Camp Toodik is a well maintained, clean, family campground. The owners are super nice and helpful. Always willing to help to make your visit perfect. I think they offer a nice variety of activities and the swimming pool is great on hot summer days. There is a small game room, a rec room, putt putt, playground, and plenty of hiking trails. Two very clean bathroom and shower houses are well kept. If you are looking for a family campground, this is the place for you.

The name *alone* makes it a winner (...or should I say wiener?) I have to admit--when we pulled up to this campground, I did a total double-take when I saw the name. And yes, it sounds just like it's spelled. In combination with it's kick-ass/hilarious name, this place rocks it. Super family-friendly and close to any and all outdoor activities in Mohican. I think what I liked the most is how Toodik is a middle-of-the-road kind of campground. Cabins and campsites secluded enough to feel like you're roughing it, but close enough to feel like you're not alone in the middle of the woods. A huge part of the whole camping experience is the community of it all. That's another reason why this place is great. Not only do you sense the "family" vibe when you check in, but everyone seems to be super social. We stayed a year or so ago and there was a Halloween parade for the kids, so cute! This particular time we chose to stay in a cabin for the weekend, which was surprisingly nice! All the amenities, fridge, stove, microwave, bed, nice bathroom, porch and fire pit. Although, I would love to come back to tent camp. It was a little too cool in the season to do much of the fun, summer activities by Mohican, but there's a nice river to fish and some great hiking trails. Overall, a great, reasonably priced campground, especially in the summer and early fall. Can't wait to come back and do more exploring!

All of our experiences have been pretty awesome. There are scheduled events every weekend and there's something for everyone kids and adults. The clubhouse where the main office is located houses a laundry room (quarter operated), male and female restrooms and showers which are updated and have been clean every visit, a store with bagged, ice wood bundles, food and drink items, a small selection of camping gear, pool floats, clothing, shoes and toys as well. In addition the club house also has a game room with ping-pong table, arcade games, pool table, puzzles and board games, and a large flat screen TV. Wally World also has an large outdoor pool, shallow end is 3 feet deep, a Putt-Putt golf course, a new playground, a fairy garden and house, and an outdoor stage and white screen for concerts and movies. Dogs are allowed, bicycles are allowed. The only thing I think I would add to this place would be the option to rent a golf cart for handicapped or elderly visitors. You cannot bring in your own firewood in. Fireworks are not allowed but sparklers are permitted.

At only an hour and a half drive from Columbus it is very convenient for us to go have some fun and let loose. APC is located along the Mohican River which is Ohio's official canoe capital. There are several liveries on the river which drop in around 4000 boats and many more inter tubes every Saturday through the summer. The river boasts a dynamic crowd of people including families, college students, retired couples, and even the Amish indigenous to the area can be seen on one of the many canoes that pass by the campground. Loudonville Canoe Livery serves campers at APC. From here you can pack up your cooler and favorite food and beverages, pay, and then get picked up by van and taken upstream to the livery. Trips range from 4-14 miles and cost anywhere from $18-70 or so. The best part is once you are on the river you just have to canoe back to the campground. No losing car keys, no drunk driving for those who have some beers, just a relaxing stroll with you and your favorite friends or family at your own pace. Please remember, no glass bottles on the river. Campsites cost anywhere from $20-30/night depending on hookups, which makes APC one of the best deals on the river. They are all spacious, large, and well tended. Bill, the owner, keeps a store stocked with your favorite beverages, camping gear, and other necessities that are often forgotten at home. I find this convenient when I forget ketchup or a pack of buns for the hot dogs. In addition to a great store, every weekend through the summer APC hosts some type of activity whether it be a live band, karaoke, a dance for the kids, or a live chainsaw carving demonstration--there is something for everyone. Onsite facilities are limited, no shower houses. But there are pit and portable toilets that are kept clean. There is also no pool but you didn't come here for chlorine when you have the river. APC is my favorite place to camp on the river. Most people quiet down by 11pm and there are controls in place to keep people with loud motorcycles and trucks from driving through the campground full throttle at 3am. If you're looking for a great, family oriented place to stay where you can let loose a little and have some fun canoeing on the river then definitely check out Arrow Point Campground.

What the sites lacked in width, they made up for in length. There was plenty of room for our tents and vehicles. They had a DJ Saturday night that was pretty good. A lot of people out dancing and having a good time. With our large group, we couldn't fit on the first bus for canoe drop off. So we had to wait about an hour to board to get shuttled to our drop off but that was fine. I definitely suggest making reservations if you plan on going to down the river. Overall it was pretty relaxed, clean, and our entire group had a great time. The prices were amazing too. We will be coming back next summer! (picture is the view from our campsite)
