Did not have the opportunity to come for a game, but did have a chance to walk around and explore an empty Camp Nou. I took the tour of the stadium and got to experience the more tranquil side without the massive crowds rooting for their teams. While it would have been awesome to come for an actual game, I am was glad I got to see the behind the scenes portion first! The key is to get here right at opening time. We arrived promptly at 9am and there was actually a massive line already because some local soccer teams were intending to tour that day as well. The tickets for 2 adults were 20 euros each and it included a behind the scenes look at one of the worlds more popular futbol stadiums. The trophy room was probably one of the coolest ones I have seen. They had so much history in that small area and it was fun to see all of the trophies, as well as the many jerseys the teams have had over the years. We also got to walk out on the field by where the players and coaches sit during the games. It was really a cool experience seeing how massive this place is and having it be empty made for some pretty epic pictures. If you are in Barca, I highly recommend coming here! It's not one of the " must do" items on my Barca list, but if you have some extra time and cash it's totally worth the journey. Particularly for those that are huge soccer fans! I can't wait to come back for an actual game! Also, be sure to roam around the Nike store at the end of the tour! They have some really unique items that you just don't find at other Nike shops. One of my bucket list item was to watch Messi play for FC. I was so happy when the wish came true when I visited Camp Nou this week. FC played Sevilla and I got see Messi in action for the whole game. I went an hour early to walk around the stadium and just feel the moment and happy that I crossed off a bucket list item. The stadium is massive and when the game got going the energy from the audience was bonkers especially when Messi touched the ball everytime. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!!!!!! Yessssss! I got to witness an actual futból game in Barcelona with only one of the greatest teams in the world. This was on my bucket list. Check! We were super lucky that our company got us tickets in the front section so we could get a great view of the field. The energy in the stadium is intense. Once the game started, every single fan was completely focused and attentive. When any play happened, whether good or bad, the stadium exploded in a burst of energy and excitement. "Barça, Barça, Baaaaarça!" Chants filled the air like music to my ears. What an incredible experience! The only thing missing from your typical sporting experience was the booze-less policy. What?! I thought Europe was known for their alcohol consumption at games. I guess they've moved beyond it and become more refined, huh? I will say that the high level intensity of the crowd during the game is probably attributable to the lack of booze. I have to admit that I immensely enjoyed the game in spite of no alcohol, and that's really saying something. Ha! In its place is "Cerveza" which they should definitely put a note: this is fake beer! Of course they also have soft drinks, bottled water, and coffee. For snacks they have typical fare you'd expect. I have to share a warning about the churros. They aren't the type we are used to in the U.S.: light and crispy on the exterior, soft inside, satisfying. These Camp Nou churros were VERY dense and not crispy. Accompanied by "hot chocolate" which was a thick, super sweet chocolate (similar to Italian style hot chocolate) was a decent pairing with the churro. If you're still craving churros after this description, they can be found in the separate restaurant area tucked away on the second level of the stadium. TIP: While in Spain, you DEFinitely have to check out a Barça game! DATE TIP: The riveting energy here can provide an excellent date venue. This place is a must visit whether you are a soccer fan or not. I am not a soccer fan but a baseball, basketball and football fan. This experience was better than my visit to Wrigley field and Fenway park. There is a lot of history and trophies with FC Barcelona. There is also the 1992 Olympic torch. During the experience you can get to see the trophies, take pictures of the field from above and at the grass, see player locker rooms, play some foosball, take pics and grab snacks. read more

