, a bit of spray from the drifting in corners, and my favorite part was they mixed the seriousness with just the right amount of smarta$$ness to make it a great time. This is a must do activity. They made sure everyone saw the gators. Even going back slower if someone missed seeing it the first time. Cool bar and great food. We stopped in for an airboat tour. The wait was 90 minutes. We paid and were given a buzzer. We opted to have lunch on site. It was good and simple. The staff was super friendly! Everyone in our party tried gator for the first time. There is a gift shop outside, a bar, bathrooms, and picnic tables. There is even an observation tower you can go up to look out over the river. The airboat was so cool, our first experience on one. We saw a few gators. Our Captain "Tony" was funny. He told us facts through the ride. I definitely suggest this for the whole family. Sunscreen and sunglasses... beware if you wear a hat... one of ours blew off! There are ear muffs on the boat to help with the noise which was a must. The Haunted airboat rides were something I looked forward to every year. Even standing in a long line with wasn't so bad, eating BBQ from the food truck, having a few beers. Eventually someone would say what the hell and ride the us bucking whale thing in what looked like a blow up pool. Gone are those days. Now you make reservations online and stand inside a building with horrible strobe lights and fog and what should take no more than 5 minutes if done correctly ( scanning your ticket on phone, took a half hour with only 8 people in front of us. They should have someone handing those waivers out when people get in line or better yet, do online when you purchase your ticket. ). Everyone on the boat except our four year old ( who lives for all things scary!) had been before and when we pulled into the dock at the end, all of us were saying WTF. Gone are all the set ups they had on the little islands and guys scaring you in water. They have 2 not even scary or exciting docks along the ride and the decorations practically non existent. From there it just went from bad to worse when we all realized there's no trail that you walk out at the end anymore either. Now I know why the parking lot was empty. In prior years, you couldn't get a spot and they had people directing traffic. We will not be back. It cost more money for not even a fraction of what we got before. So disappointing. read more

She got us very close to quite a few and was able to spot them from afar and point them out to us. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting.
