Just got back from a camping trip here. We stayed in a screened shelter on the hen house side. We…read morewere there for 2.5 days and we managed to finish ALL of the (walkable) trails in the whole park. The park is small but gorgeous and has lots of things to do. Camping, swimming, fish, kayak/canoe... we did two evening swims, and one where it was completely secluded. Absolutely magical. Sadly didn't spot any gators during this trip, but we saw lots of deer and armadillos! The mosquitoes are wicked tho so be sure to pack loooots of bug spray. Our bug spray had DEET in it and although it detered them a bit, it didn't stop them fully. It also rained twice for a little bit over the span of two days so that was really nice considering we come from austin and we haven't seen rain in a few months. Our first shelter actually ended up flooding so staff allowed us to love our things into another available and dry shelter. So anyway - overall we had the most amazing camping trip here. Pros: everything Cons: mosquitos We definitely left here covered head to toe in bites! Haha.

Katrina the manager told her she would get her deposit and half a months rent. That was three months ago and she keeps contacting the manager and is told it's up to the owner but refuses to give her the name and number of the responsible party. My granddaughter lost her job because of Covid 19 and could use the money. Now Katrina is hanging up on her. The park might be OK for a short visit but not if you have to give a deposit.

They have an underwater rope course you can use to navigate from one side to the other. The waters color and clarity come from its origin. It was originally a Limestone Rock Quarry. Spring water has filled it up making this a good dive location. Another feature I found to be very cool for instructors is the large underwater decks. These are part of the course and make a great place to perform dive skills without disturbing the silt on the bottom. My dive site had an easy entry and exit. The depth ranges depending on the amount of rain throughout the year. This is a great place to teach new students, practice your skills, or train as a dive team. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Being this was my first time here they answered all of my questions.

We have stayed here many times in different places in the park. It is one of our favorites because…read moremy kids love to fish. The sunsets are breathtaking. During the summer we love the beach area and the pool. Unfortunately this time of year the fish aren't biting well. My issues this time were that the table at our site was very rusty and very lopsided. We had to keep several paper plates under it to keep drinks from toppling over. Also the first day we were there, I could not take my kids to the pool area and hot tub area because there were people in there with their dog running around and not on a leash. Even though it was small it came running up to the fence barking and growling at our dog as we walked by so there was no way I was taking my kids inside. Our fire pit was full of trash when we arrived and it had rained so my husband and son had to empty it out. There was also a lot of dog feces everywhere. It seems no one cleans up after their own pets. I took off one star for the issues because we normally don't have them so I'm hoping it was a one-off. We will definitely be back.

We had space 6, lake view, and it was beautiful. Unfortunately when my husband booked it, he didn't notice it was literally next to the highway. It was noisy,but that wasn't their fault. The fishing was great, I caught 5 catfish,my son caught one as well, my husband caught a nice bass and a big turtle. The only issue we had was on our last night, we fished all day and decided to relax and watch a movie before bed. The Internet was out, which happens, but when he called and told the lady the wifi wasn't working, her response was, "It's working up here". Petty, I know, but not a great response. She asked if we could just use our hotspot and what not. She did, however text us that she checked and there were outages in the area, then messaged us when it was up again, but we never could get it to work. Again, not a huge issue and we understand that it does happen. I work in the hotel industry and we get this too. All in all nice place for fishing with the family. We didn't try any other things they offer, restaurant, pool and playground, so I can't review them. Pets are allowed so that's a huge bonus. We would definitely stay again.
