Friendly and helpful staff. Pontoon and fishing boats, and padddleboard rentals are available. We rented a pontoon boat but the one we were given wasn't quite what was described to us. It was pretty beat up and old. They were apologetic and offered us a refund instead of taking it out, but we did anyway and made the most of it. We have a 5th wheel so don't need lots of amenities, but there is only one shower in each bathroom at the main store area. It's new and clean, but there is only one. No laundry either. And no trash pickup at the pad sites, so bring lots of large trash bags and plan to carry it to the dumpster each day. The store carries lots of necessities for camper upkeep but minimal food, beverage and sundries. Overall a good experience.

Man, was I happy to find Palestine RV Park! It's a fairly small park tucked away in the trees, with many long-term residents. However, they also cater to short term stays. I had my trailer there for four days. The sites are huge, with 30 and 50 amp electrical, water, and sewer. Roads in and around the park are asphalt paved, but the sites are unpaved, and it's fine sand that gets in EVERYTHING, so be sure to bring some doormats or something. The park is quiet (park rules say that quiet hours are from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, lol) and pitch dark at night, but there are pole lamps at the sites that you can plug in and use if you need additional lighting. Angela, the owner, met me at the gate in her UTV and led me directly to my site, where she did the paperwork and payment, then offered to help me set up my trailer! There's a nice laundry and shower building near the entrance. The park has controlled access with keypads and a gate controller, and you can come and go as you please. Everyone I encountered there was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay there again! p.s. Be sure to look for Bigfoot when you're there! ;-)

Hundreds of LITTLE ROACHES hiding in the baseboards of the house. DISGUSTING! Figured maybe he didn't know about the situation but his silence speaks louder than my screams when a ROACH touches me!

This place is going down hill fast. I've been coming here for years, since I think around 2008,…read moremaybe longer. You would come in, pick your site, let the ranger station know and you were done. Now, since a couple months ago, they changed it to where "a computer" would pick your site for your, which would be good if all the sites were the same, but they definitely are not! Some sites are paved, some are rock, some long or short, some easy to get into, some not. They basically took your choice away! Before, if you got here and all the "good" sites were taken, that's the luck of the draw. Both times since they changed to this I've had to ask to change the site, first time, I couldn't get into the site if I wanted to. Second time they put us in a site we definitely did not want. Now, they put up a sign no drinks in the edge of the pool, no exceptions! A lot of people go to the pool, stand at the side, drink whatever it is, chill and have a good time. So now that choice has been taken away. I can understand glass containers, glass and pools don't mix, so punish those people! We have loved this place for years, but it's getting to where we don't like coming here anymore. Some of the employees are nice, some not so much. Some of the employees seem extremely lazy and are just here to talk and play. Mean while, the speed limit is 5 mph, I've seen people doing I think around 25 or 30. People have their kids and dogs walking around the park and I haven't seen much to stop that. But standing around the pool drinking whatever and having a good time, the managers said shut it down! I really don't know what's happening here. Just think hard before buying a membership. The memberships can cost thousands of dollars and they can make changes anytime, whether you like it or not, and you either have to deal with it or get rid of it. They don't care what you think!
