The little market has the best sandwiches for miles. The breakfast burrito is incredible too. If you're driving through it's worth a stop!

Pros: -spacious grassy area for kids to play on each parking site, trailers are not on top of one another! Easy check in. - grass in trailer area is kept maintained and watered! Nice to see and enjoy the green!! -Water activities near by - deli - gas station Cons: - limited spots - I have to mention traffic (but it didn't really bother me) - no fire pit areas in campsites! We had to use our grill for s'mores! I wouldn't mind paying a n additional fee for a fire & wood... just so we can talk at night and be warm outside enjoying the stars! Possible con- Yes, about 50% are long term tenants but they kept them clustered.

This is only a review of the wonderful lady that worked the store, on Aug 13th around 8:00am. My friends car was having problems, coming back from Hot August Nights. Luckily we got off at their exit and drove in. We started to try to figure what was wrong in their parking lot. After a few, we walked in the store. The lady inside offered to let us use their tools, if it would help. Thank god she offered because she had the right size wrenches for the fix. Thank you soooo much you Tall, Blonde, Gorgeous Woman, you saved our asses!!!Coffee was also great.

    Cleanest bathroom facilities-

Our first first here and we're definitely coming back- clean bathroom facilities are important to me and these are the cleanest I've seen! Full hook ups and the area around the sewer is clean, not crummy and 'dumpy' like other campgrounds- Trees provide ample shade- only about 50(?) spaces so it's not overcrowded; right off the highway; they have a raft guide excursion; a small play area with swings, a covered outdoor patio with bbq grill etc.. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! I can't say enough great things about this gem of a campground, except see ya' there

This place is wonderful. Yes you have the freeway and train tracks next door, but the gas is always cheap and the market is awesome. Great food (Grant made me a delicious sandwich today) and large selection making it so you don't need to go to town. I highly recommend Tammy's banana bread with chocolate chips, so good. Luke does a great job maintaining the place and he's a pleasure to interact with. Located on the river with immediate access to Boca and Stampede. I visit frequently and have nothing but gratitude for these folks and the great establishment they provide. Thanks guys!

We chose this site out of last-minute necessity and proximity to Lake Tahoe. It's almost impossible to find last-minute camping, so we were happy to find a spot to car camp and throw some tents down after a long day on Lake Tahoe. The reservoir is very nice and water levels are still high thanks to the dam. Plenty of folks swimming, boating, and paddle boarding. The water temp was quite warmer when compared to other mountain lakes. The campground itself is very bare bones. You have a picnic table and fire ring with vault toilets. You'll want to look carefully at the site map when booking, as some of the waterfront sites are wonderful while others feel more like you're just camping in a dirt lot lol. There's very little shade here, so keep that in mind as well. If you're looking for privacy or quiet time, this is not the campground for you. The sites are squeezed in pretty close together and folks were quite loud into the night. Overall, the location and reservoir make it worth considering when exploring Truckee or Lake Tahoe. Sites are $28 with tax for 6 people. $5 for additional vehicles.

I tried to book online but it wouldn't let me so I called the number and spoke to a very pleasant woman who took my reservation over the phone and even offered me a first responder discount! Upon arrival, they were set up for after hours check in and very organized and timely. Chris, the security officer guided us right to our site and was very pleasant. Our site was a premium river side set up that did not disappoint! We backed up to the river with lush trees and greenery all around. There's a beautiful patio with chairs, tables and Edison string lights overlooking the river where we would sip our drinks after a long day of traveling and watch the geese and ducks in the river. There's also a couple of benches and fire pits established for campers to use. There are long term residents throughout the park, and some sites are pretty close together so we were very lucky to have gotten a premium, roomy luxurious site at last minute. We definitely recommend paying the little extra for a river front site. Site 11 & 12 are the best! PS: the staff is very responsive to texts and questions and they were a delight!

We had an issue with bees and they came within 5 minutes to help resolve the issue. Everything is clean and there are cute areas to sit and relax in. Packages were able to be delivered and some areas had private gates. There weren't any issues with any homeless people by the river (we never even seen any homeless people at the river like other comments we read). It's located near grocery stores, gas stations, and fast food places. We're definitely coming back again.

It appeared as if a rock from their drainage culvert was dropped onto my trailer and bounced up damaging the gel coat. The rock was still sitting on the trailer and another under the boat. Not a big deal. As a small business owner, I understand that things happen that are out of your control. We called out a fiberglass repairman. The quote was $700. My immediate thought was that they should repair it, no?!? After going some rounds with Hudson (one of the owners), I offered to cover the cost of the repair, keep it off of our insurance and trade a couple months of storage in return. I was told that not only did they not agree to that, but I had 30 days to get my camper and boat out of their facility (during the winter). I removed my camper that night and returned in the AM to remove my boat. My renewal is due in three days, I'm sure that they'll charge me. If they do not, I'll update this review. Anyway, beware as always. Things were great until they weren't. I didn't expect pushback on such a minor repair from a facility with literally millions of $$'s worth of vehicles stored there. Edit: I am a man of my word. Hudson is not going to charge me for next month as I am currently moved out. I have added back a star, but the issue is unresolved. I am still on the hook to repair my boat and spent hours relocating after putting my boat away already once for winter. Regardless, if there were a resolution or not, my confidence in this business is lost.
