In few words, Its a child care where teachers are hired once a year ( When the summer camps runs). They are picked randomly, mostly without proper training about handling kids. For younger kids it can be quite a decision for mothers, as this can account for safety. Children have free access to television. I would day, one of their days curriculum is watching movie. The owner justifies this by saying those are interactive play/ education etc. but primarily these are children movie. It is played so that children can spend time watching them , so as free the teachers from their responsibilities of child care. Less attention is given to the kids for food, play, etc. They are primarily on their own . The owner talks about passion about childcare education and all. You can see her doing all this while parents are around,. But really this is just a way to earn money. We went to one of the day trips with them. While traveling in the bus, a small girl probably 4- 5 years old, slept and fell from the bus seat. She hit her head , but was okay, as teachers sitting in the near by seats came rushing. There was no teacher sitting with her or on her seat for assistance. They were sitting with other teachers. It was sad. We tried to complain, but the owner has her own excuses. I would recommend not to send your kids to the summer camp. Its unsafe, with the owner having little response from these small accidents. Today, these accidents seems small, but big things can happen as well. So, Please avoid sending kids to this summer camp. Its for their safety. As the response to the Business owners' comments I have the following to say.: Parents can very well go there and see what is right and what is wrong. It was only a review to help parents. And definitely , it is the parents discretion , what they perceive right and wrong. This is what I felt as a parent, when I sent my kid to this summer camp. I hope the review helps. Business owners don't like negative comments .. however, Parents should write what they think is right, whether positive or negative review..Its helps us to know and guide in parent hood.

I enrolled my 6 year old son in 2 programs at NTR. The power skating program was pathetic. The…read moreratio was at least 6 kids to one coach. However, only one coach was coaching. He would demonstrate a drill and then the kids would follow. The other coaches merely skated back and forth, from one end to the other in silence. Any coach knows this is not an effective way to teach young kids, as they do not gain knowledge from a monkey see, monkey do platform. I also registered him for the 3 on 3 house league. This was an absolute disaster. There were four teams and two of those teams were select super teams. Those two teams dominated while the teams with single registrants floundered. Goalies were consistently absent. Players were consistently absent. Stereotypical crazy hockey parents were prevalent on the benches using foul language and denigrating small children for their play. On more than one occasion there were more than 5 parents behind benches when all you needed was two to manage the doors. NTR management did not care. This place is exactly what hockey Canada is trying to reign in. It is the Wild West of minor hockey.

There's places to row, places to swim, sandy outdoor volleyball fields, indoor housing to do activities (and there were so many activities to do, painting, singing, making pins etc). The dining hall was huge and it definitely got festive when it was filled. Again, it was never crowded to me and it seemed as though the more people there were, the better. The camp staff are all amazing and friendly, even though I know it can be super stressful taking care of that many people. It seemed like second nature to them and their vibes definitely spread. There are also indoor cabins to reside in and they are huge. They definitely give you a 'overnight summer camp' kind of feel, with bunk beds and everything. It surprisingly did not get that cold at night either! The washrooms were not as filthy as I expected them to be, and they were actually quite spacious as well. Overall recommend. If your child is coming here for a school grad trip, definitely let them go for an experience that they'll keep with them for life!

Knew a lot of coaches from my competitive days. Know a couple of the new coaches from those days as well. All very friendly and highly qualified individuals. One thing I have to say is I loved the fact that flying dragon accepted credit card. Under the new regime its cash or debit only which is really annoying. Courts are spacious, nets sometimes a lil too low (not a big deal cuz u can readjust em). Courts have begun to get separated a lot which can be a pain for management (and patrons). Washroom has a shower in it. Lighting pretty optimal. Temperature fluctuates quite a bit.

KC hired inexperienced staff or students to do clerical work, and front desk staff changed…read morefrequently. They often copy and paste "KC standard " asking for class renewal. Often times, email was sent to student A with student B's name. More importantly, they actually don't understand your actual needs, keeping asking for "renewal " . As far as I know, lots of boys and girls quit KC because KC won't let them to move up to higher level until you completed a certain amount of "repeating current level " classes. They seemed very strict with moving you up, however, they were not serious with you when teaching in the class: either sent inexperienced "coach " to class or do not pay attention to each individual student. Overall, it's a very money driven club !

My son loved Monkey Vault so much he can't wait to get back there. It was his favourite activity and cant wait to get back there when the door open again. None of the other campers had to eat everything, only me. Even though I found something I liked to eat every meal, they forced me to eat other things. They didn't let us bring sunscreen onto trip, so I had blistering sunburns all session and still have a tan from it two months later. I got sick very early into camp, and I had been repeatedly asking to go home all session as it felt like I had covid. They didn't let me go home until the end of session, and by then everyone else was sick too. If your kid isn't a picky eater and is willing to disregard councillors' wishes to prioritize their health, Can Aqua is really fun! Just be aware.