Camp Nou is a little hard to get to via metro because even after you get off, there's still about a mile walk to the stadium. They upswell you hard on the audio tour for five more euros a person, but you have to hold the piece up to your ear. There is a headphone jack available so bring your own headphones and plug them into the audio thing they give you that hangs around your neck. The tour was fun, they spared nothing. I got to see the locker rooms, we walked out on the stadium grass. The store is significantly overpriced and it was kinda a let down. I wanted to buy my almost two year old son a cute jersey but they wanted 80 euros for it. What a waste so I passed. They sold so much stuff in that store, even stadium grass. Yes they sell stadium grass, ha! I enjoyed walking through the stadium and I enjoyed the history but I felt like cattle being hearded and then taken advantage of because everything was so ridiculously overpriced, I didn't want to buy anything. They take photos of you throughout your tour and they photoshop Messi in them etc and at the end they try to sell you a photo book for 40 or 50 euros. What a waste, ha! Visiting Camp Nou has been on my bucketlist since I was in middle school, waking up on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8 or 10 AM to watch FCB throw down in La Liga matches. This place is massive and visible from a few blocks away, depending on which direction you approach the stadium from. I walked here from one of the nearby subway stations and ended up walking through a couple hundred meters around the stadium and through multiple entrances. Definitely buy your ticket online in advance and check the match schedules because the stadium touring hours are much different on days of La Liga or Copa matches. I opted to pay 5 euro for the additional audio guide, which was interesting at times but really put me out of order in the whole museum and tour. Walking out to the pitch, being up in the pano seat view, as well as the press box was absolutely breath-taking. Highly recommend if you have a love for the game of futbol. Forca Barca! read more

Check this one off the "bucket list". Barça soccer match? CHECK! Appearance by Lio Messi? CHECK! Goal by Lio Messi? CHECK! I've died and gone to heaven. After having a few days in Barcelona at the tail end of a ski trip, it became imperative that I see a match, no matter who the opponent was. To my surprise, when I asked the hotel where I was staying about the best way to go about and get tickets, the gentleman told me that he could buy tickets for me using a service directed at hotels in the area. He went over the different options, and as a local gave me some guidance on which seats to purchase, and I made my purchase. Fast forward 24 hours, and we take the Metro to Camp Nou and it is a short walk downhill (uphill on the way back of course). As the print out told me, I proceeded to the ticket window and picked up the tickets. SO EASY! We arrived about 90 minutes before the start of the match and there was a beautiful festival atmosphere and a parade of energetic fans donning their best blue and red. The sourvenirs were mostly geared towards men, lots of scarves, shirts, and hats. I picked up a baseball hat outside the gates and went on my merry way. Once the gates opened, people made their way inside the stadium. I was glad to have arrived early as the stadium started filling in within 15 minutes of the start. I was not super hungry, but did end up getting a tomato and cheese sandwich. Most of the food options were not my preference, but it seemed like there was a little bit of everything. Parents: they do not sell alcoholic beer inside the stadium, so I wouldn't be afraid about bringing kids. Overall, I was pleased with my experience. I was happy with my seats. I enjoyed the atmosphere which is Camp Nou and was happy to have seen Messi (he does not disappoint)! If you are a sports fan, this should be included in your visit (provided the team's schedule allows). Otherwise, friends said that the tour was awesome as well. read more

Camp Nou - seems almost as much of a must-sight-see excursion as the Sagrada Familia. That might sound crazy, but c'mon: we're in Europe, and it's futbol! I took my guy here for his birthday because of course he wanted to watch a local (and very awesome) sports team play. It was a very brisk late November evening, and it was cold up in those cheap seats. That could not dampen the spirit of the FCB supporters at all. We kept cheering on our boys. (Yes, you begin to think FCB is your team when you are there.) FCB was playing a minor game while we were there. Still, the local fans were pretty respectful of the opposing team's fans. I didn't see any rudeness going on. Lots of folks were able to sneak in all kinds of cameras and food. Perhaps for some of the smaller games, security is not as discerning. However, they do have all kinds of rules about what you are and are not allowed to bring into the stadium. Camp Nou is a wonderful stadium, too! It is designed to optimize pedestrian traffic and get you to your seating area pretty quickly. It's not like baseball stadiums of the US where you might snake back and forth egregiously before getting to your seat. Most of all, I was happy to see that most of the US sports rallying cheers were pretty much used here. (A common language perhaps?) You do that Saturday Night clapping and yell "Barca!" (soft C) at the end. (I thought at first they were saying "Wassup?") The stadium seating is pretty narrow and steep. You'll find yourself standing up each time to let someone by because your knees will just about touch the seating in front of you when you sit. Be advised! All-in-all you'll have a good time, so go enjoy a game! read more

