DO NOT COME HERE! This place has changed management and staff several times over the past few months. You get used to a nail tech and one day you return and he/she along with the rest of the staff are gone. The shop has VERY unsanitary practices. They offer "cocktails" for spa mani/pedis, but the drinks are flat and are made in the storage closet where they store their mop bucket and other cleaning products. This is also where they mix their cleaning products to "clean" their shop. They REUSE their acetone. YES, REUSE! I've watched them suck up acetone that has been used by a customer, back into the bottle on several occasions. After I called them out on it, they began collecting it in a bucket - semi out of view of the customers - where they replenish their individual bottles when they think no one is looking. After viewing this the first time, I noticed that my acetone always had particles of nail polish and even larger patches of gel polish that was intact enough for me to realize that it had come from someone else's nail. I've never witnessed them sterilize ANYTHING. For their gel manicures, they mix products - OPI Axxium, Artistic Colour Gloss and some other product called Cacee. For gel soak-off removal, hey require you to soak your nails in a bowl of highly concentrated acetone for several minutes. This is NOt the recommended removal procedure of ANY gel nail system. I've been coming here for longer than I'd like to admit and have tried to look the other way due to the salon's close proximity to my home and also the cheap price of $25 (gel manicures in the area can be almost double this price more often than not). But after going there today and being serviced by a different nail tech (my regular guy was out of the country) this guy cut some MAJOR corners that made me sick to my stomach. I vowed to contact the health department after I left and do my best to write a review that would alert people to their practices. Buyer Beware! read more

If you would like to pay for a manicure while your nail tech talks about you in another language, snatches your hands around, and gets an attitude when you ask to change your color selection after just a couple of swipes of polish on the first nail, then this is the place for you. I paid $30 for a rushed, lumpy gel manicure. I still tipped the rude heifer 20% because I thought I liked my nails and I didn't want to be cruddy. When I inspected more closely I realized that my coat of glitter is lumped right in the middle of each nail, not even close to the edges. I am so sick of places like this. I just can't seem to find a place with consistently good customer service. This is just sad. She had the nerve to do a 5 second massage at the end after slamming the color swatches on the table over and over, huffing and puffing, and talking about me to anyone who would listen, then smile at me and compliment my nails when she was done. The lashes the girl put on just last week all fell off and it had not even been a full week yet. Not only did the fake lashes come off but my natural lashes were effected and there are gaps in my natural lashes now; This experience has made me never want fake lashes again. The girl who did my lashes assured me they would last at minimum three weeks and that was a bald face $50 lie which was the amount I paid to have them put on my eyes. I am very disappointed and now, no telling how long it will take before my natural lashes will grow back in full. Worst customer service ever. After going here all the way from va because i love most of their employees and they knew how i liked my eyelashes. One day my regular two ladies were unavailable and they referred the lady that does manicures, well she did horrible i complained the day of it took 2 hours to do something i knew would fall off, they assured me they would not. I woke up with them on my pillow, called to speak to manager she argued me down, told me i loved them when i left, girl please. She refused to give me my money back, i contacted my bank and did a dispute for dissatisfaction of service. I told her she could either fix them or i would get my money back. I really like this shop. Everyone is really good at what they do and they are very professional and friendly. A previous review about cocktails really confuses me. They do not offer cocktails:) I had a gel manicure while I was on vacation in San Diego about 3 weeks ago. I needed a re-do and I was really nervous about the removal. I went to Mega and it was just fine. I was worried about scraping and was relieved when she used an acrylic nail tip to remove the gel. Really smart! I wish I could give 0 stars! I was a walk in client. Sat in the pedi chair for 45 minutes with water in it, no pedicurist. My pedicure was way below average. Only 2 of 10 very long toenails were trimmed in spite of my request that they be cut. The 10 minute massage was literally a couple of slaps! The technician practically polished my entire foot. It was the worst pedicure experience I have ever had. I will never go back. read more

Pay attention to all the negative reviews. They don't lie. I have been going to this nail salon for at least two years. It's convenient to where I live, and for the most part, I was always satisfied until today. Today is my birthday, and to treat myself, I went to Camp Springs Mega Nails to get a manicure and pedicure. When I walked in the shop, there were no clients waiting and only two or three having their nails done. The manicurist told me it would be about a ten minute wait. Fine, no problem. I could wait. I took about five minutes choosing my color, and then I asked the manicurist if I could sit in one of the pedicure chairs while I waited. She screams at me, "CAN YOU WAIT 10 MINUTE?! THEY NOT FINISH YET!!" I said, "Well, there are vacant chairs available, and all I want to do is sit down and wait, but if you're going to be rude and nasty, you're not getting my money." And with that I walked the **** out and went to Mega Hair 2000, another shop with a similar name, but a completely different professional level. That witch at Camp Springs needs to be slapped with a wet noodle. If you want to be treated like a piece of you-know-what, help yourself to Camp Springs Mega Nails. A woman who was assigned to do my mani/pedi was rude, inattentive and did a poor job. She answered numerous texts and phone calls, barely applied lotion & my polish came off a few toes later the same day. My feet were dry when I left and I am so glad I didn't leave a tip. They deserve 0 stars. I came to get my nails done for my birthday dinner and I told the man Tommy how I wanted my nails done and he completely disregarded my idea of how I wanted my nails and did his own thing. When he cut the tip down I tried to look and check if the length was what I wanted and he pushed my hand back down, so I could not see it. I brushed that off and continued to get my nails done when he was done and I went to wash my hands I was completely disappointed I've never had short nails and I DO NOT LIKE THEM. I was pissed at that point and was just ready to go, but I gave the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe after they are polished they will look better... I was wrong ! Also while he was doing my nails he was continuously belittling the nail tech on the station beside him to her client talking about how she doesn't do a good job and she rushes through just to get the next customer, Ridiculously unprofessional! I called the next day which was today April 29,2017 and ask if I could get my nails redone because it's not what I asked for, he was disrespectful and kept trying to get me to take his orders which were to be quiet and listen to him... and I DID NOT if I'm trying to explain something to you you don't tell me to be quiet and listen to you I AM THE CUSTOMER, he kept saying I said the length was ok which was a lie, as I said before he moved my hand and after the nails were cut I thought there was no way to fix them. So continue talking to him over the phone because I am extremely upset he proceeds to say he will call the police because I repeatedly asked for either my nails to be redone or to receive a full refund and he said he would not do my nails I continued to ask my refund and he hung up the phone.
