I first tried to book online through their reservation service, but the sites that were listed as open were not really open and my reservation didn't go through. I called and spoke to a friendly lady who helped me book my stay. I wanted to stay longer but they did not have a site large enough for our motorhome available for the additional days, so I took the three nights they had. Upon arrival, the park seemed tight for our motorhome, but we were able to maneuver without issue. The staff lead us to our site and helped us park in our site. The site was on the end of a row next to the dumpster enclosure. We thought there may be noise from the dumpster but there really wasn't. The site had full hook ups and the 50 amp service that we needed. It was warm during our stay and we had not issues running our air conditioners. The sites are "buddy" sites so there was a small turf grass area between us and our two neighbors to share. We also could use the turf grass area on our driver's side adjacent to the dumpster enclosure. On our last day, we received a call from the office that they had an emergency road repair happening within the park on the day we were scheduled to leave. The park offered to refund our last day due to the inconvenience of us having to pack up and leave before 9 am. This was acceptable to us and we were able to move out of the park in plenty of time. The staff was always friendly and helpful and they waved at us each time we came and went from the park. I'd definitely recommend this park and stay again when in the area.

THE ROOM!! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it....(the only complaint would be the bed was a little to soft for us....but that is just a preference). The room was large, clean, perfectly decorated....and the VIEW!! My God!! After settling in I immediately made my way outside and started up the hill for a view of the valley and sunset! AMAZING!! I could of explored for hours. The quiet peacefulness of the area is just what this gal needed. We then made our way to the bar for a cocktail before dinner. Again the service was a 10! Dinner? Another 10!! If you have an opportunity to stay here do it!! I feel that when we travel we often look for negatives....(I know, terrible quality). But often as travelers we feel cheated. Not here! But honestly, we're so glad we made that mistake because this ended up being one of our favorite stays. We only planned to stay one night, but we loved it so much that we extended for another night. My husband is really into paranormal history, and I had no idea Virginia City was one of his favorite places. I ended up falling in love with it too! The town is full of fascinating history, and it's just a short drive from the motel. Just keep in mind that most of the shops close fairly early, so it's best to explore during the day. The owners are some of the kindest and most accommodating people we've met. They made us feel so welcome, gave us great recommendations on places to visit around Virginia City, and were always happy to help. Every morning they also offer complimentary coffee and biscuits, which was such a nice touch. We traveled with our four dogs, and it was wonderful to find such a welcoming place for pet owners. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the bathroom--it was very comfortable and well-kept. The people in Virginia City were incredibly friendly, and the whole experience was unforgettable. If you enjoy history, charming small towns, or anything paranormal, this is a fantastic place to stay. We came here by accident, but we'll definitely be coming back on purpose!

I had to put my 91 year old friend in a room here tonight due to the evacuation of the hawk fire…read more When I called a lady named Courtney answered and she gave us a great rate due to the emergency and she let us come in early without any fees and she was able to accommodate us by staying on the first floor and close to the exit for the dog. The room was clean and well stocked up! Courtney personally walked us to the room and made sure my friend was all set. Courtney went above and beyond. She deserves a high raise!!!!!!

I have been charged for a day I did not stay despite cancelling it on 6/30/26 at 7am for the July…read more2, date, well before the 48hrs deadline. After sleeping here 1 night, I knew I did not want to stay the additional date. Keep in mind, I added the additional date when I checked in on 6/29/26. At that time, I was told by the manager, Ravi Thiara that I could cancel it if I chose not to stay as long as it was 48 hrs. notice. On the 2nd night, while trying to run a bath, the water shut off completely. The shower handle was open all the way and the water just stopped! I was not able to take a bath. Called the front desk on my cell phone (no phone in the room). The front desk told me "That happens when a lot of people shower at the same time" and the clerk hung up. They did not offer to send maintenance up and did not make any suggestions for a resolution whatsoever. The road/highway noise is very load. Windows are not insulated. You will not get any sleep here. They do not provide daily room service, and only offer fresh towels and toilet paper upon request. Most importantly, they charge a "transient tax" at a rate of 11% per day. This was not disclosed to me when I booked the room directly by phone. I found out about this tax after I had already stayed one day. My rate was $15.24 per day. During my stay, I asked the front desk clerks if I can speak to the manager, and I also called the front desk several times and left messages for the manager. The clerks told me I could not speak to him, and that they are only allowed to email the manager or leave post it notes on his door. This tells me he lives on site, but is not accessible to his staff or to customers for that matter. To date, the manager has not returned my messages or calls and never addressed my concerns. I have filed a fraud investigation with my bank. I am also contacting the Nevada Attorney General for fraud. I was only supposed to pay $561.33 for 3 nights with Pet Fee. They charged my debt card $881.64 the day before I checked out for 4 nights with pet fee. I took pictures when I checkout in case this manager tried to say my miniature dachshund caused damage.

We paid for trailer parking all the fees required and when we came back the ram was closed and my trialler locked by 4:30 pm. I had to leave the boat unattended at the duck and I got lucky to even get a place. We had five boat stocks with the same predicament. NOBODY told me they would close early. This is unacceptable I had to drive back to Reno and Miss my Flight to portland the next day and now I have to go back to pick up the boat and pay for an extra night at a hotel to fix this issue. They should not have a license to handle the MARINA. Shame on you Lake Tahoe for allowing this circus to act on your dime. I will never come back to this lake and I strongly advise everyone to avoid this unprofessional circus act and put them out of business. FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!!