It was pouring rain the day my friend and I came to Camp Nou, but there was something magical about being in that stadium while it was empty and listening to the rain and wind howling through the bleachers. This was on my bucket list. I've long since been a Barcelona FC fan and to go to their stadium and tour it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience especially with my daughter. The tour was about 90 minutes long not including the hour we spent in the gift shop. When you first enter Camp Nou, the lights are dim and you walk through several rooms displaying years and years of trophies, pictures and memorabilia from the club Including the women's team and the basketball team. There's a nice café and ice cream shop halfway through the tour for you to stop and relax. Definitely put this on your list if you're in Barcelona. read more

First of all, I love soccer~! If you are not a soccer fan or a sports fan... maybe you might not find this museum too interesting but for soccer fans, its a see and feel tour of a centry-old Barça club history. It first guides you through a series of their trophies and guide you through their history along with the history of football. The trip through the facilities passes through the grandstand, which offers the best view of the playing field, the press room and mixed zone where the reporters interview players after the game. They also guide us through the dressing rooms (which I am not so sure if its a real dressing room because it looked rather empty and "set up"), the tunnel that leads onto the pitch with the same atmosphere the players experience, the playing field, and the press gallery with 15 foreign broadcasts. 22euros was a bit pricey... but I enjoyed every moment! read more

Although this stadium is dated, FC Barcelona has managed to keep this great stadium up and running incredibly well. Access to the stadium is great, there are a couple of subway stations that service Camp Nou, as well as the light rail. The staff and ushers are very friendly as well, which is a plus. There are not much food and drink options in the stadium, but it's all alright, there are several bars and restaurants around the stadium for a snack and a drink before and after the game. For me, one of the most outstanding features of Camp Nou is the grass, the pitch looks amazing. read more

While in barcelona we had to catch a futbol game right? Right! Although I don't really care for soccer it seemed inappropriate to leave without going to a game. We got there late since we underestimated how long it would take via metro. We got to the game about 20 minutes in. Since Barca was playing Mallorca we knew the game was going to be pretty one sided - and given that it wasn't a good team as the opposition I assumed the seats would be half empty. Boy was I wrong. The stadium was nearly full! And although it was one sided I don't think anyone cared. Overall a great experience. Expensive, but fun. Tickets were about 80 euro /person. read more

Visça Barça! My first time at Camp Nou was on Easter Sunday 2015 and it was one the coolest experiences of my life. Even though the Blaugrana were away at Celta de VIgo Camp Nou is worth the trip whether they are playing home or away. To see all of the history of my favorite club was unreal. The hallways are filled with endless silverware from 5 UEFA Champions league to the 4 Ballon D'ors of Lionel Messi and every domestic completion title won in España. You walk through the tunnel on to the same pitch that has graced Barça legends like Cruyff, Xavi, Ronaldinho, Puyol and the best players of today like Iniesta, Messi and Neymar. If you are a student you can get in with a discount and if you plan it well enough in advance even find a promotion to help save a couple Euros. The tour takes you from the pitch through an interactive history of everything about the club. Camp Nou is located in the heart of Catalunya it is not far from Passeig de Gracia and Las Ramblas. If you are in Barcelona this is just as important as Sangrada Familia and you should definitely go. It is nestled in a beautiful part of the city and only a few metro stops away from Gaudi's legendary cathedral. read more

Very Disappointing for a first class stadium in a first class city! As a visitor the first 3 things we wanted to do we're all met with problems. My family was there in the middle of the day and the first thing we needed to do was use the toilets after a long walk and subway ride. Well none of the bathrooms had any soap. Then, the second thing we needed was a cool drink on hot day. All 5 vending machines were broken (2 Coke and 3 water machines) and from the looks of them, they had been broke for a while. They did not have a sign on them indicating such nor did they return our 3€! And no one seemed to care. And the third thing was to buy an FC Barcelona Jersey. Well, somehow the very place that sells official clothing doesn't seem to know to stock 3 or 5 times the number of size "Large" in any of the men's adult shirts/jackets they carry. So even though my husband and sons had looked at the selection of merchandise online and had a list of 3 or 4 choices each they were willing to buy, only my husband was able to find one item in his size. The field, visiting team locker room and press booth were all great fun to see. Con: Every other sports fan visiting BCN will be here too, so it's incredibly crowded and expensive just for a few minutes of cool viewing. I'm a lucky girl & I know it! My first game here was a few years ago and it was so unfortunate that Messi was injured and didn't play.. Fast forward to 2017. My brother in law got us excellent seats and we were mesmerized as Messa, quite possibly the best player in world, scored 2 goals. How awesome is that? The fans genuinely pour their hearts and passion into the games and it was a joy to witness and be a part of it. When in Barcelona, Camp Nou and watching Barca makes it all complete. Camp Nou experience was really fun! Whatever you make of it, is what you get out of it. The tour is self-guided. Some might hate but I sure love. You go at your own pace and you get to see the whole museum with a ton of trophies, you get to go into the guest locker room, into the stands (at least 3 parts), and onto the field where you get to see where the players walk out. To see a game here, that was the highlight of my 2015! Total highlight. All kinds of amazingness x 1,000. Came here for a very late game a few weeks ago. It was Barca vs not so great team. It was at 10 pm! And it was kind of cold. But the crowd!! Crazy energy, crazy fans, crazy fun! Best part- 1- I saw Neymar Jr! 2- I saw Neymar Jr scored 2 goals 3. I saw Neymar Jr!!! Guess you know who I was going for. Not to mention the best player ever- Lionel Messi!!!!!!! And that Suarez were there too. But still, my highlight was Neymar Jr. And he got injured too. Booo. The stadium is built for fans of the home team on one side and the other team opposite side. It is also built for riot. Riot ready to be exact. Someone was in my seat and told me with straight face that it was theirs! The nerve of these Spaniards. Whatever. I took a better seat in the front row. We were already closed enough to the field. One down made it that much better. There were fans singing, chanting and dancing behind the goal post for the whole game. They are fun! They also sell beer and snacks. You can't bring drinks to your seat (boo). But we had sangria pre game so i wasn't too worried. Overall, it really was the game of all game. At least for me. I was too busy cheering, geting giddy to notice anything! Oh and taking selfies because people LOVEEEEEe their selfies here. Tip- get the first CAB you see or else you will be stuck here forever! Seriously! And if you want to see the players come out, just hang out and take pictures outside. Follow the crowd near parking exist. I saw Suarez and Neymar in their cars with drivers! Pretty cool. The stadium is massive. The exits are everywhere. Follow the crowd! Follow the players! And take in every moment. Can't wait to come back for another game!!!! read more

Home of the Barcelona FCB. Huge 3-floor store that sells all of the merchandise and sporting equipment. So many people, you would think you're in Disneyland during the summertime. You can take a tour of the stadium for 22 euros; it's worth it and then again, it's not. But since you're there, you kind of have to see it since it's a tourist attraction. What an amazing experience! Not a bad seat anywhere. Not sure if it is a Spanish or European thing but we Americans could learn a thing or 2 about stadium construction from this place. 10min before kickoff it was almost empty and then BOOM the whole place filled up. Within 10min of end it was empty again. Your ticket gets you into only one gate in the fence surrounding the stadium. then one entrance into the stadium and that entrance only has access to your seating area. The game itself was amazing. Messi scored a hat trick and broke the all time La Liga career scoring record. Even if it isn't game day go and take the Camp nou Experience tour. Amazing place. So huge and home to so much greatness. If you are anywhere near here come see a game. If you have a chance to only see 1 top tier game ever, consider seeing it here. read more

As a football nerd in Barcelona by myself, I took the opportunity to explore the Camp Nou without a disinterested wife in tow. I took the self guided stadium tour which took me around 2 hours and cost €23. The tour begins in the Club Museum which provides an interactive look at the history of FC Barcelona from its foundation in 1899 to its treble winning season of 2014-2015. Various trophies including La Liga, Copa Del Rey, the European Super Cup and World Club Cup are proudly displayed around the edges. Special pride of place is given to their first four European Cups (1992, 2006, 2009 and 2011) with the 2015 installment around the corner in a dedicated area to their latest treble winning season. Lionel Messi has a dedicated section containing his four Ballon d'Ors and Golden Boots from the years that he was the top scorer in the European Leagues. The signs then lead you to the main stand where you can sit and admire the stadium and pitch. The stadium despite holding 98,000 seems intimate in a similar fashion to Anfield. You are then able to walk down the the away dressing room (but sadly not the home) before walking out the tunnel pitch side. As a Man Utd fan I made a pilgrimage to the corner flag where Beckham took the two injury time corners in the 1999 European Cup triumph. The tour continues and takes you up to the commentary box and back to the stand where you can lift a replica of the European Cup (they try to sell the photos at the end of the tour) and returns you to the museum. The Camp Nou is a must see for any football nerd, next time I come to Barcelona I will see a game! read more

The night I was there, Barcelona whipped Levante, 5-0, and the crowd was there until the very end, cheerin' them on, even though by the 2nd goal it was pretty obvious that there was a rapin' going on. True fans like this are what make soccer as exciting as it is. Just so you know, if you want Barca gear to show your support, better get it outside since they don't sell it inside the stadium. read more

Such an amazing stadium, went here to watch them play Real Sociedad with an attendance of around 80000 fans. We were lucky enough to have seats near the goal. If you do decide to go I recommend trying to avoid booking the upper seats as they are miles away from the pitch. read more

What an experience! Actually went to a Barça match here (took my 61 year old Mom) and we had a fantastic time! Get tickets from the club online directly, season ticket holders can "free" their tickets within 72 hours of a match so keep checking back if you can't find the seats you want. Website is HORRIBLE but once you actually select your seats and get it to take your credit card, printing the tickets at home or at your hotel couldn't be easier. Seats on both sides of the pitch are the same except the Grandstand side is under cover. If it's not raining save yourself 30-50% and get tickets on the Lateral side ... I'd venture to say that between the goals there really isn't a bad seat in the house at Camp Nou, even though it holds almost 100k people! Metro to the game is easy, however it gets quite backed up after. There aren't a lot of places to eat/drink in the neighborhood around the stadium but if you walk around a bit you can find a place to stop off for a bocadillo and a caña while you let the crowd on the metro die down a bit. read more

It's a soccer stadium I got to see a game here and it was really cool. Compared to stadiums in the US I have been to this is a little lacking. The food options while inside are very limited. You are also limited to walking around the stadium on the inside, the sections are very segregated.Not like walking around Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium. Walking around within the stadium perimeter around the stadium is also tricky. During halftime just about the entire crowd goes out for a smoke break, I've never seen this large of a smoking circle. I took the opportunity to walk around the stadium, unfortunately this was a bad idea. Apparently it is well known with locals but after the smoke break (half time) is over you must immediately go back to your seats as they won't let you enter the stadium to go to your seats again (even though the smoking area is in the stadium enclosure). I had to argue with security for about 10 minutes to try to get back to my seats, they argued that someone may have passed me my tickets even though they were on my iPhone. Eventually a more senior security person came over and let us back in. read more

As an American, I have experienced nothing close to what a futbol match is like. A regular FCB match in January has about the same (or maybe more) gusto than the playoffs (in any sport, in ANY SPORT!). See?
